Join the Medtronic Systems Engineering team in designing a connected ecosystem of insulin pumps, glucose sensors, mobile apps, and cloud computing systems. In Systems Engineering, we manage complexity; technical product design and cross functional team collaboration. We work in the space between marketing, engineering (mechanical/electrical/software), clinical, UI/UX, regulatory, and quality to bring these experts together to collaboratively design medical device products.

You will lead, direct, and organize Systems Engineering activities in converting business and customer needs into solutions through concept ideation, system designs, trade studies, data analysis and modeling. After driving concept designs, you will take concepts from ideas to products, through defining architectures, requirements, features, interfaces, and user workflows for how all these devices work together in the system. Your participation will also be instrumental in helping the Core Team Leader organize the project's execution.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Drive collaborative design and development of medical devices; mobile apps, insulin pumps and glucose sensors

• Drive collaborative design and development of features in apps connected to cloud data systems with machine learning

• Perform technical analysis such as functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies

• Develop system concepts, capture user needs, and create use cases or user stories

• Develop and manage multiple levels of requirements

• Develop and document interface designs and protocols

• Define, plan, and conduct formal technical design and test reviews

• Guide, develop, and review verification strategies, test designs, test tools, planned execution and documentation

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.

• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline with 2+ years of technical engineering professional experience

OR

Master's degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline with 0 years of experience

Nice to Have:

• Experience capturing architectures, system designs, or product definitions

• Writing technical documentation

• Requirements Management Tools such as DOORS or PTC Integrity

• Experience in technical design techniques such as use cases, functional analysis, timeline analysis, and sequence diagrams

• Experience in mobile app or web-based systems design, development, verification, and documentation

• Experience with mobile apps deployment and post launch maintenance

• Experience working with communications protocol design, definition and documentation

• Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical device, defense, or automotive.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$83,200.00 - $124,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The Mechanical Circulatory Support Operating Unitis part of the Cardiovascular portfolio and is focused on the ongoing care of HVAD & MVAD patients currently implanted with a left ventricular assist device (LVAD). The HVAD system includes a mechanical heart pump used to increase the amount of blood that flows through the body. When one of the heart's natural pumps (a ventricle) does not perform well, an LVAD can be used to increase the amount of blood that flows through the body.

Reporting to the MCS PMO Director, the Senior Program Manager, Product Development will be responsible to manage one or more programs, leading the Projects Team(s) to drive decisions and execute on them. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in program/project management skills, ability to problem-solve, product development, and experience in influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

This position is in Mounds View, MN within the Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) operating unit and requires on-site presence three days a week.

A Day in the Life

In general, the following responsibilities apply to the Senior Product Development Program Manager role. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

• In this role, you will serve as the team leader on moderate to complex projects/programs by providing overall leadership, vision, direction, and structure to a cross-functional team. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful implementation of activities in the development and update of released products. You will lead the team to deliver on business objectives and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded by leading with integrity, passion, and humility. You will be accountable to PRC Leadership on the overall project/program execution and ensure team commitments are met.

• Lead cross functional teams through the product development process to ensure successful completion of development projects, design changes, and compliance programs.

• Develop, implement, communicate, and document project strategies and plans including budget and detailed schedule creation and maintenance.

• Lead team meetings and other necessary meetings to drive best in class program execution by continually improving quality and effectiveness of how meetings are run, decisions are made, and how work gets done.

• Communicate (verbally and in writing) complex topics, catering messages to the specific audience.

• Identify and manage stakeholders by keeping stakeholders informed with appropriate and timely information.

• Travel >25 % of the time

Qualifications

MUST HAVE - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree required

• 7+ years of relevant experience in industry with bachelor's degree; or 5+ years of relevant experience in industry with an advanced degree

• 10+ years of experience in Project and/or People Management

• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

• Experience managing and leading projects in the medical device industry

• Experience negotiating and managing competing priorities across multiple functional areas.

• Experience working cooperatively at all levels in a matrixed environment with diverse teams

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a team environment

• Strong communication and teamwork skills; builds trusting relationships with team members and key leadership stakeholders

The CoreValve District Manager will plan, direct, and lead sales activities and assist with sales training for Medtronic CoreValve System and future catheter-based therapy technologies. The CoreValve District Manager develops and implements a strategy for sustainable business relationships and therapy growth to include achieving revenue targets and profitability while achieving safe growth for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).

