The entire section leverages SAFe agile and works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization tools. The section works closely with the entire enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed the needs of the mission.
The Database Developer (Mid) is a part of a team that will support large scale data analysis projects to designs and delivers on premises and cloud-based applications.
The Database Developer (Mid) is responsible for SQL and PL/SQL development to include: developing the backend reports to support user needs; developing custom scripts to automate various database management processes, monitoring and troubleshooting database performance; developing, optimizing, and tuning stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries in support of application development; interfacing with customers, users, and developers as needed; maintaining the database schema, database design, and transition development activities; providing technical subject matter expertise (SME) on ingesting into the database from sources such as file systems, and perform maintenance.

We provide warning and all-source analytical support to DIA's Defense Combating Terrorism Office to drive DoD policy, planning, and operational decisions to counter regional and transnational terrorism threats. We conduct mission-critical counterterrorism analysis focused on operational and strategic effects against emerging terrorist threat networks and identities operating globally with intent to harm U.S. persons, facilities, and interests. Our work includes delivering national watchlisting support to the TIDE database, providing expert assessments for the Pentagon/Joint Staff, and 24/7/365 support to DoD and senior policy decision makers, as well as international and interagency partners, on predictive threat assessments regarding transnational and regional terrorist threats. Our analysts also support the Congressionally-mandated Prisoner of War/Missing in Action cell with analysis, collection, and 24/7 support to the U.S. government for global hostage threats or events against U.S. citizens.
Responsibilities:
Systematically and deliberately reviews DoD datasets assessed as likely to contain identifying information for known or suspected terrorists.
Identity, prioritize, and record information from known DoD datasets related to known or suspected terrorists as specified by the Government.
Crosscheck/research known or suspected terrorists against other intelligence holdings to ensure completeness of information and to avoid duplicating data entries.
Compile information into a nomination report format as specified by the Government. Correctly format, classify, and address reports. Ensure information contained within reports is intelligible, cogent, comprehensive, and understandable, and that all reports use proper grammar and spelling.
Meet Terrorist Identity Nomination (TIN) production schedule.
Correct and resubmit incorrect reports and prepare reports for dissemination as record message traffic or other dissemination methods as specified by the Government.
Provide guidance and instruction for less experienced team members assigned to Watchlisting.
Demonstrate general knowledge and understanding of IC organizations associated with CT operations, analysis, products, and information systems.
Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, intelligence exchanges, roundtables, working groups, and other types of analytic exchanges in support or DIA's Watchlisting mission.
Possess general information systems experience working with select DoD datasets and intelligence reporting activities: demonstrate comprehensive mission knowledge in order to provide guidance related to National Terrorist Watchlisting policies and procedures.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of terrorist organizations, to include group names and geographic location, leadership, activities, and ideology.

Watchlist Analyst - Performs all-source intelligence analysis of DoD datasets to identify and nominate known or suspected terrorists into the National Terrorist Watchlisting system. You will help model the descent of the landing of the Human Lander System (HLS) for NASA's HLS navigation team. From radar modelling and visualization to descent dynamics, this position will require a well-rounded background of radar modelling skills, experience with computer programming, and the desire to perform high fidelity analyses to help prevent damage and destruction of the involved HLS systems. This exciting work will serve as a critical step in sending humans back to the Moon, Mars and beyond!

Primary responsibility will entail radar modeling and provide landing radar performance analysis of HLS descent trajectories to the surface of the Moon, and will incorporate all relevant models, including surface topology , and rocket plume and regolith plume induced dust degradation effects during landing to specific landing sites. Additionally, you will be asked to perform trade studies to assess navigation performance under dispersed radar model parameters to assess uncertainty of unknown model parameters, and evaluates navigation margins for Space X, Blue Origin, and government Design Reference Missions. Develop in-house radar models and/or integrate radar sensor models from providers into 6-DOF simulations such as the GeneraLized Aerospace Simulation in Simulink (GLASS) tool. Tasking may also include use or development of visualization tools of landing sites to aid radar navigation analysis. Programming skills and mentoring abilities are highly desired.
Job Functions:
Perform large scale simulations by taking a large computational task, breaking it down into discrete parts, and distributing those parts across different computers to be processed simultaneously using BATH or SHELL

Execute/modify existing software/scripts in Python, Matlab, Fortran, C++ Generate requirement specifications for separation systems
Creating, editing and debugging software written in Python, Matlab, Fortran, and C/C++.
Optimization and improvement of analysis tools and GN&C models.
Preparing and Presenting technical reports and briefings.
Qualifications:
A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field is required. Degree from an ABET-accredited university is preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D. with a minimum 4 years of experience; Masters with at least 8 years of experience, or a BS with at least 10 years of experience.
