Job Description

  • GENERAL SUMMARY

  • The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and directing the actions of staff involved in the patient access / registration functions during a particular work shift. Performs specific assigned tasks and ensures the quality and quantity of work performance is consistent with policy and standard. GENERAL SUMMARY

The Provider Portal Administrator position is the primary resource for all payer website access and must function independently and handle and understand complex situations and will report to the Senior Billing Manager. In partnership with the management team, this individual will create and implement the website access process required for all team members to obtain, change or terminate access to insurance company websites for CHS providers. The incumbent will be responsible for the design and operation of internal controls to prevent unauthorized access to payer portals and remittance cash flows, for monitoring ongoing compliance by all users with established internal controls and for processing request for access to all payer website for all revenue cycle or other approved team members based on job role and employment status. The incumbent will be responsible for understanding and effectively managing the various insurance companies' website functionality with regard to access for all provider profiles and revenue cycle operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and manage user set up in accordance with organization structure, key records and the accounts of all other users in their portal. This position will have the highest level of user access rights.

  • Process daily request based on job status and description utilizing formal internal ticket process in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Provides services within and inpatient, OR, ED and outpatient setting.

  • Evaluates radiographs for technical quality.

Regular exposure to radiation. Minimum chance of injury once established safety procedures are followed. Ability to stand for long periods of time wearing a lead apron. Ability to lift or turn disabled patients. Although radiation hazards exist in this occupation, they are minimized by the use of lead aprons, gloves, and other shielding devices, and by instruments monitoring exposure to radiation.   • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews, analyzes, and researches open purchase orders.

  • Informs Buyers of potential backorders.

  • Communicates vendor delays and/or back-orders to appropriate stakeholders. Includes updating PO notes with the issue, expected delivery date, and vendor's estimated ship date.

  • Assists as appropriate in resolving invoice discrepancies.

  • Assists A/P and Purchasing in resolving purchase orders received not invoiced (RNI) and purchase orders invoiced not received (INR).

  • Conducts data analysis and updates key performance indicators as assigned.

  • Identifies opportunities and offers recommendations for standardization of product/services, cost savings, and process improvement.

  • Participates in Value Analysis projects as required.

  • Assists with product trials, implementations, and conversions.

  • Backs up Buyers as needed.

  • Participates in physical inventories.

  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Associates degree preferably in a business related area. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel and Word. Access experience a plus.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity and experience with accepted purchasing practices and concepts.

  • Ability to travel to CHKD off sites as required.

GENERAL SUMMARY

  • Plans, provides, and monitors individualized psychiatric and medical nursing care in response to specific patient needs within a defined scope of practice. Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient population. Reports to department management.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, provides, and monitors individualized psychiatric and medical nursing care following established policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Performs therapeutic nursing interventions as established by individualized plan of care for the preschool, school age or adolescent patient and the patient's family.

  • Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care.

  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with all members of the healthcare team.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Core competencies:

  • Medical and psychotropic medication knowledge

  • Understands and evaluates data related to psychiatric emergency: Vital signs/LOC Glasgow coma scale; Lab tests (routine bloodwork, urine toxicology screen)

  • Demonstrated understanding of the Emergency Mental Health Nurse and their role within the ED

  • Demonstrated ability to support the therapeutic milieu, provide a safe environment, perform interventions to manage alterations in mental/behavioral health, and ensure patient and staff safety

    LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.

  • CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.

  • PALS required within 1 year of hire.

  • RN certification preferred.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have an Associates in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience, however a BSN is preferred. If hired with an ADN, the candidate must complete a BSN program within three years from their date of hire.

  • Pediatric medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

  • Pediatric inpatient psychiatric or pediatric med-psych nursing experience is desirable.

  • Pediatric experience preferred.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Outreach Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting education and outreach initiatives with CAC staff, multidisciplinary team (MDT) partners, and other CAC stakeholders. Reports to the Director of Program Evaluation and Grant Development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds and maintains relationships with civilian and military multidisciplinary team partners to increase access to, and participation in, prevention, forensic, intervention, and treatment services for children and adolescents who have experienced child traumatic stress and their families.

  • Conducts education and outreach with community providers and stakeholders on trauma-informed care, CAC services, trauma screening and referral procedures, evidence-based practices, and other topics as needed.

  • Collaborates with program leadership to develop and implement comprehensive outreach plan, including identifying and developing outreach and/or education initiatives and supporting the onboarding of new MDT partners and CAC staff and volunteers.

  • Coordinates and collaborates to support consistent CAC-branded education and outreach efforts across CAC teams.

  • May serve as the Hampton Roads Trauma-Informed Care Network (HRTICN) Coordinator in support of HRTICN education and outreach activities in collaboration with the CAC Executive Director.

  • Engages in continuous quality improvement initiatives and evaluation of implemented approaches related to education and outreach activities, including data collection and management of tracking systems.

  • Participates in grant-specific and/or grant-required collaborative activities and engage in sustainability activities.

  • Maintains professional standards of practice by demonstrating responsibility/accountability for professional growth and development related to knowledge and skill competence, including incorporation of supervisor feedback.

    LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • None required.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in public health/administration, marketing, education, psychology, social work, human services, or other related field required.

  • Experience in group facilitation, public speaking, collaboration, and training/education, and/or experience conducting community trainings, coordinating trainings, and facilitating meetings preferred.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to promote communication and relationship building with leadership and community partners.

  • Commitment to best practice in outreach and education.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite and Virtual platforms (e.g. Cisco Web-ex and Zoom).

  • Advanced project management and organizational skills preferred.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the stakeholders and program. Charismatic and engaging interaction style preferred.

  • Previous experience with Child Advocacy Center services, collective impact initiatives, and/or trauma-informed care a plus.

  • Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license and be able to meet the insurance requirements of the hospital, if required by position.

  • Position may involve evening hours on occasion.

  • Increased Security Clearance May Be Required: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
