The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Program Manager, Health Care, Quality Measures based out of our National Center office. This position can be home based.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on June 30, 2028, with the possibility of extension.
This individual will be responsible for providing administrative, analytic and technical support for development, specification, maintenance, harmonization, and endorsement of measures used in the organizations suite of quality programs: including Get With The Guidelines: Stroke, Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation, Resuscitation and Coronary Artery Disease; ambulatory quality initiatives, special disease-focused initiatives (such as: aortic stenosis, cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic health, cardiogenic shock), certification programs, and EMS Mission: Lifeline. Responsible for supporting advanced data analytics related to measures, including preparing reports, conducting feasibility, reliability, and validity testing, as well as developing and maintaining standardized documentation for program measures.

Responsibilities
In collaboration with volunteers and staff (measures, research, and Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) staff) operationalizes quality measure concepts and evidence into detailed measure specifications for implementation in the organization's quality programs.
Contribute to the design, development, and testing of clinical quality measures.
Provide strategic and technical expertise related to digital quality measures.
Analyzes existing program measures to identify potentially unnecessary variance and gaps in measures.
Assists in monitoring relevant national programs such as the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS): Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and, Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program (HIQR); as well as The Joint Commission; Million Hearts; etc. for changes that may impact measures or programs.
Coordinates with other staff to communicate changes in national programs and impact to volunteer workgroups and other staff members.
Creates ad-hoc data reports and visualizations using raw data sets.
Conducts feasibility, reliability, and validity testing of measures to support endorsement efforts and potential inclusion in payment programs.
Creates and maintains standardized documentation for measures used in the organization's quality programs. Monitors and maintains documentation of the organizations registry programs and measures information in national programs, databases, and clearinghouses.
Provides project management support and subject matter expertise for the submission of American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Stoke Associate (ASA) measures to the National Quality Forum (NQF) for endorsement consideration or maintenance of endorsement
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
At least five (5) years of relevant experience
Experience with clinical performance measure development, testing, implementation and/or endorsement
Familiarity with the broader healthcare quality measurement environment and related organizations
Detail oriented with data analysis experience
Excellent writing skills
Ability to orally present information
Ability to work independently
Ability to travel 15% local and overnight stay
Preferred Skills:
Health IT related knowledge/skills such as electronic medical records, medical coding and/or standard nomenclatures, such as SNOMED, ICDCM, CPT, LOINC and RXNORM
Advanced skills in data analysis, including the ability to lead measure testing (reliability and validity) projects using
Familiarity with the Partnership for Quality Measurement (PQM) measure submission and the endorsement process
Experience working with committees and volunteers - Represent quality measure development research teams in areas of expertise on calls with measure stewards and other stakeholders; ensure clear documentation and communication of action items for the broader team and tracking to completion
Clearly communicate with external stakeholders, volunteers, and team members orally and in writing and represent the organization in a professional manner.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment to design, analyze, and report on projects
Ability to mentor/teach measure authoring and testing skills and the quality measurement lifecycle
Ability to identify risks to projects and timelines.
Effective time management skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when writing.

This service position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable professional public health experience while advancing more equitable health outcomes for your community.
We are seeking full-time and part-time service members to serve up to 11 months startingNovember 4, 2024,to serve at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Concho Valley in San Angelo, TX.
Responsibilities
What you will do includes:
Typically serve full-time Monday - Friday (41.25 hours per week). Some placements may include occasional evening or weekend hours. Part-time opportunities may be available at 25 hours per week.
Deliver health education and support patients/community members in navigating the care, community programs and resources on heart health related topics including cardiovascular disease, smoking cessation, nutrition, blood pressure, and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
Assist with public health surveys. This may include recruiting participants, administering the survey in-person or via phone, tracking data, and/or running reports.
Plan and conduct local health skill building workshops, health fairs, town halls or community conversations - to raise awareness and help community members manage their health.
Support patients and community members in initiating and conducting Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring.
Host Hands-Only CPR demonstrations for community members.
Engage local organizations to help identify and develop resources to support families in accessing chronic disease interventions and/or overall health and wellbeing services.
Actively participate in AmeriCorps pre-service orientation, HeartCorps member development meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.
Experience as health aide or have coursework in public health, health communications, health promotion, or health sciences helpful but not required.

Proactively ensures timely communication with internal and external partners and customers, supporting collaboration in account management and activities to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications
Two (2) years or more of relevant work experience that includes:
Experience working with multiple databases, including entering, managing and reporting on data accurately and timely.
Solution oriented approach with the demonstrated ability to proactively anticipate needs, offer solutions and act quickly with a clear sense of ownership.
Ability to organize, plan, and execute corporate events.
Effective oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.

