The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Cyber Risk Analyst in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. (Home-based work available)

The Business Technology (BT) Sr. Cyber Risk Analyst is responsible for risk identification and management across the BT department and the overall American Heart Association organization. This position will support the BT Risk Manager in the management and administration of the Cyber/Risk Management program and Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) processes and tools. .

The primary goal of the BT Risk Management team is to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of American Heart Association 's data. The Sr. Cyber Security Risk Analyst will partner with all appropriate parties which includes, but is not limited to: other departments, service providers, application service providers, technology staff, etc. to help ensure risks are managed appropriately to support the BT Risk Management needs of the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the Cyber Risk Management Program (CRMP). Apply quantitative risk valuation models and tooling to inform and support strategic and tactical risk-based decisions.

  • Enhance Vendor Security Assessment process by collaborating with business and technology stakeholders. Maintain security scorecards and metrics from vendors, corporate functions and affiliated offices. Communicates technical issues to diverse audiences and have knowledge and/or experience in application and infrastructure security, public cloud.

  • Review and analyzes statistics of network events and system performance to locate and recommend remediation and lead strategies for discovered vulnerabilities.

  • Assist and partner with the Affiliates on annual PCI Data Security Certification Process.

  • Support and administer the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Tool surrouding data mapping, cookie consent, privacy consent, third pary risk management and overall risk management.

  • Will be point of contact to coordinate Technical incident response. Support incident response efforts and conduct post-incident analysis to identify areas for improvement.

  • Assist project teams in the implementation of security measures to meet corporate security policies, manage risk, and meet external regulations, including various data security standards.

  • Weight business needs against security concerns and articulate issues and options to management. Research and assess new threats and security alerts and recommend remedial action.

  • Ensures of proper documentation of technology assessment results, and monitors remediation. Deliver all documentation developed during task execution, with status of all work in progress. Create Weekly and Monthly Status Reports, including daily technical task reports, threat management reports, among others.

  • Support the Business Technology Disaster Recovery process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, Information Security and/or Risk Management.

  • At least 6 years of experience applying information security controls methods, processes and risk management best practices in a Global-International forum.

  • Proven experience in succesffully implementing PCI DSS framework.

  • Strong technical information security knowledge to assess various information security and risk management processes and tools.

  • Experience with Security Controls frameworks (e.g. CobIT, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, RMF, among others) and knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CPRA, CPA, etc.)

  • Able to work effectively in an environment characterized by multi-tasking, fast-paced, lead by multiple projects and conflicting priorities. Multi-level communications and interpersonal skills (including strong documentation skills). Able to effectively communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff; across IT and business.

  • Information Security Certification(s) preferred, which may include, but is not limited to: CEH, CISSP, PCI ISA, among others

Compensation & Benefits

Responsibilities

The Program Implementation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day site recruitment, site consultation, and project management of activities for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. This person will identify, build, nurture, and maintain relationships to recruit participating sites to achieve program goals. Building on established relationships with hospitals and health systems, this role will provide in-depth process and quality improvement consultation including individual site support, facilitation of educational opportunities, intervention tracking, and process mapping. This person will be responsible for assisting with sales, onboarding, customer retention, and related activities to insure excellence and attention to detail throughout the site management process. Additionally, this person will be responsible for daily operations related to meeting project deliverables.

This role will regularly collaborate closely with physician leadership, C-suite leadership, and site clinical teams, so should have experience working with these roles. Thie role also requires the individual to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision, work independently, have positive relationship cultivation skills, strong project management skills and be results-oriented.

  • Identify and develop pipeline of prospective new and existing customers for enrollment in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. Oversee contracting process. Coordinate efforts among hospitals and hospital systems on project goals and objectives, including quality improvement and research.

  • Serve as main account manager of recruited sites. Onboard, manage and consult participating sites on site-level and system-level evidence-based metrics, aiming to support improved clinical care and outcomes. Facilitate sites utilizing pilot and established interoperability between originating source data to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry, when needed.

  • Establish and conduct data monitoring activities within registry tool. This position will continually review site and registry-wide data for quality, completeness, and quality improvement-related opportunities. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Develop and deliver site and program-wide targeted education and training materials, utilizing collected insights.

  • Identify, build, cultivate and manage key high-level partner and customer relationships to achieve program goals. Collaborate with the program's Volunteer Committee, and other high-level physicians and C-suite members from participating sites and stakeholders. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to hospitals, healthcare systems, quality improvement organizations, research organizations, state health departments, and payor groups.

