What you will do - Essential responsibilities
Fleet Drivers load, transport, and off-load CarMax vehicles at various locations to ensure the right vehicle is in the right place at the right time for our CarMax teams and customers

General Summary:
At CarMax, all new managers complete a structured training program to ensure they are fully prepared to succeed in their new role. The Technician Production Manager in Training is a temporary role designed to give a newly hired external manager the tools they need to assume the role of Technician Production Manager. All Technician Production Managers in Training must successfully complete the training program before taking on the role of Technician Production Manager.
Training includes learning the following TPM principle duties and responsibilities:
Ensures that all positions are properly staffed at all times
Controls the flow of vehicles through the reconditioning process by proper distribution of CQI/VQI starts, parts return cars, and recheck vehicles
Achieves daily and weekly production targets in mechanical work zone
Maintains Tech billed hours per CQI/VQI at or below CarMax standards
Oversees the Big Approval Process for mechanical inspection and manages vehicle priority through the use of the ERO system
Partners with other functional areas and managers as needed to collaborate on questions regarding vehicle quality and potential kicks
Participates and ensure compliance of all CarMax training and process initiatives
Performs all Asset Protection and EH&S responsibilities expected in the role
Ensures positive associate engagement through consistent use of the Associate Care and Communication (AC&C) tools, such as round tables, one-on-ones, and Compass Engagement Meetings
Manages associate at the individual level by using Managing to the Individual (MTI) and through the consistent use of the performance management tools to include performing consistent feedback, observations, file reviews, IDPS, APRs, and performance management
Drives team and store performance by maintaining comeback standards and QPI goals at or below company targets
Drives team and store performance in maintaining all department metric goals

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities
Participates in all Agile ceremonies for Team
Plans and executes tests to cover functional, integration, compatibility and regression needs and reports back findings to the Team
Helps lead test automation effort, advocating for automation and contributes to framework design and suggests process improvements
Reviews automated test runs, reports out on automated test execution and coverage statuses, and maintains broken automated tests
Works with various areas of the business, grasp their processes and learn how they work together
Understands complex problems, develops solutions and can communicate to both people inside and outside of their team
Uses and modifies existing libraries / tools for automation testing
Creates test strategies and plans for team and assists other teams when needed
Identifies new tools or processes for adoption
Writes general documentation regarding QE processes and tools
Develops key quality metrics and reports to stakeholders in the organization
Purpose of the role
The Senior Quality Engineer is an essential role in the software development life cycle and ensures only properly tested software is released to production. A flawless customer experience is our top priority and this role plays a major part in that company goal. By designing and executing properly prepared test cases (both manual and automated) and working closely together with the entire agile team, this goal is achievable. This position focuses on both the agile team as well as the QE organization.
Qualifications and Requirements
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
Strong understanding of Web services, databases
Strong backgroundin test automation with front end and back end automation tools
Strong oral/written communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for driving strategic initiatives through large and diverse organizations
Ability to work within multiple work streams at one time
Preferred Experience:

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required

Benefits:

Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible:

General Summary:
The Buyer-in-Training (BIT) position is the required entry-level position into CarMax's Merchandising department. Under general supervision, BITs are responsible for acquiring and managing CarMax's extensive used car inventory through the successful completion of Customer appraisal assessments
