What does a Lube Technician do?
Drain motor oil, change oil filter
Wash windshield and adjust tire pressure
Inspect and top off fluids
Assist the customer in selecting oil type and other services
Process payment for services performed.
Perform coolant exchanges

Primary Purpose
Inspecting vehicles, verifying customer concerns, diagnosing automotive conditions, recording required repairs and preventive maintenance needs on work orders detailing what and why, communicating and demonstrating required and suggested repairs, replacement of parts required to complete approved repairs, test driving cars after completing repairs, and cleaning work areas after each car is completed
Essential Duties
Test driving vehicles and verifying customer complaints and vehicle conditions.
Reading, researching repair information, description and operation, using Alldata, ldentifix, and IATN among other online and printed references.
Communicating, documenting, and demonstrating automotive service needs and conditions including required repairs, suggested repairs, and preventive maintenance services. Completing inspection forms and work orders as required.
Removal and replacement of parts required to complete authorized repairs.
Verifying repairs are completed, followed with a test drive confirming customer concerns are relieved by repairs performed.
Clean up and put away tools. Clean, sweep, and mop bay and work area after each car.
Oversee and advise less experienced employees, mentoring their development.
Other Duties
Keep clean and maintain employee break room, bathroom sink, mirror, toilet, lockers, laundry, refrigerator, and microwave.
Empty shop trash cans as needed.
Keep shop floor area clean and free of debris.

What does a Manager-In-Training (MIT) do?
Check in with customers before they leave the shop to make sure they had a great experience
Running the floor (making sure each employee is where they need to be, ensuring everything has been checked on each vehicle, and every customer is satisfied before they leave).
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Assist with counting and adjusting inventory.
Anyone in Management is always responsible for training and developing their subordinates.
Being a role model to the other employees in the shop.
Holding team members accountable.
MITs are also expected to perform all technician duties including but not limited to:

What does an Assistant Shop Manager (ASM) do?
The Assistant Shop Manager role allows you to continue to hone the skills you've built as technician (Approximately 80% of the time) while beginning to learn the skills necessary to lead your shop and become a Shop Manager

What does an Assistant Shop Manager (ASM) do?
The Assistant Shop Manager role allows you to continue to hone the skills you've built as technician (Approximately 80% of the time) while beginning to learn the skills necessary to lead your shop and become a Shop Manager
The primary responsibility of an ASM is still to perform all technician duties including but not limited to:
Drain motor oil, change oil filter, grease chassis fittings
Wash windshield and adjust tire pressure
Inspect and top off fluids
Assist the customer in selecting oil type and other services
Process payment for services performed.
Perform coolant exchanges and transmission drain & fill services
Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness
Check in with customers before they leave the shop to make sure they had a great experience.
Ensure the Proper operation of the store in the absence of the Shop Manager.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Assist with counting and adjusting inventory.
Being a role model to the other employees in the shop, without the pressure of hiring, firing, or making other similar employment decisions.

What does a Shop Manager (SM) do?
Recruiting, Interviewing, Onboarding
Responsible for motivating the team, holding the team accountable, and making personnel decisions
Check in with customers before they leave the shop to make sure they had a great experience
Ensure crew actively provides excellent customer experience
Control inventory: Conduct End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory

The Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A (Expense) is responsible for providing reliable financial reporting information to the Car Wash, North America leadership team to be used to make decisions impacting the performance of the division. This role will closely partner with the Operations team to optimize site-level labor spend and support the cost-out imperative across 3 segments of the business (organic, M&A, and Greenfield).
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, FP&A for Car Wash, North America and offers a high level of visibility to the Car Wash, North America Leadership Team. There is also a high level of cross-functional interaction with the Operations, Field, and Business Development teams.
Prepare, review and analyze financial forecasts / key expense drivers, operating budgets and strategic plans at the total company level and at a site-level
Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
Provide in-depth analysis on financial performance and root cause variances to forecasts
Develop driver-based expense models for site-level labor to better understand market trends and analyze to support strategic initiatives
Partner with HR / Payroll to support monthly and quarterly bonus calculations / payments
Partner with Labor team to develop centralized labor model, monitor key drivers (e.g. hours, wage, overtime), and adjust labor strategy as needed
Understand business requirements and translate them into specific reporting tools
Develop strategic insights for the Car Wash, North America division by performing analysis using internal and external data to include reviewing and tracking industry/ competitive/ environment data
Analyze ROI and profitability for business initiatives and identify improvement plans for gaps
Lead strategic projects, identify key business and financial risks, and support setting financial priorities
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of labor, site controllable costs, and centrally managed expense accounts

The Director of Corporate Planning will be the hands-on finance leader for the Corporate planning function. This role will own a mix of recurring and non-recurring deliverables that are critical to the company's success. Specifically, the person will provide reliable financial reporting and analysis for Driven Brands consolidated budgets, forecasts and long-range plans, as well as manage the detailed Shared Service plans. This role will also act as a resource for special projects to help drive key business decisions and narratives.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President of FP&A and offers a high level of visibility with Senior and Executive Management Team members. There is also a significant level of interaction across all four business segments (Maintenance, Paint Collison & Glass, Car Wash, and Platform Services).
Build financial plans and forecasts, including annual budgets and long-range plans
Act as a business partner to key corporate function leaders such as head of M&A, Legal, HR, CFO and CIO; manage the Corporate departmental expense budgets, annual spend of $120M+
Lead departmental trend and variance reporting for Corporate expense (shared service) areas
Consolidate forecasts and plans for the overall Driven Brands portfolio, including bi-monthly forecast flash
Motivate and develop a small team (currently 1 senior analyst)
Provide strategic insight and analytical support to help guide business decisions; identify key risks and opportunities
Develop business case models for company initiatives
Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and projects such as quarterly earnings preparation, board slides, ROIC, WACC, TSR, etc.
Flash and periodic business reporting including variance analysis
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics or Math - MBA preferred, CFA, CPA or other professional qualification is a plus.
6-8 years experience in Finance roles, with increasing responsibility and business interaction
Strong core FP&A skills, including business case modeling
Deep understanding and caring about the drivers / levers of business and how that translates to financial success
Demonstrated ability to accurately model the financial aspects and outcomes of business issues using spreadsheets and/or other applicable tools