  • Communicate regularly with Project leadership to assure tasks are completed according to project timeline. Work with colleagues and external partners through ongoing meetings to report out on project deliverables.

  • Support project leadership in developing research infrastructure conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science. Guide sites through research proposal process and review submissions, as appropriate.

  • Analyze, collate, and present results of trainings, education, and data to continually evaluate next steps and needs for program. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Create, update, and disseminate marketing materials when appropriate. Assist with other marketing aspects such as website maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Two (2) - Five (5) years of relevant experience

  • Experience and proven comprehensive record of Microsoft Office suite skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience in healthcare or in a public health-related organization, clinical registries, patient registries, clinical studies or quality improvement programs

  • Experience and proven record of program/project management, including experience in influencing performance without direct line accountability

  • Ability to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications skills, including communication with clinical leadership

  • Ability to interact and engage with clinicians and C-suite, ideally in hospital setting

  • Experience and proven record of account management and sales success/business development

  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of American Heart Association staff, volunteers, and the public.

  • Access to reliable transportation

  • Ability to travel up to 10% local and overnight stay

This position will be part of our Health Care by Food (HCxF) Food Is Medicine research initiative. This multiyear initiative is conducting the research designed to provide evidence of effectiveness and cost effectiveness of Food Is Medicine interventions (such as medically tailored meals and produce prescriptions) to prevent, manage, and treat cardiovascular disease.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an accessible clinical trial database design by analyzing data inquiry needs, ensuring security of information and organizing layout for the best user interface and access by scientists and researchers. We would be looking for you to be able to integrate data from different sources (clinical, claims, patient-reported survey data, food vendors). The Database Designer is responsible for building and ensuring adherence to data management and data access policies, standards, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, establish, and recommend data mapping and design to standardize and harmonize large clinical datasets (including real world data) from multiple American Heart Association clinical trials, research studies and registries as well as other large external datasets.

  • Design, document and help develop user interface, data integration, definitions, and data dictionaries.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in clinical data and research, and external entities such as Amazon Web Services and EMR instances such as EPIC.

  • Assist in developing SQL database, query requirements, data management protocols; Establish customized data dashboard for large clinical datasets in AWS or other cloud-based server environment.

  • May develop and document through presentations of the overall project design for publication or scientific meetings.

  • Set up requirements on data format and labeling, meta-data generation such as code book, Case Report Forms, Surveys, EHR queries and other data project documentation process.

  • Develop and implement guidelines to manage data storage.

  • Design and follow data security best practices in data storage, transferring, sharing and reporting that is HIPAA compliant

  • Plan for Data Disposition and help develop a plan for subsequent public access. Ability to implement data de-identification techniques and tools.

  • Develop guidelines for presentation to individual research teams for Data Analytics workflow including data intake and handoff. Refine guidelines following discussion with individual project teams. Perform auditing services to ensure consistency and compliance.

  • Provide or facilitate training on use of claims and/or clinical trial data as needed through group webinars made available to all project teams.

  • Create visual and tabular (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, or statistical software such as SAS, R, Pyton or STATA) representations of data. Design customized templates featuring purpose-build statistical applications or tools to drive decision-making.

  • Maintain general awareness of importance of cardiovascular research advances through reading science literature, establishing and maintaining professional consultation contacts, attending meetings, monitoring legislation, and attending to inquiries from public and professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the Cyber Risk Management Program (CRMP). Apply quantitative risk valuation models and tooling to inform and support strategic and tactical risk-based decisions.

  • Enhance Vendor Security Assessment process by collaborating with business and technology stakeholders. Maintain security scorecards and metrics from vendors, corporate functions and affiliated offices. Communicates technical issues to diverse audiences and have knowledge and/or experience in application and infrastructure security, public cloud.

  • Review and analyzes statistics of network events and system performance to locate and recommend remediation and lead strategies for discovered vulnerabilities.

  • Assist and partner with the Affiliates on annual PCI Data Security Certification Process.

  • Support and administer the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Tool surrouding data mapping, cookie consent, privacy consent, third pary risk management and overall risk management.

  • Will be point of contact to coordinate Technical incident response. Support incident response efforts and conduct post-incident analysis to identify areas for improvement.

  • Assist project teams in the implementation of security measures to meet corporate security policies, manage risk, and meet external regulations, including various data security standards.

  • Weight business needs against security concerns and articulate issues and options to management. Research and assess new threats and security alerts and recommend remedial action.

