In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the Community interior, including residents' apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner.
Housekeeping Responsibilities
Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments. This includes but is not limited to, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.
Resident apartments also include cleaning and defrost refrigerators (as needed), cleaning and checking heat system filters, etc., changing the bed and linens, and ensuring adequate linen supplies in each apartment. Turn mattress (with assistance) as necessary and empty waste baskets.
Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed. Pay special attention to the main entry area, focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
Launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities provided.
Follow Company sanitation and safety procedures.
Server Responsibilities
Greet residents and guests at each table with a smile to serve beverages, cereals, and/or soups/salads from the cart.
Courteously and clearly review the menu of the meal, take resident orders, and serve meals and desserts.
Return cart to the kitchen and assist with storage of perishable items. If needed, deliver trays to resident rooms.
Bus and clear dishes from tables after meals and reset for the next meal following proper sanitizing procedures for tables and chairs as outlined in the Food Service Guidelines. Vacuum carpets, etc.
Complete side work - fill sugar holders, replenish creamers, clean coffeemaker, etc.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
Strong organization and time management skills.
Basic computer skills.

Ensure logs are accurately completed in a timely manner. i.e., refrigerator, freezer and production sheets)
Follow Holiday sanitation standards by effectively cleaning while working, including preparation and serving areas, pots and pans, kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors, using appropriate cleaning schedules and charts.
Focus on resident satisfaction and resolve any food-compliant issues as needed.

In the role of General Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the community, including full P&L responsibility. The General Manager executes the operations plan and evaluates all aspects of the business, including the recruiting, hiring, development and performance management of the team. With a focus towards high performance sales and customer service, the General Manager complies with all Company requirements and regulations and ensures a safe and productive working and living environment.
Partner with Regional Vice President in the development of all sales and operations strategies and tactics for the community consistent with the Company's objectives and expectations.
Regularly communicate community performance with Regional Vice President.
Supervise and partner with Community Sales Manager to assess competitive threats, sales plan, and engage in business-to-business sales calls.
Perform scheduled marketing and sales activities, including but not limited to calls, tours, and sales meetings, resulting in increased census.
Implement successful strategies regarding labor, occupancy, expenses, and overall quality enhancement, and review and redirect activity, if necessary.
Assist in the development of community budgets and capital requirements, including forecasting and approving all expenses.
Act as a liaison between field operations and the Support Center. Build strong relationships with Support Center resources.
Perform regular reviews of and make recommendations on all aspects of building needs and preventative maintenance.
Provide on-call and overnight coverage as specified by schedule or as needed.
Able to work in various positions at community and fills in as needed due to training, PTO coverage, absences, etc.
Build a high performing team and keep engagement high. Employee satisfaction and engagement scores meet or exceed Company's standards.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, developing, and performance managing assigned staff. Team sizes can vary, average range is 18-24.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, hospitality, or related field preferred.

Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in operations management with demonstrated success in meeting financial goals specific to senior/retirement living, assisted living, long-term care, hospitality, restaurant or retail management, or other related fields.
Demonstrated success in operating and maintaining a quality, customer service focused workforce.
Experience in successfully recruiting, training, and developing team members; understanding of performance management expectations as guided by the Company.
Understanding of facilities management and ensuring systems are maintained properly.
Proficient knowledge of computer systems; Microsoft Office Suite.

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing cleaning duties assigned to apartments, interior and exterior common areas and amenities.
Clean public areas and resident's apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
Perform all housekeeping duties including:
Distributing laundered articles and linens
Changing beds
Cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed
Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
Dusting furniture and equipment
Polishing metalwork
Washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
Performs all laundry duties, including:
Washing and drying resident laundry and textiles in provided appliances
Folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately
Distributing laundered articles and linens
Changing bed linens.
Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps regularly.
Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested.
Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies.
Stock the cleaning cart with supplies.
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area(s).
Work with maintenance to ensure that the trash and dumpster areas are clean.
Request maintenance work orders for any maintenance repairs needed.
Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly.
Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to Supervisor.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Assists in planning parties and activities as well as decorating the community according to the season and/or holiday throughout the years as well as planning monthly birthday parties to honor residents.
Assists in Bright Beginnings including housewarmings.
Supports and actively participates in the community's census building initiatives.
Maintains records of all activities, resident participation levels and acceptance of each activity by residents as required by state law.
Assists Engage Life Director in enlisting the services of volunteers to aid the activities program.
May drive company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations (only if required by community).

What you will do as a Server
