We are seeking an entry level scientist or engineer to join our team in support of our Research Laboratory Support (RLS) contract with the U.S. EPA located in Research Triangle Park, NC. Responsibilities may include:
Performing duties as assigned in conjunction with project leaders.
Contributing on a variety of research tasks. Examples include:
Operation and evaluation of air quality measurement technologies in laboratory and field environments.
Operation and evaluation of in-room and in-duct air cleaners in the aerosol test facility.
Design and test of novel aerosol sampling equipment.
Laboratory and field evaluation of bioaerosol detection and identification instruments.
Helping process large data sets using available software packages including R, Python and Excel.
- Originating and/or revising standard operating procedures, quality assurance plans, and work plans as related to research tasks.
- Reviewing data to ensure compliance with project data quality goals and to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Maintaining hard-copy and/or electronic records of measurement results and reporting in accordance with our and the EPA records management protocols.
- Performing laboratory work in accordance with the company's established and EPA safety and quality assurance protocols.

The entire section leverages SAFe agile and works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization tools. The section works closely with the entire enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed the needs of the mission.
The Business Systems Analyst is a part of a team that will lead large scale data analysis projects to designs and delivers on premises and cloud-based applications.
The Business Systems Analyst will lead collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization through concept development, and user story writing to support development and deployment. The BA will facilitate the gathering of business focused requirements to support a product team and product owner in defining the backlog and ensuring the users' perspective is considered.

We are seeking a technician to join our Fabrication and Calibration team in support of our Research Laboratory Support (RLS) contract with the U.S. EPA Center for Environmental Measurement & Modeling (CEMM) - Air Methods & Characterization Division (AMCD) located in Research Triangle Park, NC. The ideal candidate will have professional skills and specialized training in a technical field that will be used for and will lead to considerable amount of independent, self-managed work.
Responsibilities include:
- Collect calibration data by prescribed EPA standard operating procedures.
- Calibrate sensors that measure flow rate, pressure, temperature, relative humidity, and air velocity. May also calibrate balances, weight sets, pipettes, and gas emission monitors.
- Reduce, analyze, and interpret calibration data using statistical tools in MS Excel.
- Maintain laboratory standards, laboratory systems that support calibration, and reference materials.
- Contribute to procedure, technique, and process improvement.
- Maintain electronic records of measurement results and reports in accordance with CMS and EPA records management protocols.

Primary duties for the Combustion Devices engineer would include:
Gather data and assemble for assessment of changes and issues with hardware and test data.

Mission Statement
We provide field, range, testing, chemical, and biological laboratory support to the U.S. Army at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC) located at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), UT. As a major test site for the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, the WDTC is responsible for the test and evaluation of chemical and biological (CB) defense systems, incendiary and smoke/obscuration munitions systems, and related operational concepts.
In addition to these responsibilities, we also support non-CB testing at the WDTC for the DOD and other Federal agencies, including environmental assessment/impact evaluation and munitions demilitarization.

Must have 6 years of MOS operational experience as a 35F ,350F, 350B, 35D (or an equivalent specialty in another branch of service or other U.S. Government agency) conducting tactical all source intelligence operations in support of authorized intelligence activities as defined by AR 381-10 within the last ten years.
Must have received an Honorable discharge from military service.
Must have completed a military leadership course (i.e. ALC, SLC, WOBC, WOAC, MIOBC, or MICCC).

Engineer will be cross-functional and expected to support all functions of the operation, including:

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required skills needed for this position include:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar
Vehicle mechanic: this position requires that the individual work on vehicle chassis set-up for wind tunnel testing, change tires, change shocks/struts, and install / remove any component on a vehicle. Individual must also have a thorough understanding of vehicle suspension, hydraulic systems, motors, mechanical screw devices, bearings and rotating equipment. Position requires precision level work with understanding of assemblies, mechanical fit and torque requirements.
Fabrication: individual must have a good working knowledge of machine shop tools for building / assembling fixtures / components. (tools include lathe, mill, brake, shear, drill press and band-saw)
Maintenance: individual will support mechanical and / or electrical / instrumentation maintenance activities
Test Operations Controls and Data Acquisition: individual shall have working knowledge of instrumentation / controls / data acquisition enough to support wind tunnel operation and programming of test sequences (Lab View experience or equivalent is a plus).
Computer: proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and file system management is mandatory (additional capabilities in database programing and computer networking is a plus)

Mission Statement
Provides field, range, testing, chemical, and biological laboratory support to the U.S. Army at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC) located at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), UT. As a major test site for the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, the WDTC is responsible for the test and evaluation of chemical and biological (CB) defense systems, incendiary and smoke/obscuration munitions systems, and related operational concepts.
In addition to these responsibilities, we also support non-CB testing at the WDTC for the DOD and other Federal agencies, including environmental assessment/impact evaluation and munitions demilitarization.
Our Dugway Operation was established in 2004 with the award of the Field, Range, Chamber, and Laboratory Support Services (FRC&LSS) contract. Through the FRC&LSS contract, we have integrated with Mellor Engineering, TOPE, and JRAD with a composite staff size of more than 170 personnel.
Job Description
Mellor is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the Dugway Proving Ground (DPG) contract.
Successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Cleaning and preparing test sites, loading and delivering materials using a variety of tools and machines, such as forklifts, power drills, grinder, saws, pressure washers, scissor lifts, skid steers, UTV and referee equipment.
Assist in receipt inspections test fixture setup and removal.
Be able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
Show expertise in working with a team and independently.
Be able to maintain a medical surveillance.
Manage positive customer and employee relations.
Work all shifts flexibly when job demands.
A valid driver's license is required.
Safety awareness and have a thorough understanding of Dugway Team Safety Program' i.e. Safe Plan of Action (SPA), Safety observation Reports (SOR), and other required guidelines.
Education and Experience:
At least three (3) years of experience in calibration, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical test equipment to include dissemination.
Desired to have experience with vibration systems and with cryogenic liquids, high-pressure liquids, and oxygen displacing vapors (CO2 and N2).
Experience using various instrumentation such as temperature, relative humidity, air velocity, pH, conductivity, and particulate concentration.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
