During your paid 10-weekinternship, you will:

• Have the unique opportunity toutilize your skills through individual assignments and team projects

• Work on systems that defendGEICO, attend meetings, and give presentations to senior management

• Receive mentoring and coachingfrom members of Cybersecurity management

• Interact with associates at alllevels of our cybersecurity organization-even our CISO!

• Develop your technical, projectmanagement, communication, and leadership skills

GEICO's Cybersecurity teams have positioned our company as a leader amongst its peers in the Cybersecurity space. Being a summer intern at GEICO has the potential to lead to a full-time IT career upon graduation.

Required CandidateQualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor'sdegree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, ComputerEngineering, Business Information Technology, Information Systems, or arelated major

• Current junior or senior status(i.e., class of December 2020 or May 2021)

• GPA of at least a 3.0 both overalland in major

• Coursework or relatedwork/internship experience using various Cybersecurity technologies.Experience with programming andscripting languages like Python, Bash, Java, .NET, or C# technologies withwell-rounded experiences outside of the classroom

• Strong analytical,problem-solving, and communication skills

• Preferred candidates will havedemonstrated leadership potential

• Ability to live and workin the Washington DC area

Under general direction of the VP and AVP, the RAD Planning and Project Manager will manage the Research, Analytics and Development departmental business planning and budgeting process. They will also manage the departmental hiring priorities to include managing the Management Development and Training programs. They will coordinate departmental projects and systems implementations with IT.

Essential Functions:

• Manages the Research, Analytics and Development departmental planning process including gathering of departmental input, compilation of monitoring reports, status reports, alternate plans and revisions

• Coordinates RAD technical departmental projects, priorities and implementations with IT

• Provides oversight and guidance on analytical projects and assignments, develops project plans and cost benefit analyses for multiple assignments, produces relevant and accurate business conclusions to support efficiency and performance of department

• Manages project timelines and deliverables for analytical projects and special assignments. Develops cost benefit analyses for multiple assignments and ensures project deliverables and timelines are met

• Develops departmental hiring projections and establishes the staffing plan.

• Oversees the coordination and management of RAD development and training programs. Develops and implements new programs and strategies to ensure established goals are met.

• Prepares department business plans, staffing projections and budgets. Requisitions supplies and materials necessary for efficient operation. Reviews plans and budgets periodically to achieve cost reduction where possible

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS required

• Master’s/PhD preferred

• 4+ years of relevant experience

• 2+ years of experience in leadership roles
