Your Impact:

We are seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) 2 for a prime contract that is based out of our Columbia, MD office.

Responsibilities:

- Provide management support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's Information Assurance program.

- Provide management support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing Information System Security policies, standards, and methodologies.

- Manage operational security posture for an Information System or program to ensure Information System Security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.

- Provide management of security aspects of the Information System and perform day-to-day security operations of the system.

- Assist ISSEs and ISSOs with evaluating security 1solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.

- Manage the performance of vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support security authorization. Provide management support to configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.

- Manage changes to systems and assess the security impact of those changes.

- Manage the process and preparation of documentation reviews to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements

- Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). Support security authorization activities in compliance with NSA/CSS Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).

- Interact with customers, IT staff, and high-level corporate officers to define and achieve required Cybersecurity objectives

- Serve as the Program's ISSM

- Enable the Government with the development and implementation of NSA IT security services

Job Description

We provide warning and all-source analytical support to DIA's Defense Combating Terrorism Office to drive DoD policy, planning, and operational decisions to counter regional and transnational terrorism threats. We conduct mission-critical counterterrorism analysis focused on operational and strategic effects against emerging terrorist threat networks and identities operating globally with intent to harm U.S. persons, facilities, and interests. Our work includes delivering national watchlisting support to the TIDE database, providing expert assessments for the Pentagon/Joint Staff, and 24/7/365 support to DoD and senior policy decision makers, as well as international and interagency partners, on predictive threat assessments regarding transnational and regional terrorist threats. Our analysts also support the Congressionally-mandated Prisoner of War/Missing in Action cell with analysis, collection, and 24/7 support to the U.S. government for global hostage threats or events against U.S. citizens.

Responsibilities:

  • Systematically and deliberately reviews DoD datasets assessed as likely to contain identifying information for known or suspected terrorists.

  • Identity, prioritize, and record information from known DoD datasets related to known or suspected terrorists as specified by the Government.

  • Crosscheck/research known or suspected terrorists against other intelligence holdings to ensure completeness of information and to avoid duplicating data entries.

  • Compile information into a nomination report format as specified by the Government. Correctly format, classify, and address reports. Ensure information contained within reports is intelligible, cogent, comprehensive, and understandable, and that all reports use proper grammar and spelling.

  • Meet Terrorist Identity Nomination (TIN) production schedule.

  • Correct and resubmit incorrect reports and prepare reports for dissemination as record message traffic or other dissemination methods as specified by the Government.

  • Provide guidance and instruction for less experienced team members assigned to Watchlisting.

  • Demonstrate general knowledge and understanding of IC organizations associated with CT operations, analysis, products, and information systems.

  • Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, intelligence exchanges, roundtables, working groups, and other types of analytic exchanges in support or DIA's Watchlisting mission.

  • Possess general information systems experience working with select DoD datasets and intelligence reporting activities: demonstrate comprehensive mission knowledge in order to provide guidance related to National Terrorist Watchlisting policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of terrorist organizations, to include group names and geographic location, leadership, activities, and ideology.

Watchlist Analyst - Performs all-source intelligence analysis of DoD datasets to identify and nominate known or suspected terrorists into the National Terrorist Watchlisting system. With abilities usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship program and on-the-job experience. General duties include: installs, services, and repairs of electrical equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Replaces defective circuit breakers, switches, fuses, and other electrical wiring devices. Applies knowledge of electrical theory in analyzing and troubleshooting of electrical systems or equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, motors, motor controllers, circuit breakers, and conduit systems. Follows blueprints, drawings, or other relevant engineering specifications. Uses a variety of electrician's hand tools and testing and measurement instruments. Installs conduit using threading, cutting and bending equipment and tools. May perform other related duties as assigned.

Strongly Preferred - AMMO-29 Certification (Electrical Explosive Safety for Naval Facilities)

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Must possess at least one of the following:

  • Certification from an accredited technical school's Electrical Maintenance level 2 program

  • Completion of an approved/certified apprenticeship program with a minimum of (3) years working in the industrial electrical field

  • Minimum of two (2) years verfiable experience as journey-level Electrician in the field of commercial and industrial plant electrical maintenance working with systems of 600 VAC and below.

Exercise Planner-Journeyman

This is a business development position in support of INDOPACOM and is contingent upon award.

Designs, executes, and delivers analytic tasks associated with exercises to include identifying and shaping objectives, develop exercise constructs, author scenarios, facilitate participant discussions and author after action reports and briefings. Applies expertise and experience with the warfighting functions, multidomain operations, COA analysis, strategy development, and organizational processes/procedures to design exercises that enable participants to test assumptions in a minimal-risk environment. Facilitates and/or assists Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) planning events and products.

JOURNEYMAN: A Journeyman labor category has 3 to 10 years of experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree. A Journeyman labor category typically performs all functional duties independently.

Physical Requirements of Position: Position will require heavy use of computing systems, PC or laptop. Phone use, Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position requires typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May require climbing, working at heights and in small spaces. Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel or crouch for long periods of time. Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperature than standard office environmental conditions. Lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. May require travel to other sites.

Work Environment: Generally an office. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Limited travel will be required, up to 10% of the time.

Equipment and Machines: Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, and other equipment including desk supplies and other work-related tools as required.

Attendance: Regular hours will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Must have clear, concise, and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $89,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Must provide performance-oriented training using the TRADOC-approved Program of Instruction (POI). The full spectrum of training includes but is not limited to: classroom (platform and group) training; hands-on/practical exercise training; role playing; simulation/virtual training; and field exercise training. Training may be for resident and non-resident training courses and in support of mobile training.

Shall also participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans and Training Support Packages (TSPs) to remedy any deficiencies or shortcomings identified during the preparation for and conduct of instruction. Conduct of instruction shall also be in support of specialized training requirements or the training of new systems.

REQUIRED:

  • Must have 6 years of MOS operational experience as a Cryptologic Linguist (US Army MOS 35P / US Air Force AFSC 1N3/1A8, or US Marine Corps equivalent specialty) in support of authorized intelligence activities as defined by AR 381-10 within the last 10 years.

Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Attendance: Regular hours will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Other Essential Functions: Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, and co-workers. Must have clear, concise, and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion. Must take and pass a drug test and background check. The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $82,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Preferred:

  • RPM development, deployment, and upgrade experience