  • Ensures of proper documentation of technology assessment results, and monitors remediation. Deliver all documentation developed during task execution, with status of all work in progress. Create Weekly and Monthly Status Reports, including daily technical task reports, threat management reports, among others.

  • Support the Business Technology Disaster Recovery process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, Information Security and/or Risk Management.

  • At least 6 years of experience applying information security controls methods, processes and risk management best practices in a Global-International forum.

  • Proven experience in succesffully implementing PCI DSS framework.

  • Strong technical information security knowledge to assess various information security and risk management processes and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, establish, and recommend data mapping and design to standardize and harmonize large clinical datasets (including real world data) from multiple American Heart Association clinical trials, research studies and registries as well as other large external datasets.

  • May develop and document through presentations of the overall project design for publication or scientific meetings.

  • Set up requirements on data format and labeling, meta-data generation such as code book, Case Report Forms, Surveys, EHR queries and other data project documentation process.

  • Develop and implement guidelines to manage data storage.

  • Design and follow data security best practices in data storage, transferring, sharing and reporting that is HIPAA compliant

  • Plan for Data Disposition and help develop a plan for subsequent public access. Ability to implement data de-identification techniques and tools.

  • Develop guidelines for presentation to individual research teams for Data Analytics workflow including data intake and handoff. Refine guidelines following discussion with individual project teams. Perform auditing services to ensure consistency and compliance.

  • Provide or facilitate training on use of claims and/or clinical trial data as needed through group webinars made available to all project teams.

  • Create visual and tabular (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, or statistical software such as SAS, R, Pyton or STATA) representations of data. Design customized templates featuring purpose-build statistical applications or tools to drive decision-making.

  • Maintain general awareness of importance of cardiovascular research advances through reading science literature, establishing and maintaining professional consultation contacts, attending meetings, monitoring legislation, and attending to inquiries from public and professionals.

Responsibilities

The Program Implementation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day site recruitment, site consultation, and project management of activities for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. This person will identify, build, nurture, and maintain relationships to recruit participating sites to achieve program goals. Building on established relationships with hospitals and health systems, this role will provide in-depth process and quality improvement consultation including individual site support, facilitation of educational opportunities, intervention tracking, and process mapping. This person will be responsible for assisting with sales, onboarding, customer retention, and related activities to insure excellence and attention to detail throughout the site management process. Additionally, this person will be responsible for daily operations related to meeting project deliverables.

This role will regularly collaborate closely with physician leadership, C-suite leadership, and site clinical teams, so should have experience working with these roles. Thie role also requires the individual to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision, work independently, have positive relationship cultivation skills, strong project management skills and be results-oriented.

  • Identify and develop pipeline of prospective new and existing customers for enrollment in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. Oversee contracting process. Coordinate efforts among hospitals and hospital systems on project goals and objectives, including quality improvement and research.

  • Serve as main account manager of recruited sites. Onboard, manage and consult participating sites on site-level and system-level evidence-based metrics, aiming to support improved clinical care and outcomes. Facilitate sites utilizing pilot and established interoperability between originating source data to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry, when needed.

  • Establish and conduct data monitoring activities within registry tool. This position will continually review site and registry-wide data for quality, completeness, and quality improvement-related opportunities. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Develop and deliver site and program-wide targeted education and training materials, utilizing collected insights.

  • Identify, build, cultivate and manage key high-level partner and customer relationships to achieve program goals. Collaborate with the program's Volunteer Committee, and other high-level physicians and C-suite members from participating sites and stakeholders. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to hospitals, healthcare systems, quality improvement organizations, research organizations, state health departments, and payor groups.

  • Communicate regularly with Project leadership to assure tasks are completed according to project timeline. Work with colleagues and external partners through ongoing meetings to report out on project deliverables.

  • Support project leadership in developing research infrastructure conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science. Guide sites through research proposal process and review submissions, as appropriate.

