About the role
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What you'll do
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What you'll need
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive approach

About the role
What you'll do
Aligns with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.
Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes' maintenance and repair records as required.
Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks.
Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
What you'll need
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.
Universal CFC certification preferred.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

As a CBRE Security Manager, you will lead all aspects of the team responsible for the security operations at a HQ Research & Development property.

What you'll need
Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Business Management or equivalent education or experience.
5+ years of progressive experience leading security operations.
Knowledge of operational security delivery, including technical experience with access control and video surveillance technologies.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals regarding physical security.
Experience in vendor contract management and budget negotiations, as well as possessing a well-established network within the security profession.
Ability to exercise strong leadership during incident response.
Skilled in developing metrics and in conducting security related trend analysis.
Change management experience in a Research & Development and/or GxP environments or other regulated industry, nice to have.
Have or be in process of acquiring ASIS certification such as CPP, PSP, PCI, APP, or other physical security certifications such as CPTED, nice to have.

JOB SUMMARY
This role oversees the operations and development of a team of Critical Environment engineers onsite, ensuring they provide both Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Repair Services to the Client & their customers onsite (within agreed Service Level Agreement.) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage unforeseen circumstances that occur and provide relevant feedback to Client / CBRE management where necessary.
Mentor & motivate the Critical Environment team, providing them with regular feedback to ensure they continually improve. Identify areas for training where necessary.
Overall responsibility for Configuration Management (CM)MS Work Orders, Preventative Maintenance (PM), Configuration Management (CM), or Repairs within the agreed SLA timeframe, or escalate if issues cannot be resolved promptly.
Overall responsibility to ensure the completion of:
- Facility infrastructure equipment installations within the agreed SLA timeframe and to applicable internal, manufacture and industry standards.
- Information Technology equipment power installations, relocation and decommission requests within the agreed SLA timeframes and to applicable internal, manufacture and industry standards.
- Daily routine checks and cleanup of the data halls and record their findings.
- Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting support (chiller, Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), Computer Room Air Handler (CRAH), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Power Distribution Unit (PDU), Static Transfer Switches (STS), etc.)
Ensure all deployments are installed to applicable internal, manufacture and industry standards.
Ensure that all records are updated following any changes made and that documentation is also kept up to date for all applicable processes.
Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks, providing safe working practices at all times.
Overall responsibility to manage relationship with Client, working with other CBRE stakeholders to ensure all MSA requirements are met.

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.
