The Senior Manager, SEC & External Reporting will assist in the planning, organization and preparation of the Company's external financial documents and SEC filings (including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, 8-K), as well as other filings in conjunction with various corporate transactions.
The scope of responsibility includes the financial documents, footnotes, MD&A and other disclosures. The position reports to the Director - SEC & External reporting.
Location: Opportunity to work a hybrid schedule. Candidates that live in Virginia Beach to Richmond geography can work remote with 1-2 days (or as needed) a month at the corporate offices in Newport News for in house collaboration and meetings.
Responsibilities:
Assists with the development of a formal calendar/timeline of events associated with all filings including reviews by internal personnel, C-Suite, disclosure committee, and the audit committee of the board of directors and external auditors.
Assist in researching reporting matters, accounting principles, and financial reporting rules, as well as preparation of internal documentation to support due diligence, technical accounting memos, and internal controls.
Assists in the coordination and preparation of the Company's external financial reporting within required filing deadlines.
Preparation of certain footnotes, MDA and other required disclosures as assigned.
Detail review and preservation of supporting work papers for data and disclosures contained in external financial reports, ensuring the completeness and integrity of all financial disclosures and information to meet the highest of standards including SOX requirements.
Work with external and internal auditors to provide information required to complete quarterly reviews and annual audits, including SOX implementation and testing.
Collaborate with the investor relations department in the preparation of Company press releases in accordance with Reg G.
Assist in the analysis of the quarterly financial results leading to significant interaction with external auditors and divisional finance personnel.
Assists with training internal finance and accounting personnel with regards to SEC reporting practice and procedures, as well as new accounting policies and procedures under US GAAP.
Assist with any and all ad hoc reporting, research or document preparation as assigned.
Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant work experience, including experience in public accounting (Big 4).
Master's Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred; CPA designation required.
Experience with sophisticated ERP / General Ledger platform.
Meaningful exposure to rigors and requirements of SEC reporting environment.
Experience with SEC reporting software a plus.
Personal attributes:
Dedication to high standards, integrity and ethics.
Must have a track record of managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines and agility to adapt.
Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to interact optimally with all levels of management.

Safely operate a stand-up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
Use technology like RF devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders.
Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility clean, safe, and accident free.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent education.
Prior warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management is required.
High attention to detail.

Ferguson is now seeking an Area Industrial Engineer (IE) to join our team! This multi-site role drives the improvement process efforts to improve productivity and lower operating cost within distribution centers in a specified region. The Area IE will work with local distribution center management and data analysts to ensure effective implementation of the labor management program. This person will lead the standardization of our processes and will frequently lead multi-functional, operational, and engineering teams in the network.
Please Note: This position can be physically located in in the DC Metro area however the role covers operations in that area as well as Celina, OH and Front Royal, VA. Travel up to 50-75% is required.
Responsibilities:
Train, develop and direct the support team at each of the DCs.
Develop standards for new operations.
Supervise the accuracy of the installed standards on a continuous basis; ensure locations conduct follow-up studies to verify standards.
Work with the DCs to identify improvements in methods, procedures, equipment, or workflow which increase output or quality.
Coordinate the collection of data to update the current standards to reflect any changes to an operation.
Ensure meetings are held with supervisors and employees to present changes in procedures, equipment, and/or standards and documents are updated.
Ensure updates are made to the Labor Management System based on changes to existing standards or the introduction of new standards.
Ensure the DC teams maintain the complete records of all-time studies or other data used to change standards or establish the best method.
Lead process standardization and improvements -inside the four walls- of the distribution centers to ensure the success of meeting objectives.
Strive for the continuous improvement of the Region's labor management systems and Engineered standards program.
Work with the Local DC management in the discovery of inefficiencies in day to day operations and challenges while drawing support for change across all the DC's in the Region.
Lead the solution development, cost-benefit analysis, and implementation of distribution improvement opportunities.
Support business development by assisting in developing solutions to support the pursuit of new business through providing operational expertise and systems knowledge.
Research and maintain knowledge of emerging industry practice.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, operations analysis, logistics, supply chain, or related field from an accredited institution is required.
Minimum 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination education and experience as an industrial engineer, operations/business analyst, or consultant.
Experience using MOST to develop Engineered Standards required, knowledge of Labor Pro is a plus.
Proven skills in the management of projects and multi-functional teams.
Prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Distribution center or fulfillment experience required, Operations experience preferred.
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) required, preferably Highjump.
Understanding of warehouse design, material handling equipment, and storage media technologies, pick methodology, work measurement, labor management, slotting, and warehouse services (i.e., kitting and customer labeling).

How We Train You

Upon successful completion of the training period, you will relocate to one of Ferguson's United States based distribution centers or large branch warehouses to work in a warehouse supervisory/management role. How We Train You
Invest in your personal career development in our entry-level Purchasing Training Program! The emphasis of your training will be warehouse operations, sourcing and purchasing, accounting, leading all aspects of inventory, and business metrics. Further, you will receive job demos to learn about supporting business functions and develop relationships with key personnel. Mentorship opportunities will be provided with recent program graduates and senior associates.
Upon successful completion of the Purchasing Training Program, you will relocate to your final assigned location as an entry-level Operations Manager. Final location assignments are based on business needs.
What Happens After Training

Provide strategic leadership for our (business group) Warehouse

Maintain associate engagement throughout the warehouse

Warehouse Associate Union 1pm

Ferguson is currently seeking a Union Warehouse Associate to join our team!
Responsibilities
Safely operate a stand-up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
Use technology like RF devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders.
Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility clean, safe, and accident free.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent education.
Prior warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management is required.
High attention to detail.
Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic.
Self-starter with ability to learn our systems quickly.
Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs regularly.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