  • Analyze, collate, and present results of trainings, education, and data to continually evaluate next steps and needs for program. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Create, update, and disseminate marketing materials when appropriate. Assist with other marketing aspects such as website maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Two (2) - Five (5) years of relevant experience

  • Experience and proven comprehensive record of Microsoft Office suite skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience in healthcare or in a public health-related organization, clinical registries, patient registries, clinical studies or quality improvement programs

  • Experience and proven record of program/project management, including experience in influencing performance without direct line accountability

  • Ability to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications skills, including communication with clinical leadership

  • Ability to interact and engage with clinicians and C-suite, ideally in hospital setting

  • Experience and proven record of account management and sales success/business development

Responsibilities

The Program Implementation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day site recruitment, site consultation, and project management of activities for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. This person will identify, build, nurture, and maintain relationships to recruit participating sites to achieve program goals. Building on established relationships with hospitals and health systems, this role will provide in-depth process and quality improvement consultation including individual site support, facilitation of educational opportunities, intervention tracking, and process mapping. This person will be responsible for assisting with sales, onboarding, customer retention, and related activities to insure excellence and attention to detail throughout the site management process. Additionally, this person will be responsible for daily operations related to meeting project deliverables.

This role will regularly collaborate closely with physician leadership, C-suite leadership, and site clinical teams, so should have experience working with these roles. Thie role also requires the individual to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision, work independently, have positive relationship cultivation skills, strong project management skills and be results-oriented.

  • Identify and develop pipeline of prospective new and existing customers for enrollment in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. Oversee contracting process. Coordinate efforts among hospitals and hospital systems on project goals and objectives, including quality improvement and research.

  • Serve as main account manager of recruited sites. Onboard, manage and consult participating sites on site-level and system-level evidence-based metrics, aiming to support improved clinical care and outcomes. Facilitate sites utilizing pilot and established interoperability between originating source data to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry, when needed.

  • Establish and conduct data monitoring activities within registry tool. This position will continually review site and registry-wide data for quality, completeness, and quality improvement-related opportunities. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Develop and deliver site and program-wide targeted education and training materials, utilizing collected insights.

  • Identify, build, cultivate and manage key high-level partner and customer relationships to achieve program goals. Collaborate with the program's Volunteer Committee, and other high-level physicians and C-suite members from participating sites and stakeholders. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to hospitals, healthcare systems, quality improvement organizations, research organizations, state health departments, and payor groups.

  • Communicate regularly with Project leadership to assure tasks are completed according to project timeline. Work with colleagues and external partners through ongoing meetings to report out on project deliverables.

  • Support project leadership in developing research infrastructure conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science. Guide sites through research proposal process and review submissions, as appropriate.

  • Active participation in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the Cyber Risk Management Program (CRMP). Apply quantitative risk valuation models and tooling to inform and support strategic and tactical risk-based decisions.

  • Will be point of contact to coordinate Technical incident response. Support incident response efforts and conduct post-incident analysis to identify areas for improvement.

  • Assist project teams in the implementation of security measures to meet corporate security policies, manage risk, and meet external regulations, including various data security standards.

  • Weight business needs against security concerns and articulate issues and options to management. Research and assess new threats and security alerts and recommend remedial action.

  • Ensures of proper documentation of technology assessment results, and monitors remediation. Deliver all documentation developed during task execution, with status of all work in progress. Create Weekly and Monthly Status Reports, including daily technical task reports, threat management reports, among others.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, establish, and recommend data mapping and design to standardize and harmonize large clinical datasets (including real world data) from multiple American Heart Association clinical trials, research studies and registries as well as other large external datasets.

  • Design, document and help develop user interface, data integration, definitions, and data dictionaries.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in clinical data and research, and external entities such as Amazon Web Services and EMR instances such as EPIC.

  • Assist in developing SQL database, query requirements, data management protocols; Establish customized data dashboard for large clinical datasets in AWS or other cloud-based server environment.

  • May develop and document through presentations of the overall project design for publication or scientific meetings.

  • Set up requirements on data format and labeling, meta-data generation such as code book, Case Report Forms, Surveys, EHR queries and other data project documentation process.

  • Develop and implement guidelines to manage data storage.

  • Design and follow data security best practices in data storage, transferring, sharing and reporting that is HIPAA compliant

  • Plan for Data Disposition and help develop a plan for subsequent public access. Ability to implement data de-identification techniques and tools.

  • Develop guidelines for presentation to individual research teams for Data Analytics workflow including data intake and handoff. Refine guidelines following discussion with individual project teams. Perform auditing services to ensure consistency and compliance.

  • Provide or facilitate training on use of claims and/or clinical trial data as needed through group webinars made available to all project teams.

  • Create visual and tabular (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, or statistical software such as SAS, R, Pyton or STATA) representations of data. Design customized templates featuring purpose-build statistical applications or tools to drive decision-making.

  • Maintain general awareness of importance of cardiovascular research advances through reading science literature, establishing and maintaining professional consultation contacts, attending meetings, monitoring legislation, and attending to inquiries from public and professionals.

