Our Account Executive role is a hybrid field sales position covering the Central Virginia area with a mixture of 2-year and 4-year schools. For time spent in the field with customers we provide a company car. This role provides the opportunity to build relationships and have a high level of customer engagement. We are looking for a sales professional with a background in outside sales, cross selling, upselling, renewals, and longer sales cycles.
Ideal candidates are located near Richmond (VA), but we will also consider candidates from the suburban areas
What you'll do here:
Build and maintain outstanding relationships with customers in the Central Virginia area, including 2-year and 4-year schools.
Engage in cross-selling, upselling, renewals, and managing longer sales cycles.
Successfully implement sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
Provide flawless customer service and support using a company car for field visits.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a world-class customer experience.
Skills you will need here:
Proven experience in outside sales with an ambitious and determined approach.
Strong background in cross-selling, upselling, and renewals.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of collaborators.
Ability to compete and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Located near Richmond, Petersburg, Chester, or the surrounding suburban areas.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR ) supports the Institutional Sales and Marketing teams through qualified sales lead generation, marketing campaign and conference support. The SDR will complete phone call and email campaigns with strong follow-up to generate new sales leads and qualified appointments. This role will also be responsible for establishing a rapport with conference leads to do high-level qualification and to schedule a time to speak with the appropriate Institutional Sales Team (or other key Cengage Leaders). As requested by the Institutional Sales team, the Sales Development Representative will also research key accounts to detail key institutional goals and other relevant account information. Our Account Executive role is a hybrid field sales position covering the Central Virginia area with a mixture of 2-year and 4-year schools. What you'll do here:
This Gale Field Sales Consultant engages directly with a variety of customer groups, including teachers, librarians, curriculum specialists, principals, and school district administrators throughout key Michigan and Indiana schools and districts. You'll meet with current and prospective K12 customers on implementing technology and digital learning resources. This position works with schools to expand their use of digital resources for remote, hybrid and classroom learning, equitably to support all learners. What you'll do here:
This Gale Field Sales Consultant engages directly with a variety of customer groups, including teachers, librarians, curriculum specialists, principals, and school district administrators throughout key Michigan and Indiana schools and districts. You'll meet with current and prospective K12 customers on implementing technology and digital learning resources. This position works with schools to expand their use of digital resources for remote, hybrid and classroom learning, equitably to support all learners. Teachers and those with education backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Sales Prospecting and execution
Master sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present digital product solutions.
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals, including driving new business to cultivate growth within the territory.
Demonstrate a range of digital learning products across different subject areas and grade levels.
Use SalesCloud and other sales tools to understand sales history, build detailed proposals, accurately forecast, and lead the territory.
Develop and implement strategic territory business plans.
Participate in networking opportunities such as industry conferences and events, when appropriate.
Travel 40-50% of time.

We are in search of a dedicated individual with extensive experience and expertise in leading the entire SAP S/4HANA ABAP development process.