In addition, the CoreValve District Manager will be responsible for the overall hiring and on boarding of sales representatives and clinical specialists, mentoring team development, implementing retention strategies, and collaborating with the local Medtronic sales and leadership teams within the cardiovascular group (CVG).

A DAY IN THE LIFE: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hire, develop, and retain sales representatives and clinical specialists in support of achieving business objectives

• Ensure the district's field team is properly credentialed at all hospitals for vendor credentialing and has access/good standing to hospitals

• Develop and maintain a high performing organization

• Oversee district structure/organizational planning; identify qualified accounts and proper order of rollout with territory alignment and compensation considerations

• Manage individual territory customer interface while on boarding talent

• Oversee all performance management responsibilities; feedback/coaching, development planning, employee training, objective setting, performance reviews, etc. in support of the therapy development staff

• Manage and achieve annual operating planning/quota, budgeting and forecasting for the therapy development team within the district

• Ensure the field reports all product and procedure complaints to the appropriate departments according to Medtronic policy

• Ensure staff is trained and abides by Medtronic mission and ethics policies, and business conduct standards

• Document formal field travel within district with proper follow-up and quarterly rep/clinical reports

• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to Sales and Clinical team through field visits, observation, and measurement of results. Performance responsibility includes safe growth with outcome accountability

• Establish plan quotas for each territory in region; ensure that strategies are in place to meet and exceed plan

• Ensure all sales and marketing programs are communicated and implemented and coordinated

• Expertise with subject matters involving healthcare economics, upstream and downstream product portfolio, clinical data and the competitive marketplace

• Drive team work between Medtronic CVG sales organization and other internal constituencies to improve communication and sharing of information and resources

• Monitor and control expenses to include proper allocation of customer inventory

• Develop, maintain and provide solutions for customer business needs

• Effectively build a positive working relationship between Medtronic CoreValve and key accounts

• Attend/develop curriculum for quarterly district clinical/sales meetings and attend key society conventions as requested

• Communicate developments in best practice techniques and technologies, impact of education programs, competitive activities, and customer response back to the CBT Business Unit

• Cultivate and maintain excellent internal professional relationships with education, marketing, clinical, regulatory, quality, supply and R&D teams

A Day in the Life

The individual in this position will develop and execute the biocompatibility analysis of medical device products, supporting the regulatory submission of both implantable and non-implantable Medtronic product. This person will work under general supervision, assembling current design documentation, providing gap assessments and strategies to remediate in accordance with international standards and European medical device regulations.

Provide assessments of existing and new medical device product against current medical device regulations and international standards.

Determine activities needed to remediate medical device product biocompatibility and hazardous substance data to current requirements.

Document compliance of product to internal procedures.

Support the quality and reliability of released product through comparative testing or root cause characterization testing.

Participate in the analysis of technical issues and the development of recommendations for project decisions and actions

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for biological safety assessment in compliance with ISO 10993, FDA, and other geographical requirements for medical devices.

• Provides guidance in the development of products and selection of materials to ensure that released products meet biological safety requirements.

• Uses applicable standards, written procedures, statistical processes, and academic understanding of toxicology and biocompatibility principles to accomplish tasks.

• Authors biocompatibility evaluations and/or toxicological risk assessments for regulatory submissions and compliance by analyzing, interpreting, and drawing conclusions from biocompatibility testing, extractable and leachable chemical characterization, and biological evaluations.

• Leads team in product failure investigations, interacting across functions and management levels.

• Engages in continuous improvement activities aimed at increasing efficiency and productivity, contributing to the overall operations and to the achievement of organizational goals.

• Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories and may contribute to scientific literature and conferences.

Team is working hybrid and position will be onsite in Mounds View, MN, a minimum of 3 days/week.

This role serves as a member of the Cardiovascular Portfolio Controller team, which is responsible for systems, processes, and procedures associated with closing the books and supporting the control environment.

This position will report directly to the Cardiovascular Portfolio Controller and be an integral member of the Controller's staff. This position will provide leadership and expertise in accounting and finance activities for complex matters, including revenue recognition, accounting reserves, and various other technical accounting topics. Building relationships at all levels of the organization and effectively communicating complicated concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to drive business strategies, will be critical to success in this role.