Qualifications

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an accessible clinical trial database design by analyzing data inquiry needs, ensuring security of information and organizing layout for the best user interface and access by scientists and researchers. Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and implementation of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry to improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes among patients in real-world acute care clinical settings throughout the US. Responsible for identifying, building, cultivating, and managing key high-level partner and customer relationships in a variety of healthcare sectors to achieve program goals. Responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing participating sites, liaising with site-level quality teams including high-level clinicians and C-suite members. Responsible for managing, monitoring, and consulting on site and system-level data, promoting evidence-based metrics for national benchmarking, including those that strive for health equity. Responsible for leveraging key high-level Volunteers to develop a research infrastructure, conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science.

  • Identify and develop pipeline of prospective new and existing customers for enrollment in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. Oversee contracting process. Coordinate efforts among hospitals and hospital systems on project goals and objectives, including quality improvement and research.

  • Onboard, manage and consult participating sites on site-level and system-level evidence-based metrics, aiming to support improved clinical care and outcomes. Facilitate interoperability between originating source data to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry, when needed.

  • Identify, build, cultivate and manage key high-level partner and customer relationships to achieve program goals. Collaborate with the program's Volunteer Committee, and other high-level physicians and C-suite members from participating sites and stakeholders.

  • Stakeholders include, but are not limited to hospitals, healthcare systems, quality improvement organizations, research organizations, state health departments, and payor groups.

  • Collaborate with Project Leadership and key high-level partners to aid in developing a research infrastructure conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science. Guide sites through research proposal process and review submissions, as appropriate.

  • Communicate regularly with Project leadership to assure tasks are completed according to project timeline. Work with colleagues and external partners through ongoing meetings to report out on project deliverables.

  • Analyze, collate, and present results of trainings, education, and data to continually evaluate next steps and needs for program. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Create, update, and disseminate marketing materials when appropriate. Assist with other marketing aspects such as website maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5 to 8 years relative experience

  • Experience in healthcare or in a public health-related organization, clinical registries, clinical studies, patient registries, or quality improvement programs.

  • Experience and proven record of program development and program management of a healthcare project, including experience in influencing performance without direct line accountability

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications skills

Responsibilities

The Program Implementation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day site recruitment, site consultation, and project management of activities for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. This person will identify, build, nurture, and maintain relationships to recruit participating sites to achieve program goals. Building on established relationships with hospitals and health systems, this role will provide in-depth process and quality improvement consultation including individual site support, facilitation of educational opportunities, intervention tracking, and process mapping. This person will be responsible for assisting with sales, onboarding, customer retention, and related activities to insure excellence and attention to detail throughout the site management process. Additionally, this person will be responsible for daily operations related to meeting project deliverables.

This role will regularly collaborate closely with physician leadership, C-suite leadership, and site clinical teams, so should have experience working with these roles. Thie role also requires the individual to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision, work independently, have positive relationship cultivation skills, strong project management skills and be results-oriented.

Responsibilities

The Program Implementation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day site recruitment, site consultation, and project management of activities for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. This person will identify, build, nurture, and maintain relationships to recruit participating sites to achieve program goals. Building on established relationships with hospitals and health systems, this role will provide in-depth process and quality improvement consultation including individual site support, facilitation of educational opportunities, intervention tracking, and process mapping. This person will be responsible for assisting with sales, onboarding, customer retention, and related activities to insure excellence and attention to detail throughout the site management process. Additionally, this person will be responsible for daily operations related to meeting project deliverables.

This role will regularly collaborate closely with physician leadership, C-suite leadership, and site clinical teams, so should have experience working with these roles. Thie role also requires the individual to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision, work independently, have positive relationship cultivation skills, strong project management skills and be results-oriented.

  • Identify and develop pipeline of prospective new and existing customers for enrollment in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. Oversee contracting process. Coordinate efforts among hospitals and hospital systems on project goals and objectives, including quality improvement and research.

  • Serve as main account manager of recruited sites. Onboard, manage and consult participating sites on site-level and system-level evidence-based metrics, aiming to support improved clinical care and outcomes. Facilitate sites utilizing pilot and established interoperability between originating source data to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry, when needed.

  • Establish and conduct data monitoring activities within registry tool. This position will continually review site and registry-wide data for quality, completeness, and quality improvement-related opportunities. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Develop and deliver site and program-wide targeted education and training materials, utilizing collected insights.