Responsibilities
What you will do includes:
Typically serve full-time Monday - Friday (41.25 hours per week). Some placements may include occasional evening or weekend hours. Part-time opportunities may be available at 25 hours per week.
Deliver health education and support patients/community members in navigating the care, community programs and resources on heart health related topics including cardiovascular disease, smoking cessation, nutrition, blood pressure, and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
Assist with public health surveys. This may include recruiting participants, administering the survey in-person or via phone, tracking data, and/or running reports.
Plan and conduct local health skill building workshops, health fairs, town halls or community conversations - to raise awareness and help community members manage their health.
Support patients and community members in initiating and conducting Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring.
Host Hands-Only CPR demonstrations for community members.
Engage local organizations to help identify and develop resources to support families in accessing chronic disease interventions and/or overall health and wellbeing services.
Actively participate in AmeriCorps pre-service orientation, HeartCorps member development meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.

Responsibilities
Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations. Achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors by conducting research that matches to the campaign goals and the Association's mission.
Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
Recruit and be responsible for executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day-of-the-event volunteers. Coordinate the event auction including leading a committee of volunteers to solicit auction items and prepare packages that will raise funds.
Lead and engage new individual membership for our Cor Vitae giving society, in partnership with other appropriate fundraising staff. Includes planning and implementing regular engagement events for members.
Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.
Qualifications
3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience
Ability to do daily local travel up to [Enter Number]%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis
Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher - Information Technology - Database Design, Applied Math, Computational Science, Health Informatics, Economics, Statistics or related technical field or equivalent work experience. Master degree is preferred.

Responsibilities
The Program Implementation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day site recruitment, site consultation, and project management of activities for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry. This person will identify, build, nurture, and maintain relationships to recruit participating sites to achieve program goals. Responsibilities
Active participation in developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the Cyber Risk Management Program (CRMP). Apply quantitative risk valuation models and tooling to inform and support strategic and tactical risk-based decisions.

Weight business needs against security concerns and articulate issues and options to management. Research and assess new threats and security alerts and recommend remedial action.

Qualifications

Manage the processes for recruitment, application, and selection of Youth Council members
Serve as a liaison to region/local market/national leaders across the Association to build awareness, facilitate recruitment processes, select and offer ongoing support to Youth Council members
Establish and maintain strong positive developmentally appropriate relationships with youth and young adults so that they can successfully serve on the Youth Council.
Coordinate and facilitate virtual and in-person activities related to the Youth Council.
Work closely with other key stakeholders in the high school and college space including Portfolio Leads working with HBCUs, HSIs, School Engagement, organizational alliances and University Relations and Recruitment Director etc. to lead Youth Council members in the design and development of service-learning projects and opportunities with clear goals and system for measuring impact.
Lead Youth Council members in the design and development of a formalized recognition process for youth volunteers. Work with local, region and national stakeholders.
Assist in designing and implementing listening sessions and other events that elevate the voices of youth volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
Work with Youth Council members to advise on social media engagement strategies.
Provide support on community collaboration opportunities.
Prepare fact sheets, overviews and other documents that inform stakeholders of the purpose and activities of the Youth Council
TRACKING AND REPORTING
Compile summary information on progress, provides briefings and other updates to team members and stakeholders across the network
Maintain up-to-date and accurate program notes, records and related information about Youth Council applicants and membership, including representation - demographics, geographic, agency size, program experiences etc.
Work in partnership with the data and insights group and others in the to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the Youth Council, High School and College Heart Clubs and related youth voice efforts with KPIs.
Track Heart Club inquiries, applications, registrations and rosters
Capture CRM information and manage reporting to the field
OPERATIONS
Reply to inquiries from high school and college students to effectively match interests with the best engagement opportunity
Develop training and webinar experiences for Heart Club students and advisors, national kick offs, orientations, virtual recognition ceremonies etc.
Work with team to develop Heart Club back to school kits and merchandise, graduation cords, and licensed vendors addressing legal and brand team needs
Develop and implement year end survey, share key learnings to drive year to year improvements
Gather best practices
Develop SOPs, best practices and keep year-round internal calendar, ensuring key stakeholders involved
Manage background checks/youth protection training if needed, as off campus events would be considered Association events
Manages related and other duties as assigned in support of department and business needs
EVENTS
Serve as the primary point of contact for Youth Council members as they participate in activation events, speaking engagements, fundraising, advocacy or other Association events to ensure that they have appropriate information in advance, support for logistics and preparation for their roles.
Coordinate and manage relationships other departments especially Communications and Development teams with relation to engaging Youth Council members as influencers, thought leaders and alongside the CEO and Association National/Region Boards and Emerging Leaders Council.
YOUTH VOICE ACTIVITIES
Design and organize panel discussions that elevate youth voice across the Association, incorporate youth as panelists where appropriate in thought leadership opportunities, and build awareness of the needs, concerns and aspirations of youth and young adults
Attend and support internal and external convenings, learning circles and other partnership events that increase awareness of and build capacity to incorporate youth voice.
Manages related and other duties as assigned in support of department and business needs
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Four (4) years of relevant volunteerism experience ( Preferred area: High school and/or college student focused )
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience and/or training in project management, youth development programs, youth leadership, or youth social-emotional development, or related areas
Two (2) to five (5) years of the following experience:
Experience managing programs that empower youth and young adults as co-designers and advocates.
Experience with managing and facilitating youth-led experiences (webinars, listening sessions processes, etc.) and maintaining alignment with organizational priorities and deadlines.
Consistent record in managing through complex issues with various stakeholders to desired outcome.
Ability to be solutions-focused and proactive in managing complex projects and sensitive stakeholder relationships.
Demonstrates initiative, creativity and innovation.
Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to develop trusting relationships in a remote environment.
Highly organized in approach, with ability to set and manage priorities.
Strong proficiency in desktop software, including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google docs, and Canva.
Ability to work independently and remotely in achieving results consistently on deadline.
Excellent team working skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Experience integrating CRM and Marketing Cloud data within a complex multi-vendor environment.
Experience managing key 3rd party technological strategic partnerships.
Experience with leading industry platforms with an emphasis on Salesforce.
Strong knowledge and expertise with data strategies, architecture, solutions, management, and governance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with offshore development centers, and digital accessibility compliance.

