Working on site at customer locations, you'll fix cosmetic damages (curb and road rash, peeling, scrapes, gouges, oxidation and bent wheels) using spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids. The process involves removing the wheels, repairing them in your mobile truck and placing them back on the vehicle. Tasks include painting surfaces, inspecting wheels, prepping and buffing defects, mixing colors and finishing.

Body Repair Technicians will repair all assigned vehicles to pre-accident condition according to the written repair order

Job Responsibilities

• Review each repair order, work order notes to understand repairs needed prior to beginning work on the vehicle. All repairs must be completed according to the documentation on the repair order.

• Identify parts for cut-in and edging.

• Perform all repair procedures according to factory specifications and company policy.

• Follow company procedures in application of under-coating, corrosion protection, seam sealer, weld-through primer and lubricants.

• Document labor time on work order as it is completed.

• Review work order and initial all completed repair items.

• Perform Paint application

• Report any equipment problems or failures to management immediately.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 year's body repair and paint experience.

• I-Car certification

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs:

• Verification of batch totals.

Dent Wizard is looking to hire an Automotive Paint Apprentice to work alongside experienced automotive paint technicians to service customer where he/she will be exposed to "hands on" on the job training focused on automotive paint.

With Dent Wizard you will learn the latest techniques in automotive paint and refinishing. This technical training program is designed for candidates that have an automotive background or are currently enrolled in a refinishing & collision course(s). Successful candidates will good mechanical aptitude, because it's not just about spraying paint - you could find yourself removing panels, repairing them, and replacing them

Responsibilities

. Assist the lead paint tech in repairing and painting the surfaces of vehicles using spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques

. color matching

. Mix specified color using standard formulas

. Wet sanding and buffing of refinished and OEM paintwork

. Sand, mask & paint surfaces, blend & polish finish to match the surrounding areas

. Using a brush, apply or retouch paint as necessary

. Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Tech

Y ou'll provide mobile repairs for auto dealerships, auction houses and other customers at a fixed site or on a route . You'll repair rips, tears and burn s; mix dyes to match surfaces; and remove stains. Your goal? To make a detailed car's inside look as new as possible and ready for sale. Because you'll be on site with our customers, you also need to have the sales and communication skills to build relationships and drive business.

  What You Need to Succeed

• Vision abilities including close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

• Strong organization al and communication skills to interact with customers and build accounts

• Toughness and grit to work outside in all kinds of weather

• Manual dexterity for repetitive- motion tasks

• Strong work ethic, self-motivation and the ability to wo rk independently

• Physical stamina to kneel, bend, squat and climb , as well as lift up to 1 5 pounds

• Valid driver's license and good driving record