- Responsible for driving adherence to and communication of accounting policies and procedures and internal controls, including training and influence of business practices to comply

- Responsible for managing, coordinating, and assisting with accounting activities with our Shared Service Centers

- Responsible for driving efficiency through standardized accounting treatment and policies across the Portfolio while maintaining control environment

- Manage financial analysis and decision support on technical accounting matters, including complex business transactions and implementation of new accounting standards

- Provide proactive business partnering with operating units to establish accounting treatment for new and current business models and business alternatives, helping to drive business strategies with optimal financial statement impacts

- Provide Cardiovascular Portfolio-level support to internal and external audit, corporate accounting, and tax departments

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (OR Advanced Degree with 8+ years)

A Day in the Life

Provide technical, clinical and sales support, in collaboration with the sales team, within the region or assigned territory in support of the launch and adoption of the EP mapping and navigation system (Affera) and all products within the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) business. Primary Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on the EP mapping and navigation system and all CAS products.

• Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to CAS products and related procedures.

• Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.

• Understand and support national, regional and territory sales objectives to achieve or exceed sales goals within all CAS products.

• Develop and cultivate customer relationships resulting in incremental business.

• Work in partnership with Account Manager, Regional Manager and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities.

• Collaborate and strategize with local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other CA Solutions products.

• Collaborate and communicate with the sales and clinical teams in the region.

• Serves as an effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, service and support.

• Serve as a regional champion to share your experience and influence others to be proficient in the mapping technology.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma PLUS a minimum of 8 years of work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation. OR

• Associate degree PLUS a minimum of 6 years of work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation. OR

• Bachelor degree PLUS a minimum of 4 years of work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. Degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical discipline with minimum of four years work experience in cardiac field, hospital/clinic or sales.

• Proven track record with technical training assignments.

• Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, in a hospital/clinic or EP medical sales providing technical / clinical support.

• Ability to travel more than 25% of the time

• Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application

A Day in the Life

At Medtronic, the Therapy Awareness Consultant is responsible for driving therapy penetration and new user adoption of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN) in existing and new accounts. Through job related synergies in technical expertise, rep training, and end user training, this individual will drive DPN through their technical and sales aptitude. This individual will also represent Medtronic in accordance with its policies and in the area assigned, maintaining an awareness of local competitive conditions and report back promptly to the Pain Interventions leadership team.

This is a field based role.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Drive therapy awareness and remove barriers to patient access of approved treatments.

• Enhance and develop indication awareness within:

• Primary Care, General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine

• Endocrinology

• Podiatry

• Neurology

• Spine surgeons

• Other

• Engage and educate existing or prospective HCP's and staff on the value, data/evidence, and opportunity to offer different pain interventional therapies to patient's suffering from chronic pain

• Provide patients and primary providers approved resources, information, and guidance to help improve access to care

• Assist local team in communicating with treating physician and primary physician

• Serve as a district resource to help team members expand and implement therapy awareness programs

• Conduct therapy advocacy and awareness activities and inservices with prospective patients

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

The Principal Process Development Engineer will lead the development of manufacturing processes for new products for the Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) business. This position will work with other functions within the program team; but will have ownership for plans, reports, data collection, or other means necessary to gain the knowledge required to create and document the associated manufacturing procedures. You will also collaborate with design colleagues to ensure designs are capable of meeting performance and manufacturing targets. This position will support in data collection and review of regulatory submission-ready documentation for the FDA and other regulatory bodies.

The PVH operating unit offers a diverse portfolio of devices and therapies to treat restore the right blood flow to the right patient.

Peripheral Vascular Health therapies treat patients with Peripheral and Carotid Artery Disease, End-Stage Renal Disease, Superficial and Deep Venous Diseases, and a variety of conditions treated with Peripheral Embolization. The operating unit leads the way in the Superficial Venous, Deep Venous Stenting, and Drug-Coated Balloon markets, caring for nearly 1 million patients globally with lifesaving and life-enhancing therapies.

This position is in Plymouth, MN. within the Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) operating unit and requires on-site presence.

A Day in the Life

In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Principal Process Development Engineer . This includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Support new product development by designing and developing manufacturing processes for new products that facilitate ease of manufacturing while producing quality, cost effective products with optimized yields.

• Pilot Line Development: Design manufacturing sequence of operations/workflow and specifications for equipment/tooling to ensure most efficient and productive layout.

• Feasibility Studies: Perform feasibility studies that explore new process technologies and evaluate its potential for application to catheter manufacturing. Analyze results and make recommendations.

• Equipment and Fixture Development: Identify equipment and fixture needs within pilot line and/or manufacturing operations. Design and develop equipment and fixture requirements and its process parameters where applicable. Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to realize design and ensure it meets specified requirements.