We are currently hiring a Development Director in the Buffalo NY area for our prestigious Go Red For Women and Cycle Nation campaigns. These campaigns include the Go Red For Women social event and the Cycle Nation event. Responsibilities
The Director will be held accountable to an overall bold fundraising goal. Carries out high quality events in accordance with Association standards and in collaboration with the team. This is a full-time, benefits and incentive eligible position. While this is a home-office based position, you will be in the field frequently throughout the day.
Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations. Achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors by conducting research that matches the campaign goals and the Association's mission.
Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
Recruit and be responsible for executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day-of-the-event volunteers.
Coordinate the event auction including leading a committee of volunteers to solicit auction items and prepare packages that will raise funds.
Lead and engage new individual membership for our Cor Vitae giving society, in partnership with other appropriate fundraising staff. Includes planning and implementing regular engagement events for members.
Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.
Qualifications

Assist with public health surveys. This may include recruiting participants, administering the survey in-person or via phone, tracking data, and/or running reports.
Plan and conduct local health skill building workshops, health fairs, town halls or community conversations - to raise awareness and help community members manage their health.
Support patients and community members in initiating and conducting Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring.
Host Hands-Only CPR demonstrations for community members.
Engage local organizations to help identify and develop resources to support families in accessing chronic disease interventions and/or overall health and wellbeing services.
Actively participate in AmeriCorps pre-service orientation, HeartCorps member development meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.

Overview
What is HeartCorps:
HeartCorps is an initiative with Public Health AmeriCorps and the American Heart Association created todrive health equity in rural communities. This service position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable professional public health experience while advancing more equitable health outcomes for your community.
We are seeking a full-time and part-time service members to serve up to 11 months startingNovember 4, 2024,to serve at the Whitley County Health Department in Columbia City, IN.
Responsibilities
What you will do includes:
Typically serve full-time Monday - Friday (41.25 hours per week). Some placements may include occasional evening or weekend hours. Part-time opportunities may be available at 25 hours per week.
Deliver health education and support patients/community members in navigating the care, community programs and resources on heart health related topics including cardiovascular disease, smoking cessation, nutrition, blood pressure, and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
Assist with public health surveys. This may include recruiting participants, administering the survey in-person or via phone, tracking data, and/or running reports.
Plan and conduct local health skill building workshops, health fairs, town halls or community conversations - to raise awareness and help community members manage their health.
Support patients and community members in initiating and conducting Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring.
Host Hands-Only CPR demonstrations for community members.
Engage local organizations to help identify and develop resources to support families in accessing chronic disease interventions and/or overall health and wellbeing services.
Actively participate in AmeriCorps pre-service orientation, HeartCorps member development meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.
Experience as health aide or have coursework in public health, health communications, health promotion, or health sciences helpful but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Benefits of HeartCorps Service include:
Bi-weekly living stipend of $1108.70 (taxable) for full-time service members. The stipend is pro-rated for part-time members.