  • Identify, build, cultivate and manage key high-level partner and customer relationships to achieve program goals. Collaborate with the program's Volunteer Committee, and other high-level physicians and C-suite members from participating sites and stakeholders. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to hospitals, healthcare systems, quality improvement organizations, research organizations, state health departments, and payor groups.

  • Communicate regularly with Project leadership to assure tasks are completed according to project timeline. Work with colleagues and external partners through ongoing meetings to report out on project deliverables.

  • Support project leadership in developing research infrastructure conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science. Guide sites through research proposal process and review submissions, as appropriate.

  • Analyze, collate, and present results of trainings, education, and data to continually evaluate next steps and needs for program. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Create, update, and disseminate marketing materials when appropriate. Assist with other marketing aspects such as website maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Two (2) - Five (5) years of relevant experience

  • Experience and proven comprehensive record of Microsoft Office suite skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience in healthcare or in a public health-related organization, clinical registries, patient registries, clinical studies or quality improvement programs

  • Experience and proven record of program/project management, including experience in influencing performance without direct line accountability

  • Ability to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications skills, including communication with clinical leadership

  • Ability to interact and engage with clinicians and C-suite, ideally in hospital setting

  • Experience and proven record of account management and sales success/business development

  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of American Heart Association staff, volunteers, and the public.

  • Access to reliable transportation

  • Ability to travel up to 10% local and overnight stay

Compensation & Benefits

The Business Technology (BT) Sr. Cyber Risk Analyst is responsible for risk identification and management across the BT department and the overall American Heart Association organization. This position will support the BT Risk Manager in the management and administration of the Cyber/Risk Management program and Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) processes and tools. .

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the Cyber Risk Management Program (CRMP). Apply quantitative risk valuation models and tooling to inform and support strategic and tactical risk-based decisions.

  • Enhance Vendor Security Assessment process by collaborating with business and technology stakeholders. Maintain security scorecards and metrics from vendors, corporate functions and affiliated offices. Communicates technical issues to diverse audiences and have knowledge and/or experience in application and infrastructure security, public cloud.

  • Review and analyzes statistics of network events and system performance to locate and recommend remediation and lead strategies for discovered vulnerabilities.

  • Assist and partner with the Affiliates on annual PCI Data Security Certification Process.

  • Support and administer the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Tool surrouding data mapping, cookie consent, privacy consent, third pary risk management and overall risk management.

  • Will be point of contact to coordinate Technical incident response. Support incident response efforts and conduct post-incident analysis to identify areas for improvement.

  • Assist project teams in the implementation of security measures to meet corporate security policies, manage risk, and meet external regulations, including various data security standards.

  • Weight business needs against security concerns and articulate issues and options to management. Research and assess new threats and security alerts and recommend remedial action.

  • Ensures of proper documentation of technology assessment results, and monitors remediation. Deliver all documentation developed during task execution, with status of all work in progress. Create Weekly and Monthly Status Reports, including daily technical task reports, threat management reports, among others.

  • Support the Business Technology Disaster Recovery process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, Information Security and/or Risk Management.

  • At least 6 years of experience applying information security controls methods, processes and risk management best practices in a Global-International forum.

  • Proven experience in succesffully implementing PCI DSS framework.

  • Strong technical information security knowledge to assess various information security and risk management processes and tools.

  • Experience with Security Controls frameworks (e.g. CobIT, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, RMF, among others) and knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CPRA, CPA, etc.)

  • Able to work effectively in an environment characterized by multi-tasking, fast-paced, lead by multiple projects and conflicting priorities. Multi-level communications and interpersonal skills (including strong documentation skills). Able to effectively communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff; across IT and business.

  • Information Security Certification(s) preferred, which may include, but is not limited to: CEH, CISSP, PCI ISA, among others

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and implementation of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry to improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes among patients in real-world acute care clinical settings throughout the US. Responsible for identifying, building, cultivating, and managing key high-level partner and customer relationships in a variety of healthcare sectors to achieve program goals. Responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing participating sites, liaising with site-level quality teams including high-level clinicians and C-suite members. Responsible for managing, monitoring, and consulting on site and system-level data, promoting evidence-based metrics for national benchmarking, including those that strive for health equity. Responsible for leveraging key high-level Volunteers to develop a research infrastructure, conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science.

  • Identify and develop pipeline of prospective new and existing customers for enrollment in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. Oversee contracting process. Coordinate efforts among hospitals and hospital systems on project goals and objectives, including quality improvement and research.

