Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to adults, children, and youth of service members.
Provides individualized financial counseling and assistance to service members and families.
Assists service members in establishing an extended absence financial plan.
Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
Coordinates, publicizes and provides a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops, e.g., topics across the military lifecycle, including, but not limited to, arrival at first duty station, pre- and post-deployment, and personal and career events outlined in DoDI 1322.34.
Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars to youths and teens as part of on-base education.
Possess the skills to effectively utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication, such as web based, secure online chat, or video-based communications and secure video teleconference sponsored by the customer which may be offered as an adjunct to face-to-face counseling in situations where service members and families are unable to attend in person.
Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol and staffs the cases with leadership.
Communicates with leadership and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations to which the counselor is assigned.
Participates in regular in-services/training, quality Improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned/appropriate.
All other duties as assigned.

This position will provide personal financial services at assigned military installations. Primary responsibilities include the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations. Services include education and counseling addressing financial services that may include, but are not limited to, one-on-one counseling, consultation with a commander or with another provider or staff, conducting briefings and presentations, or providing referral resources to a participant outside the context of a counseling session. Works closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is providing within scope and meets the needs of the installation.
Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to adults, children, and youth of service members.
Provides individualized financial counseling and assistance to service members and families.
Assists service members in establishing an extended absence financial plan.
Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
Coordinates, publicizes and provides a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops, e.g., topics across the military lifecycle, including, but not limited to, arrival at first duty station, pre- and post-deployment, and personal and career events outlined in DoDI 1322.34.
Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars to youths and teens as part of on-base education.
Possess the skills to effectively utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication, such as web based, secure online chat, or video-based communications and secure video teleconference sponsored by the customer which may be offered as an adjunct to face-to-face counseling in situations where service members and families are unable to attend in person.
Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol and staffs the cases with leadership.
Communicates with leadership and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations to which the counselor is assigned.
Participates in regular in-services/training, quality Improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned/appropriate.
All other duties as assigned.

This SOCOM position supports military members at Fort Liberty. Candidates must be local to the base or be willing to relocate to become local. Candidates must be licensed at the independent level in the state of North Carolina as a Social Worker ( LCSW ), Therapist ( LMFT ), or Mental Health Counselor ( LCHMC ). Relocation assistance may be available.
This position has the primary responsibility of providing the full breadth of MFLC counseling services to military service members and their families at the Special Operations Command (SOCOM). This position requires a secret level security clearance and must abide by the rules governing such secret clearance. The counselor is responsible for providing MFLC services including non-medical, short-term, walk-around counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues with a unique understanding of the special operations cultural and security issues.
Provides non-medical, short-term, solution focused, walk-around counseling directly to service and family members of the SOCOM. Services include assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources (assuring linkage as appropriate), and follow-up as indicated.
Delivers training and health and wellness presentations and other base/installation activities as requested/directed.
Enters counselor activity data daily through smart phone, or web application to assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation, while maintaining client / service member confidentiality.
Cultivate and maintain direct relationships with installation personnel within the SOCOM. Responsible for development of an effective and professional working relationship with the installation POC (Point of Contact) and with the SOCOM leadership.
Create a presence on the installation in which the service and family members feel comfortable approaching the counselor and recognize the program to be confidential. Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources and provides appropriate linkages for service members and their families. Partners with POC to provide MFLC services in a manner that addresses the needs of the installation.
Provides MFLC response to critical incidents, surge, and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) program manager. Counselor will flex schedule to respond to urgent requests as needed.

Master's Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health related field.
Valid unrestricted counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory or Commonwealth that grants authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner.
For assignments in the 50 states, counselors shall be licensed or certified in the state in which the client is receiving services.
A minimum one year of post licensure counseling experience.
Requires ability to engage and communicate with military members or children as assigned, in order to accomplish job functions, and to respond quickly to emergent situations in any physical location on a military installation and/or within a school setting, which includes the need to traverse short and/or long distances within the base to both indoor and outdoor locations, to maneuver through rugged, outdoor or uneven locations (e.g., steep inclines, stairs, grass), and work in outdoor weather and other military base conditions.
May require travel to locations outside of a military base in a variety of physical environments. Due to the nature of working on military installations or related worksites, counselors may need to comply with various site specific requirements to work at designated locations. For example, for some assignments, counselors will need to have certain immunizations or vaccinations and provide record of receipt.
Secret Level security clearance.
Pass a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) Clearance and an Installation Records Check (IRC), Criminal History Background Check and FBI Fingerprints Check.
Ability to prove US Citizenship and must speak fluent English.
Understanding, sensitivity and empathy for service members and their families. Ability to develop trusting, helping relationships. Ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Prior military service/military family member and/or strong familiarity with military culture and command structure; ability to establish productive relationships with high ranking military personnel.
Vehicle Operator's License Requirement: Unless specifically waived by the FEDSIM COR, all contractor personnel providing counseling support at Government locations shall possess a valid U.S. state vehicle operator's license. Services take place in a military medical center, pediatric department.