• Qualification and Validation: Generate and execute plans for equipment qualification and process validation. Develop plans to evaluate process capability. Perform test method development and validation. Apply six sigma methodologies as appropriate.

• Defines and generates all required documentation in support of manufacturing products and processes. These includes designing and writing engineering protocols in compliance with GMPs and internal procedures, FMECAs, reports, manufacturing instructions and procedures. Use of appropriate six sigma methodologies such as Design of Experiments (DOEs), Gage R&R, and other statistical tools as necessary. Provides in depth analysis of issues or problems and implements process improvements to enhance performance of the job area.

• Collaborates with product development teams to support new product development or existing product line extensions/modifications by ensuring new products or manufacturing processes are designed to facilitate ease of manufacturing and to produce quality, cost effective products with optimized yields. Communicates with senior internal groups and frequent interaction with external groups (i.e. vendors, suppliers, etc.).

• Develops cost benefit analyses and implements process improvements initiatives to reduce and/or optimize product costs.

• Domestic and international travel anticipated up to 25%.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a technical discipline

• Experience in medical device manufacturing or manufacturing in highly regulated industry/environment

• Prior knowledge and experience in new product development

• Working knowledge of statistical tools such as DOE, SPC, Hypothesis Testing and Process Capability Studies

• Experience with polymer extrusion, thermal bonding, adhesive bonding or laser processing

• Six Sigma training and/or certification

• Database Administration: Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security

• AWS RDS Management: Administer Oracle databases within the AWS RDS environment, including provisioning, backups, scaling, and replication

• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance using Oracle tools and AWS RDS features

• Disaster Recovery: Implement and test disaster recovery strategies for Oracle databases in AWS

• Data Migration: Lead database migration projects, including migration from on-premises to AWS RDS.Security Management: Ensure database security by managing user access, encryption, and other security features

• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to optimize database queries, schema design, and overall application performance

• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for database environments, processes, and procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 7 years of experience as an Oracle DBA

• Strong experience with AWS RDS, particularly with Oracle databases

• Proficiency in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

• Knowledge and experience of Oracle Data Guard, Physical Standby, Logical Standby, dataguard broker

• RMAN - expert level working knowledge

• Oracle Technologies - Partition, TAF, DATAPUMP, SQL/PLSQL, Indexes, Patching etc.

• Experience with data migration and replication strategies

• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and IAM

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Database - Specialty or similar certification

• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell

• Knowledge of additional database technologies (MySQL, Snowflake)

A Day in the Life

This individual will be part of a corporate Global Trade Legal & Compliance team in the Global Operations and Supply Chain Legal Department composed of lawyers and compliance professionals that combine deep substantive expertise in global trade areas core to Medtronic's business with in-house understanding of Medtronic's businesses. Team members work across business units and geographies resulting in unique ability to 1) advise businesses on complex legal regulatory questions, 2) identify common and conflicting legal issues and positions across the company, and 3) contribute to high-level policy decision-making.

The Sr. Compliance Manager, Global Trade Legal & Compliance will aid in the ongoing enhancement of our global trade compliance program, ensuring adherence to import regulations, export controls, and sanctions laws. They will be responsible for managing, creating, and enforcing global policies, procedures, training, and systems that support global trade compliance.

This position could reside in either Minneapolis, MN; Washington, D.C.; or near a Medtronic site in the U.S. This position reports to the Director of Global Trade Legal & Compliance.

Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Develop and implement ongoing trade compliance program that drives accountability for compliance with import requirements, export controls, and sanctions regulations.

• Partner with enterprise supply chain, regional trade experts, and global/regional functional teams to manage trade compliance risks and work with such teams to implement effective controls to mitigate them

• Partner with corporate and regional compliance teams to implement trade compliance program activities

• Collaborate with Global Trade Operations and Office of Ethics & Compliance along with other internal stakeholders in support of risk assessment, auditing and monitoring activities

• Collaborate with business and regional partners on due diligence reviews of global trade compliance matters in connection with potential business development activities

A Day in the Life

This Sr. Engineering Director role within the Surgical Operating plays a key strategic role within the cross-functional Business Unit team and reports indirectly to the General Manager, overseeing all quality-related activities in the organization. Key responsibilities include leading pre-market quality while collaborating closely with Post Market Quality, Quality Systems, and Enterprise quality functions. A Day in the Life

This individual will be part of a corporate Global Trade Legal & Compliance team in the Global Operations and Supply Chain Legal Department composed of lawyers and compliance professionals that combine deep substantive expertise in global trade areas core to Medtronic's business with in-house understanding of Medtronic's businesses. Team members work across business units and geographies resulting in unique ability to 1) advise businesses on complex legal regulatory questions, 2) identify common and conflicting legal issues and positions across the company, and 3) contribute to high-level policy decision-making.

