We are looking for a Marketing Manager for our Education Segment. This is great opportunity for innovative marketing professional to support our operation team, developing strategies to create the consumer experience appropriate to the brand and account in which they operate. You will be valuating key client marketing plans/materials relative to effectiveness and/or ROI, as well as providing recommendations for improved efficiencies/changes based on your expertise.

What you'll be doing:

  • Serve as marketing Liaison/Lead

  • Develop segment-specific strategic marketing plans with support of Senior Director of Marketing

  • Execute program strategies for unit level

  • Collect / Track Program Data with the Region

  • Develop and execute retail promotional strategies for culinary concepts

  • Develop marketing programs aimed to increase customer satisfaction, participation and or revenue

  • Partner with the corporate team to develop creative briefs for marketing collateral which includes among other initiatives

  • In-Unit Marketing Calendars

  • Case studies

  • In-Unit brands standards

  • Concepts

  • Programs

  • Business Development Presentations

  • Manage / Responsible for the New Account Opening Marketing Process

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

  • 3-5 years of Marketing Experience or related field

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience

  • Solid understanding of marketing strategies and tactics (food service, retail or restaurant management preferred)

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective presentations designed to influence executive leadership and decision makers

  • Possess professionalism and passion for customer and client relations

  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals and groups with widely varying backgrounds, perspectives, education and skills is required

  • Ability to think strategically and operate autonomously

Nice-to-haves;

  • Experience working in a marketing capacity supporting a contract services organization

  • Experience working in a marketing capacity in Food Services

Where you'll be working:

This position will be located at Savannah State University in Savannah, GA.

Compensation

The compensation for this role starts at $55,000 but goes up depending on experience.

The Role at a glance:

Plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates the activities of the Food Service Department to provide outstanding dining options to our contracted client, establishes policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for menu formation, food preparation, distribution and service, budgeting, purchasing, sanitation standards, safety practices, staffing, and staff development. The Catering Sales Manager is responsible to work independently to sell and produce events in varied market segments. Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with established event locations as well as for identifying and building upon location list. Catering Sales Manager must work both independently and as part of team to fully manage the sales process and work closely with the Event Management and Services teams in the sales, administration, execution and production process' of events. Sales Manager will attend, execute and manage events as needed.

Compensation: $70,000- $75,000 plus commission

What you'll be doing:

Direct Sales at unit level

- Work independently towards client outreach to develop new client relationships and to initiate sales opportunities.

- Complete monthly KPI's that contribute to prospecting and outbound sales efforts.

- Seek and attend networking groups and events.

- Maintain positive internal and external client relationships and liaison as necessary to ensure a consistently positive interaction.

- Field incoming leads, give preliminary price quotes, negotiate, and close those sales.

- Finalize all staffing needs and party details for individually sold events.

- Collect all monies and deposits due prior to upcoming events.

- Event Coordination support to include timing of events, assisting Captain(s) with staff assignments on site and meeting with staff when necessary, acting as liaison with client, kitchen, staff, and vendors.

- Create catering proposals, which are comprised of four major areas: menu, beverage, staff, and equipment rental.

- Participate, conduct client meetings / sales calls, and follow up.

- Conduct tastings as needed.

- Track lost business and lead inquiries to better understand trends in the business.

- Collaborate and coordinate with onsite team in partnership with individual events.

Financial Performance

- Achieve set yearly sales goal set forth by your unit level leader.

- Monitor event profitability to ensure that events are sold and executed according to company standards and budget.

- Ensure that all event deposits, payments, and invoicing reflect the company policies and procedures.

- Monitor staffing levels on each event to ensure proper service standards are achieved and profitability maintained according to budget.

- Run assigned reports to further analyze the business and upcoming event calendars.

Marketing

This will be a collaborative approach with the Marketing to ensure the successful development of the brand.

- Regularly network to increase notoriety and buzz surrounding events at venue.

- Work with sales and marketing team in creating blitz or sales initiatives, in conjunction with unit leader.

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends as they evolve, and share these with the team.

- 3+ years of experience overseeing high-volume food and beverage/catering operations either within a hotel, cultural institution, or premier catering company

- Bachelor's Degree preferred

- Must have experience in entrepreneurial and corporate business environment.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a motivated food service worker to our Education team in Cochran, GA. As a food service worker, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks, learn a variety of skills, and interact with a diverse clientele daily in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing:

Preparing, serving and distributing food, and may require working in various areas of the department, such as the tray line, dish room, cafeteria and storeroom.

We are looking to add an enthusiastic, motivated dishwasher to our Education team in Cochran, GA. As a dishwasher, you will have the opportunity to ensure sanitary eating conditions by keeping kitchen equipment, cutlery and utensils, and tableware clean.
