Job Description

Overview

Travel Retail Service Merchandiser is responsible for representing Acosta, our clients, and our customers by effectively working in teams to perform reset and remodel work including, but not limited to, reading and implementation of plan-o-grams, new item placement, void corrections, and special merchandising activity. Must be a self-starter, quick learner, has a strong attention to detail, and works well in a team environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Read and follow a plan-o-gram to effectively complete reset and remodel work. Have a working knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology

  • Perform duties such as moving and cleaning shelves, installing new racks and shelves, displaying merchandise properly, placing shelf strips and attaching tags properly, checking date codes and plan-o-gram integrity, and processing pack-outs, restocks and reorders as necessary

  • Partner with store personnel and co-workers to achieve and maintain merchandising excellence, discuss changes, and build an effective working relationship

  • Effectively and accurately prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to assigned reset and remodel work.

  • Perform job safely by demonstrating full awareness of his/her surroundings. Utilize proper safety techniques and equipment use when necessary. Be proactive in alerting management to any unsafe act or condition to prevent injuries

  • Understand and follow all Acosta Policies and standard operating procedures

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Some experience may be substituted for some of the above education.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • 1+ year's Customer Service experience preferred. Prior sales agent, retail and reset responsibility experience preferred

  • Possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with business partners

  • Comfortable utilizing Technology (i.e., smartphones, computer, copier/fax, and handheld devices)

  • Strong demonstration of the following core competencies:

  • Quality Commitment Maintain quality standards that meet and/or exceed expectations

  • Detail Oriented Ensure work accuracy

  • Customer Service Provide a level of service to customer concerns.

  • Communication Skills Ability to communicate effectively.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Effective ability to work accurately with web-based applications to indicate work availability, check work assignments, accept work assignments, receive work documentation and information, record work start and completion times, record work mileage, record work expenses, record work time and attendance, and complete training activities

  • Must be willing and able to work in cold environmental conditions (i.e., refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores) for limited periods of time

  • Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, decision making and leadership skills. Must be able to read and communicate effectively with others

  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive in a car for extended periods of time

  • Travel is required and could be up to 50%. Overnight stays and occasional weekend work would be required.

Description and Requirements

As a Retail Specialist at Premium, you'll ensure Premium's client brands stand out at Walmart stores by driving product availability. Your efforts executing retail merchandising activities will connect customers with the brands they love in one of the largest retailers in the world.

What will you do?

  • Locate merchandise in the backroom of Walmart stores in order to place product on the floor.

  • Stock and pack out products to help ensure shoppers find what they need.

  • Front face products to make sure product shelves look the best they can.

  • Receive marketing and promotional materials at your home and bring them to the store.

  • Install and place promotional materials as outlined in instructions to ensure our clients' products stand out.

  • Build displays to showcase client products as needed.

  • Answer simple, step-by step questions within Premium's field technology on your mobile device as you complete your work.

  • Take photos of completed work to demonstrate your success.

  • Represent Premium and Premium clients in your assigned Walmart store(s).

  • Partner with Walmart store management and associates to get the job done.

  • Collaborate with your direct manager via email, phone and text.

How will you succeed?

  • Owning your store(s). You will be the face of Premium as you visit Walmart on behalf of our clients. Over time, you'll be the go-to Premium resource because of the relationships you build.

  • Enjoy working independently as a Premium representative but remembering you're an extension of the Walmart family.

  • Effectively communicating with store associates, store managers and Premium team members.

  • Leveraging the support of and sharing best practices with our Walmart team nationwide through closed social media groups and a variety of communication channels.

  • Contacting Premium's Operations Support Center for help with challenges in store - they're here to help!

  • Completing work within the provided timeframe

  • Closely following detailed instructions to ensure we get it right the first time.

  • Reporting your work the same day you complete it.

What tools do you need for the job?

  • Access to reliable transportation to get you from multiple retail locations in your area.

  • A smartphone with access to data and internet in order to report and upload photos.

The Builder Support Representative is responsible for driving the success of Whirlpool Corporation's diverse products and services for strategic Builder Trade Customer accounts. These include National single-family home builders and are one of the top strategic priorities for Whirlpool Corporation. The Builder Support Representative will actively manage a large geographical region and be assigned Trade Customer accounts, be responsible for growing the customer relationship, and will be measured on customer relationship key performance indicators and sales and training targets. Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for a geographic territory and call on Builder Trade Customer accounts to build relationships, sell, and train over the Whirlpool product mix, and ensure customer excellence in job completion process

  • Lead large group trainings of Whirlpool's strategic builders. Drive essential high-level relationships with Builder Trade Customers through management job site and Design Center. Deliver all product and process trainings and other strategic priorities to help drive sales and ultimately customer satisfaction.

  • Deliver presentations to educate Builder Trade Customers on clients' key product differentiators, messages, promotions, etc.

  • Maintain working knowledge of all products to be a subject matter expert and direct questions from Builder Trade Customers related to product issues, allocation and inventory challenges to Support Services Team.

  • As requested, attend and execute at Whirlpool Builder events, open houses or Builder Trade Customer related activities to educate and train on products key features and offerings

  • Partner with Local Market Manager to promote seamless sales support to Builder Trade Customers

  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years of customer service or training experience

  • Experience with new construction building industry, residential single or multi-family construction

  • Experience with home appliance, specific to either retail, direct, business and/or national retail

  • Needs to be tech savvy, strong working knowledge of Google G Suite

  • Exhibit an energetic and enthusiastic attitude and tremendous interpersonal communication skills

  • Communicate effectively in group presentations and demonstrations

  • Independent and motivated team player; ability to succeed in a self-directed environment

  • Possess excellent communication, organization and presentation skills

  • Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday

  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs

  • Ability to utilize or acquire a cellular device approved by Whirlpool corporation for business communications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Some experience may be substituted for some of the above education.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • 1+ year's Customer Service experience preferred. Prior sales agent, retail and reset responsibility experience preferred

  • Possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with business partners

  • Comfortable utilizing Technology (i.e., smartphones, computer, copier/fax, and handheld devices)

  • Strong demonstration of the following core competencies:

  • Quality Commitment Maintain quality standards that meet and/or exceed expectations