  • Onboard, manage and consult participating sites on site-level and system-level evidence-based metrics, aiming to support improved clinical care and outcomes. Facilitate interoperability between originating source data to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry, when needed.

  • Identify, build, cultivate and manage key high-level partner and customer relationships to achieve program goals. Collaborate with the program's Volunteer Committee, and other high-level physicians and C-suite members from participating sites and stakeholders.

  • Stakeholders include, but are not limited to hospitals, healthcare systems, quality improvement organizations, research organizations, state health departments, and payor groups.

  • Collaborate with Project Leadership and key high-level partners to aid in developing a research infrastructure conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science. Guide sites through research proposal process and review submissions, as appropriate.

  • Communicate regularly with Project leadership to assure tasks are completed according to project timeline. Work with colleagues and external partners through ongoing meetings to report out on project deliverables.

  • Analyze, collate, and present results of trainings, education, and data to continually evaluate next steps and needs for program. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Create, update, and disseminate marketing materials when appropriate. Assist with other marketing aspects such as website maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5 to 8 years relative experience

  • Experience in healthcare or in a public health-related organization, clinical registries, clinical studies, patient registries, or quality improvement programs.

  • Experience and proven record of program development and program management of a healthcare project, including experience in influencing performance without direct line accountability

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications skills

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the Cyber Risk Management Program (CRMP). Apply quantitative risk valuation models and tooling to inform and support strategic and tactical risk-based decisions.

  • Enhance Vendor Security Assessment process by collaborating with business and technology stakeholders. Maintain security scorecards and metrics from vendors, corporate functions and affiliated offices. Communicates technical issues to diverse audiences and have knowledge and/or experience in application and infrastructure security, public cloud.

  • Review and analyzes statistics of network events and system performance to locate and recommend remediation and lead strategies for discovered vulnerabilities.

  • Assist and partner with the Affiliates on annual PCI Data Security Certification Process.

  • Support and administer the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Tool surrouding data mapping, cookie consent, privacy consent, third pary risk management and overall risk management.

  • Will be point of contact to coordinate Technical incident response. Support incident response efforts and conduct post-incident analysis to identify areas for improvement.

  • Assist project teams in the implementation of security measures to meet corporate security policies, manage risk, and meet external regulations, including various data security standards.

  • Weight business needs against security concerns and articulate issues and options to management. Research and assess new threats and security alerts and recommend remedial action.

  • Ensures of proper documentation of technology assessment results, and monitors remediation. Deliver all documentation developed during task execution, with status of all work in progress. Create Weekly and Monthly Status Reports, including daily technical task reports, threat management reports, among others.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, Information Security and/or Risk Management.

  • At least 6 years of experience applying information security controls methods, processes and risk management best practices in a Global-International forum.

  • Proven experience in succesffully implementing PCI DSS framework.

  • Strong technical information security knowledge to assess various information security and risk management processes and tools.

  • Design and follow data security best practices in data storage, transferring, sharing and reporting that is HIPAA compliant

  • Plan for Data Disposition and help develop a plan for subsequent public access. Ability to implement data de-identification techniques and tools.

  • Develop guidelines for presentation to individual research teams for Data Analytics workflow including data intake and handoff. Refine guidelines following discussion with individual project teams. Perform auditing services to ensure consistency and compliance.

  • Provide or facilitate training on use of claims and/or clinical trial data as needed through group webinars made available to all project teams.

  • Create visual and tabular (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, or statistical software such as SAS, R, Pyton or STATA) representations of data. Design customized templates featuring purpose-build statistical applications or tools to drive decision-making.

  • Maintain general awareness of importance of cardiovascular research advances through reading science literature, establishing and maintaining professional consultation contacts, attending meetings, monitoring legislation, and attending to inquiries from public and professionals.

This position will be part of our Health Care by Food (HCxF) Food Is Medicine research initiative. This multiyear initiative is conducting the research designed to provide evidence of effectiveness and cost effectiveness of Food Is Medicine interventions (such as medically tailored meals and produce prescriptions) to prevent, manage, and treat cardiovascular disease.

This is a full time, grant funded, benefits eligible opportunity. Current funding is available through 6/30/2024

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an accessible clinical trial database design by analyzing data inquiry needs, ensuring security of information and organizing layout for the best user interface and access by scientists and researchers. We would be looking for you to be able to integrate data from different sources (clinical, claims, patient-reported survey data, food vendors). The Database Designer is responsible for building and ensuring adherence to data management and data access policies, standards, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, establish, and recommend data mapping and design to standardize and harmonize large clinical datasets (including real world data) from multiple American Heart Association clinical trials, research studies and registries as well as other large external datasets.