The Sr. Compliance Manager, Global Trade Legal & Compliance will aid in the ongoing enhancement of our global trade compliance program, ensuring adherence to import regulations, export controls, and sanctions laws. They will be responsible for managing, creating, and enforcing global policies, procedures, training, and systems that support global trade compliance.

This position could reside in either Minneapolis, MN; Washington, D.C.; or near a Medtronic site in the U.S. This position reports to the Director of Global Trade Legal & Compliance.

Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Develop and implement ongoing trade compliance program that drives accountability for compliance with import requirements, export controls, and sanctions regulations.

• Partner with enterprise supply chain, regional trade experts, and global/regional functional teams to manage trade compliance risks and work with such teams to implement effective controls to mitigate them

• Partner with corporate and regional compliance teams to implement trade compliance program activities

• Ensure legal requirements related to company's global trade compliance policies and processes are current

• Provide support to colleagues on global trade related litigation, compliance investigations and voluntary disclosures

• Collaborate with Global Trade Operations and Office of Ethics & Compliance along with other internal stakeholders in support of risk assessment, auditing and monitoring activities

• Identify and drive mitigation of global trade legal risks that cross Medtronic businesses and facilitate information sharing across Medtronic businesses

• Collaborate with business and regional partners on due diligence reviews of global trade compliance matters in connection with potential business development activities

• Support the development and delivery of legal and compliance training for employees on various global trade compliance requirements

• Exhibit a collaborative mindset in working globally, particularly in a matrixed environment

• Possess effective interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of project/program management experience with global trade compliance programs in a large-scale corporate environment and 5+ years of managerial experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years' experience and 5+ years managerial experience

Nice to Have

• Experience in the healthcare/medical device industry

A Day in the Life

The Finance Director for Material Purchasing and Production Volume FP&A is responsible for aligning team strategies with GOSC Finance objectives, promoting operational effectiveness, and driving organizational performance. This role oversees financial planning and analysis for material purchases and production volumes, partnering with finance and non-finance teams in Supply Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to optimize cash flow and P&L performance across Medtronic.

You will have a Hybrid work schedule, being on-site in a Medtronic facility 2-3 days/week. Ideal locations are:

• Minneapolis - Twin Cities area

• Boulder, CO

• Juncos, PR

• Tijuana, MX

• Galway, Ireland

Other locations will be considered for candidates in locations where they can work on-site from a Medtronic facility.

This position will require working throughout global time zones and have the flexibility to travel globally up to 20% annually.

As the Finance Director - Material Purchasing & Production Volume FP&A your Key Responsibilities will be to:

• Lead the financial forecasting processes for materials and manufacturing absorption accounts, ensuring assumptions are clearly defined, accurately applied and are aligned with business objectives.

• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Supply Management, and Manufacturing teams to support cash flow analysis and trade-offs decisions to balance outcomes across the P&L and Balance Sheet.

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and analysis.

• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls.

• Identify and implement efficiencies through the standardization of processes and automation.

• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development.

• Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging innovation, collaboration and excellence in a global team.

• Provide purpose and context for the team to create linkages between the work the team does and Medtronic objectives and performance.

A Day in the Life

A Market Sales Representative is expected to achieve annual sales objectives through selling and supporting the Company's advanced surgical and energy-based products, while representing Medtronic to the customer in accordance with Company policies and AdvaMed guidelines. Market Sales Representatives develop clinical and administrative relationships in assigned accounts and formulate a "defend" territory strategy, accounting for competitive pressures and local market conditions. Market Sales Representative is expected to demonstrate High Performance Practices and competencies as they meet and exceed objectives for this role.

• Achieve all territory sales objectives annually in alignment with the business strategy and annual compensation plan.

• Develop an understanding of each account's culture, competitive pressures, financial state, stakeholders and decision makers

• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clinical and administrative staff in assigned accounts. Through outstanding customer service, maintain a high retention rate of current accounts in territory.

