The American Heart Association is looking for a Digital Developer to be a founding member of a new development team that will lead the core platform that drives the American Heart Association fundraising efforts in schools. This new platform will be developed using technologies such as Azure, PostgreSQL, TypeORM, NestJS, & React. Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, support, & document new features as needed by our customers
Write clean, easy to understand, and robust code
Own one or more components of the overall solution and be the go-to resource for any issues with it
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, triaging, & guidance to internal teams
Collaborate with the internal Business Management team to understand customer goals and translate them into architectural & application requirements
Work with Operations & Senior Management to reduce operational costs & complexity, while increasing performance & scalability
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 1-3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate in the job offered or a related field
1-3 years of experience with application or backend development using C#, C++, or Java, and be open to using C#
1+ years of experience in relational database development & SQL
1+ years of experience with modern project management methodologies, e.g. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, etc.
1+ years of experience with web services standards and related technologies (e.g. HTTP, XML, REST, etc.)

We are currently hiring a Development Director in Milwaukee . The Director will generate revenue for our Go Red for Women fundraising campaign. This campaign includes our signature Go Red for Women Luncheon event.
This position offers a hybrid schedule.
We have a fast-paced sales type of environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

Responsibilities
Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations. Achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors by conducting research that matches to the campaign goals and the Association's mission.
Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
Recruit and be responsible for executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day-of-the-event volunteers.
Coordinate the event auction including leading a committee of volunteers to solicit auction items and prepare packages that will raise funds.
Lead and engage new individual membership for our Cor Vitae giving society, in partnership with other appropriate fundraising staff. Includes planning and implementing regular engagement events for members.
Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.
Qualifications
3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience
Ability to do daily local travel up to 75%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis
Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving
Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office

University/College degree or equivalent experience, preferred
Experience managing and cultivating high-level leaders at the C-Suite level

Responsibilities
Guide and lead team to achieve event and campaign revenue goals. Accountable for hiring, directing, training, evaluating, and terminating staff under their supervision.
Develop, monitor, and evaluate an annual working plan with dollar and volunteer recruitment goals, budget, and timelines for the events. Develop contingency plans, as needed to successfully complete fundraising activities.
Develop profiles on the top businesses within the assigned geographic area with a detailed plan to secure their involvement. Complete company goal setting worksheets and prioritize companies by their potential.
Develop and lead volunteer Board of Directors, consisting of top-level corporate executives.
Build, monitor, and evaluate an annual working plan with dollar and volunteer recruitment goals, budget, and timelines for the events.
Develop profiles on the top businesses within the assigned market areas and build relationships with key corporate leaders who can support initiatives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, support, & document new features as needed by our customers
Write clean, easy to understand, and robust code
Own one or more components of the overall solution and be the go-to resource for any issues with it
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, triaging, & guidance to internal teams
Collaborate with the internal Business Management team to understand customer goals and translate them into architectural & application requirements
Work with Operations & Senior Management to reduce operational costs & complexity, while increasing performance & scalability
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 1-3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate in the job offered or a related field
1-3 years of experience with application or backend development using C#, C++, or Java, and be open to using C#
1+ years of experience in relational database development & SQL
1+ years of experience with modern project management methodologies, e.g. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, etc.
1+ years of experience with web services standards and related technologies (e.g. HTTP, XML, REST, etc.)
