What You'll Do Here:
Develop, manage, and retain top sales talent
Recruit and hire -best in class-, field-based Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to fill open positions
Provide initial and ongoing training to ensure every AE's and CSM's success
Provide accurate and meaningful performance feedback to all direct reports
Identify performance issues and work to address them with a high degree of urgency
Mange each Account Executive's professional development and sales success through field-based coaching, formal and informal mentoring, and / or additional training as needed
Coordinating with Sales Program Directors to ensure effective deployment and development of CSM's
Ensure the retention of top-quality talent through career development / coaching
Develop and coach AE's and CSM's on consultative selling skills
Provide feedback as appropriate on assigned Engagement Managers to their respective managers
Create and execute district- and territory-level sales plans
Develop and carry out a strategic District sales plan that drives the Region's sales success and digital growth
Appropriately deploy Customer Success Manager to provide pre-sales support for digital product sales, with a focus on driving large digital adoptions
Analyze District sales reports, Account Executives' pipelines, and competitive activity to forecast and drive territory growth
Develop appropriate strategies to take advantage of opportunities and minimize impact of competitive threats
Ensure Account Executives develop and implement effective territory plans through the strategic use of territory planning tools (e.g. the sales force automation / CRM systems)
Ensure effective collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders outside the Sales organization
Ensure communication and collaboration within Higher Ed Sales
Work with internal teams (Marketing, HR, Finance, Digital Implementation, Institutional Sales, etc) as needed to achieve District and Company sales objectives
Communicate regularly with internal constituents and partners to ensure complete information flow concerning opportunities, threats, etc.
Gather market and competitive intelligence in the assigned District and share with appropriate internal personnel
Assign Customer Success Managers to support digital product training for field sales team through virtual and in-person trainings
Provide leadership and direction to District sales team
Communicate Company and Sales vision to team ensuring understanding and commitment
Communicate District and individual sales goals
Drive to exceed assigned sales target for the District by working with Account Executives to help them exceed their individuals' sales and product mix objectives
Provide enterprise-wide account leadership within assigned District (e.g. bookstores, multi-department sales and strategies that affect an entire account)
Administer District budget and ensure reporting requirements are met
Manage District expense budgets including sampling and overall cost center, monitor expenditures by team members and work with them to ensure budgetary compliance
Complete all required reports in a timely manner

Reporting to Cengage Group's Assistant General Counsel, Employment & Litigation, the primary objective for this position is to provide counsel and legal support to HR and management with respect to employment matters.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide advice and counsel to HR on all aspects of day-to-day employment-related matters, including hiring and termination, harassment, discrimination and retaliation, wage and hour issues, conflicts of interest, employee investigations and performance management.
Analyze reductions in force and reorganizations with sensitivity to minimizing legal risks and identifying potential liabilities.
Advise on compensation issues such as FLSA classification, pay equity and bonus plans.
Provide legal support in the areas of leaves of absence and ADA accommodations.
Draft, review and implement employment-related policies and procedures with focus on compliance with federal, state and local laws.
Create and maintain employment-related contract templates; negotiate and advise on employment-related contracts.
Review and advise on independent contractor classification issues.
Keep updated on legislative changes and advise on necessary policy or process changes.
Respond to lawyer's letters and negotiate severance agreements.
Assist in company acquisition/divestiture efforts as needed in areas of subject matter expertise.
Conduct HR training on various employment legal issues.
Supervise, manage and evaluate outside counsel on employment-related matters.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Juris Doctorate
3-5 years of experience as an employment lawyer
Excellent written/verbal communication skills

The Associate Virtualization Engineer assists the Virtualization Solutions Lead in the execution of the strategic direction for the tower within the GTS organization. This role will take direction from the Virtualization Lead and Infrastructure Architect and work with our technology partners to deploy, monitor, maintain, and optimize virtualized environments. This role works closely with other GTS towers to ensure functionality, scalability and reliability of deployed solutions.
The Associate Virtualization Engineer is responsible for documenting and assisting in building complex virtualization solutions including server, storage, and network. The position will also capture requirements and assist in the testing of system solutions in a simulated production environment, debugging, and monitoring systems for function and efficiency. The applicant will learn various facets of virtualization, networking, server, and storage management, and will execute the directives of the Virtualization Lead and provide guidance to outsourced business partners to ensure strategic goals are met.
The Associate Virtualization Engineer will supervise the virtualized desktop environments and assist in capacity planning. Responsibilities include helping to transform the tower into a service-based group that adapts to the evolving needs of agile teams and projects. This role ensures timely delivery of infrastructure and collaborates with other towers to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
This position utilizes proven interpersonal skills, a collaborative nature, and awareness of self and others to increase success in the position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure the team is following guidelines set forth by the Virtualization Lead and other Cengage leads.
Provide direction to IT outsourced partners
Work with the team member to further define and enhance the technical infrastructure
Ensure that the virtualization team is meeting the tactical and strategic SLAs defined in support of Cengage
Assist the team in troubleshooting issues, installing new hardware, and setting up new virtual environments
Collect and report on metrics that reflect the performance of GTS systems and infrastructure and support our SLAs and goals for availability and performance
Assists the tower lead to gather requirements for new infrastructure
Gathers requirements from the business and assists Cengage's outsourcing partners in implementing these requirements
Work to understand Cengage's business cycles and capacity needs and assist the lead in future planning
Work closely with desktop support to ensure infrastructure requirements for the virtual desktop environment are being met
Works with the Virtualization Lead to evaluate new technologies around VDI and plan for implementation
Works with the Virtualization Solutions Lead to ensure we have the proper capacity and the VDI environment is running efficiently
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Basic (Required)
Have a basic understanding of VMWare ESXi and other virtualization technologies (version 5.5 or above) including the basic principles of automation and deployment of systems in VMWare
Working understanding of Intel-based computer systems
Understanding of computer networking
Strong communication and people skills, both written and verbal
Preferred
Experience working with IT outsourcing partners
Experience with a variety of hypervisors
Experience working with Virtualized Desktop Infrastructure and management products
Understanding of principles of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software-Defined Infrastructure (SDI).

Your role
We are seeking Senior Software Engineers driven to understand and address problems. Integrate with cloud platform technologies such as AWS Fargate on ECS, EC2, S3, Route53, and more

We are looking for people who

What you'll do here:
Credit/Collections
Contact customers in your assigned territory for payment and chargeback information.
Monitor accounts to ensure collectability.
Confirm that department and the appropriate company policies and procedures are being followed.
Work closely with other departments to resolve customer issues that result in non-payment.
Reporting
Provide manager with vital information regarding accounts.
Provide customers with updated account spreadsheets as needed.
Provide written correspondence to delinquent accounts in effort to collect.
Provide documentation to accounts via fax or email as needed.
What you'll need here:
PC literacy required-proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Show ability to make sound credit decisions.
Be able to handle workload with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills are essential in servicing the accounts in order to insure their good will and promotion of future orders.
Preferred
Proficient in JD Edwards Accounts Receivable, Enterprise 1 (E1) and/or GET PAID Experience.
Experience with SAP is a plus.
Associate Degree or equivalent work experience.