• Display and leverage strong knowledge of products. Be able to provide hard data around all products, as well as account references.

• Effectively collaborate with Medtronic peers in other BUs to identify mutual opportunities and support customer relationships.

• Complete business analytics and regional reporting assignments in a timely, accurate fashion. Conduct quarterly business reviews to exhibit achievement of sales goals in all assigned accounts.

• Maintain awareness of competitive products and marketing practices, and keep sales management informed concerning them.

• Manage inventory of assigned products in accounts, as requested, and facilitate product returns in accordance with Company policy.

• Verbally deliver clear and concise instruction on the safe and efficacious use of assigned products to customers in and out of the OR setting, including in-services for surgeons and clinical staff.

• Scrub into surgical procedures utilizing assigned product line on a daily basis. Be fully able to answer questions about the products.

• Participate fully in training on new products and procedures through in person and online training programs. Attend regional and national meetings, as required.

• Adjust customer complaints in accordance with Company policy, and advise sales management promptly of any situation beyond the SalesRepresentative's scope of authority.

• Assist with Sales Training courses, both in the field and in the corporate office.

• Understand and demonstrate the High Performance Practices and Expectations in daily work activities.

• Manage assigned territory within allocated expense budget. Submit expense reports and pay Company credit card on time per Medtronic policy

Clinical Selling / "Defend" Functions

• Develop and maintain a strategic account plan to defend sales in accounts in assigned territory. Execute plan to maintain sales volumes in assigned accounts.

• Leverage marketing materials, white papers and clinical evidence through consultative selling. Use clinical knowledge to develop messaging in sales proposal. Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships in assigned accounts to support continued business.

• Gain insight into the key individual customers and how to influence them.

• Identify opportunities for surgeons to attend Medtronic sponsored professional training programs, and participate in programs and labs (where appropriate)

Economic Selling Functions

• Integrate economic value messages into sales proposal where appropriate.

• Collaborate with the Contracts department and sales leadership to manage customer contracts, and facilitate the contract process.

• Research general account context to understand hospital economics and all key issues at major accounts.

• Display and leverage strong knowledge of accounts, purchasing process/buying cycle, and protocols.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Promotes and sells Medtronic's Minimally Invasive Therapies products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.

• Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including key opinion leaders and related major medical associations and academic centers of excellence.

• Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Minimally Invasive Therapies products and/or services.

• Collaborates across key internal stakeholder groups (finance, sales operations, marketing, OEM, etc.) as well as peers to identify and address trends and to support business goals and strategy.

• Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors activities.

• Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.

• Assesses customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicates to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree required

• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience

Nice to Have

• Minimum of two years of documented outside sales success in a competitive, sophisticated environment, preferably tangible products (i.e. office equipment, copiers, payroll systems, information systems)

• Evidence of top sales achievement with experience in multilevel account management is preferred

• Ability to travel domestically and within region often involving overnight stays and stays up to one week in duration.

• Medical Device industry experience preferred

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

In Medtronic's Surgical Operating Unit, we are committed to forging new paths and partnerships that help healthcare systems improve clinical outcomes, expand access to care, and optimize operational efficiencies. The Surgical Sales internship will consist of two components: an 11-week summer program focused on clinical sales training and customer support, followed by five hours per week of continued learning and customer support throughout the following academic year. Successful interns will be considered for full-time Surgical Hybrid Sales roles upon graduation.

As a Surgical Sales Intern, you will be responsible for achieving key goals throughout the summer and academic year portions of your internship. During the summer, you will focus on clinical, product and sales training followed by a combination of remote and in-person customer support under the guidance of a field-based Medtronic Sales mentor. During the academic year, you will work five hours per week-dedicating one hour to continued training and the remaining four hours to remote customer support. Upon successful completion, you will be well positioned for a career as a Surgical Hybrid Sales professional with a global leader in MedTech.

Must Have Qualifications :

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in science or business, with an expected graduation date of Spring 2026

• Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during a 10-11-week summer internship (June 2 - August 15)

• Availability to work 5 hours a week during the school year

• Must reside near a major metropolitan area such as Houston, New York, San Antonio, Austin, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Oklahoma City, Tampa, Orlando, Indianapolis, or Atlanta

• Reliable personal transportation for field-based customer support work

• Legally authorized to work full-time in the U.S. The Medtronic Summer Internship Program does not provide work authorization sponsorship for summer intern positions.Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for the Medtronic Summer Internship Program.