Focuses on supporting the pediatric physicians and staff as well as providing parent support, consultation, training and guidance. Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities focused on 0-3 child development.
Enters counselor activity data on a daily basis through smart phone or web to assure that reporting is accurate from assigned medical facility while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service / family member.
Creates a presence on the medical facility in which the service and family members feel comfortable approaching the Healthy Steps Specialist and recognize the program to be confidential. This position is in support of military families at Fort Liberty. Provides professional military personnel support services to the U.S. Navy's Identification Card Administration (ICA) program at Navy installations designated as Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) sites.
Serves as ID Card/Common Access Card (CAC) customer service specialist trained and certified by the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC).

Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol and staffs the cases with leadership.

This position will provide personal financial services at assigned military installations for 12-month rotations. Primary responsibilities include the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations. Services include education and counseling addressing financial services that may include, but are not limited to, one-on-one counseling, consultation with a commander or with another provider or staff, conducting briefings and presentations, or providing referral resources to a participant outside the context of a counseling session. Works closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is providing within scope and meets the needs of the installation.
Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to adults, children, and youth of service members.
Provides individualized financial counseling and assistance to service members and families.
Assists service members in establishing an extended absence financial plan.
Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
Coordinates, publicizes and provides a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops, e.g., topics across the military lifecycle, including, but not limited to, arrival at first duty station, pre- and post-deployment, and personal and career events outlined in DoDI 1322.34.
Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars to youths and teens as part of on-base education.
Possess the skills to effectively utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication, such as web based, secure online chat, or video-based communications and secure video teleconference sponsored by the customer which may be offered as an adjunct to face-to-face counseling in situations where service members and families are unable to attend in person.
Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol and staffs the cases with leadership.
Communicates with leadership and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations to which the counselor is assigned.
Participates in regular in-services/training, quality Improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned/appropriate.
All other duties as assigned.

This position is in support of a Child Development Center associated with NAS Pensacola. Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to become local and be licensed at the independent level in the state of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor ( LMHC ), Therapist ( LMFT ), or Social Worker ( LCSW ).
Provides the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) Military Family Life Counseling (MFLC) services to children of all ages of military service members and their families at military installations to include civilian expeditionary work force and their families (when activated). These services may include non-medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel at child development centers, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting children and youth. CYB counselors will be assigned to child development centers, youth programs, summer camps, and on demand assignments. The counselors work closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is provided within scope and meets the needs of the installation.
Provides non-medical, short-term, solution focused counseling directly to children and youth of service members. Services include assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources (assuring linkage as appropriate), and follow-up as indicated.
CYB counselors will also have a focus on supporting the staff and personnel of Child Development Centers (CDC), youth programs and summer camps as well as providing parent support, training and guidance.
Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities focused on children and youth.
Enters counselor activity data on a daily basis through smart phone or web application to assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service/family member.
Creates a presence on the installation in which the service and family members feel comfortable approaching the counselor and recognize the program to be confidential. Creates a presence in child and youth settings. Is available to children, youth, and staff. When working with children, counselor must abide by line of sight protocol. (Another adult with responsibility for the child must be able to see the counselor and child they are working with at all times.)
Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources focused on children and youth and provides appropriate linkages.
Partners with POC to provide CYB services in a manner that addresses the needs of the installation/facility. Develops an effective and professional working relationship with the installation/facility POC.
Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol and staffs the cases with Regional Supervisor/Regional Director.
Communicates with Regional Supervisors and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations and in facilities to which the counselor is assigned.
Responds to critical incidents and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) program manager. The CYB will flex schedule to respond to urgent requests as needed.
Participates in regular in-services/training, Quality Improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned/appropriate.

Master's Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health related field.
Valid unrestricted counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory or Commonwealth that grants authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner.
For assignments in the 50 states, counselors shall be licensed or certified in the state in which the client is receiving services.
Minimum 2 years of post-masters supervised clinical experience.
Must meet the Magellan MFLC CYB criteria for experience with children and youth and specialty in child and adolescent development/psychology.
Pass a Child National Agency Check and Inquiries (CNACI) Clearance and an Installation Records Check (IRC), Criminal History Background Check and FBI Fingerprints Check.
Understanding, sensitivity and empathy for children, service members and their families. Ability to develop trusting, helping relationships. Ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Ability to prove US Citizenship and must be fluent in English.
Requires ability to engage and communicate with military members or children as assigned, in order to accomplish job functions, and to respond quickly to emergent situations in any physical location on a military installation and/or within a school setting, which includes the need to traverse short and/or long distances within the base to both indoor and outdoor locations, to maneuver through rugged, outdoor or uneven locations (e.g., steep inclines, stairs, grass), and work in outdoor weather and other military base conditions. Due to the nature of working on military installations or related worksites, counselors may need to comply with various site-specific requirements to work at designated locations. For example, for some assignments, counselors will need to have certain current immunizations or vaccinations and provide record of receipt.
Vehicle Operator's License Requirement: Unless specifically waived by the FEDSIM COR, all contractor personnel providing counseling support at Government locations shall possess a valid U.S. state vehicle operator's license. As a condition for employment under this contract, contractor personnel may be required to pass all tests for and obtain a U.S. military vehicle operator's permit for commercial sedans and similar, for use at Temporary Duty (TDY) locations, if required.