  • Design, document and help develop user interface, data integration, definitions, and data dictionaries.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in clinical data and research, and external entities such as Amazon Web Services and EMR instances such as EPIC.

  • Assist in developing SQL database, query requirements, data management protocols; Establish customized data dashboard for large clinical datasets in AWS or other cloud-based server environment.

  • May develop and document through presentations of the overall project design for publication or scientific meetings.

  • Set up requirements on data format and labeling, meta-data generation such as code book, Case Report Forms, Surveys, EHR queries and other data project documentation process.

  • Develop and implement guidelines to manage data storage.

  • Design and follow data security best practices in data storage, transferring, sharing and reporting that is HIPAA compliant

  • Plan for Data Disposition and help develop a plan for subsequent public access. Ability to implement data de-identification techniques and tools.

  • Develop guidelines for presentation to individual research teams for Data Analytics workflow including data intake and handoff. Refine guidelines following discussion with individual project teams. Perform auditing services to ensure consistency and compliance.

  • Provide or facilitate training on use of claims and/or clinical trial data as needed through group webinars made available to all project teams.

  • Create visual and tabular (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, or statistical software such as SAS, R, Pyton or STATA) representations of data. Design customized templates featuring purpose-build statistical applications or tools to drive decision-making.

  • Maintain general awareness of importance of cardiovascular research advances through reading science literature, establishing and maintaining professional consultation contacts, attending meetings, monitoring legislation, and attending to inquiries from public and professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher - Information Technology - Database Design, Applied Math, Computational Science, Health Informatics, Economics, Statistics or related technical field or equivalent work experience. Master degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with database design, development, data mapping, statistical reporting, Electronic Health Data wrangling, Claims data analysis or related area.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with real world clinical data including claims data processing, clinical data management and regulatory requirements for use of data.

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud-based architecture and health-focused data server management/configuration; AWS or other clouds-based health data server background preferred.

  • Proficient in R, SAS, and/or Python, Jupyter Notebooks, SQL.

  • Highly effective organizational skills, communication skills, time management, responsibility, and motivation.

  • Must be able to travel overnight approx. 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

The Program Implementation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day site recruitment, site consultation, and project management of activities for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. This person will identify, build, nurture, and maintain relationships to recruit participating sites to achieve program goals. Building on established relationships with hospitals and health systems, this role will provide in-depth process and quality improvement consultation including individual site support, facilitation of educational opportunities, intervention tracking, and process mapping. This person will be responsible for assisting with sales, onboarding, customer retention, and related activities to insure excellence and attention to detail throughout the site management process. Additionally, this person will be responsible for daily operations related to meeting project deliverables.

This role will regularly collaborate closely with physician leadership, C-suite leadership, and site clinical teams, so should have experience working with these roles. Thie role also requires the individual to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision, work independently, have positive relationship cultivation skills, strong project management skills and be results-oriented.

  • Identify and develop pipeline of prospective new and existing customers for enrollment in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. Oversee contracting process. Coordinate efforts among hospitals and hospital systems on project goals and objectives, including quality improvement and research.

  • Serve as main account manager of recruited sites. Onboard, manage and consult participating sites on site-level and system-level evidence-based metrics, aiming to support improved clinical care and outcomes. Facilitate sites utilizing pilot and established interoperability between originating source data to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry, when needed.

  • Establish and conduct data monitoring activities within registry tool. This position will continually review site and registry-wide data for quality, completeness, and quality improvement-related opportunities. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Develop and deliver site and program-wide targeted education and training materials, utilizing collected insights.

  • Identify, build, cultivate and manage key high-level partner and customer relationships to achieve program goals. Collaborate with the program's Volunteer Committee, and other high-level physicians and C-suite members from participating sites and stakeholders. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to hospitals, healthcare systems, quality improvement organizations, research organizations, state health departments, and payor groups.

  • Communicate regularly with Project leadership to assure tasks are completed according to project timeline. Work with colleagues and external partners through ongoing meetings to report out on project deliverables.

  • Support project leadership in developing research infrastructure conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science. Guide sites through research proposal process and review submissions, as appropriate.

  • Analyze, collate, and present results of trainings, education, and data to continually evaluate next steps and needs for program. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.

  • Create, update, and disseminate marketing materials when appropriate. Assist with other marketing aspects such as website maintenance.
