The Human Resources Specialist will act as a key contributor within the People Services Team and is responsible for delivering superior customer service and providing quality and timely information to the people of the business regarding their HR inquiries.

Responsibilities: Serve as a central point of contact for employees for HR related inquires via a Case Management System and phone line. I-9 documentation and process using the E-Verify system. Maintain employee personnel files. Perform employment verifications. Participate in and on People Services projects, as needed. This is a hybrid work structure allows employees to work remotely and from the office, as needed and based on demands or specific tasks.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Customer Service and Human Resources experience required. High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Experience with ADP, Workday or other similar HRIS systems preferred.

Experience:

• Superior customer services skills in a multi-faceted environment; in writing, via phone, and face to face.

• Flexibility and the ability to multitask is critical. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.

• Ability to interact with many different individuals and prioritize numerous responsibilities.

• Strong computer skills essential, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with a Case Management System, a plus.

The toxicology lab in Houston, Texas operates a SAMHSA-certified drug testing laboratory and CAP and CLIA-certified clinical laboratory. Internship Assignment Summary:

• Perform tasks within multiple departments/areas of the Toxicology laboratory to include: Receiving/Accessioning of specimens. Aliquoting of specimens for initial and confirmatory testing. Assisting Technologists with management of workflow and re-filling of reagents and QC (Screening, Extractions and Mass Spectrometry). Loading and unloading of initial testing batches onto the screening instrumentation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and supervisor guidance (Screening). Maintain inventory of laboratory or instrument supplies and reagents. Notify appropriate personnel or supervisor of any shortages. Follow proper chemical waste disposal procedures, and handling of chemicals according to the safety manual and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) protocols. Follow chain of custody procedures with accuracy and consistency. Verify chain of custody and specimens received.

• Perform and record instrument and equipment temperature, maintenance and function checks.

• Understand and comply with all laboratory and safety policies.

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

• Working towards bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology

• Has experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting

• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues

• Must be able to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast paced, high-volume environment and while prioritizing and manage multiple tasks

• Able to work independently under general supervision

• Expressed desire and interest to work in a laboratory as a technologist after completing an undergraduate degree

• Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and rotate/turn with up to thirty pounds

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Chemistry lab experience/proficiency preferred

About the Position:

• Follows the laboratory's procedure for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, entering results, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.

• Acts as a subject matter expert in areas of testing and support problem investigation and resolution as needed.

• Assists supervisor in performing various assigned responsibilities completely and accurately and within established timeframes.

• Assists supervisor in the performance of the following duties: training staff, scheduling staff for work, reviewing completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance, troubleshooting problems as they arise, making work-flow recommendations to supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Biology, Chemistry, or related Life Science required.

• Florida State Medical Technologist (MT) license is required.

• At least 5 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.

• Previous high complexity testing experience including Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis is required.

• Manual differentials and urine microscopic experience is required.

• Previous leadership experience preferred.

• Previous Labcorp working experience is preferred.

• ASCP certification is preferred.

• Must be able to pass standardized color vision screening.

The Esoterix division at LabCorp is seeking a Technician to join their team in Calabasas, CA! Esoterix provides esoteric testing for hospitals and physician specialists, primarily specializing in endocrinology and GI testing. Esoterix goal is to provide premier laboratory services that positively impact patient care and cost-effective medical treatment. The Lab Technician will assist in specimen testing under direct and constant supervision according to established procedures, working under the oversight of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

• Participate in specimen testing according to established procedures working under the technical oversight of a Clinical Lab Scientist

• Record dates of receipt, in use, and expiration for all reagents, kits, controls, and standards used for assigned assays. Ensure material used is not expired prior to use

• Perform pipetting using pre-set devices, calibrated and approved automatic devices or fixed volume dispensers

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, document PM appropriately, and immediately contact appropriate personnel for problems requiring complex instrument repairs

• Adhere to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies

• Document all activities as necessary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory compliance

The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

• The schedule for this position will be: Monday-Friday, 8:00pm-4:30am Rotating weekends (typically every 3rd Saturday)

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Introduce and prepare biological specimens to the laboratory to ensure accurate processing

• Open specimens and pour off into secondary containers to prepare for analysis and testing

• Verify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted

• Data entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes

• Meet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results

• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas

• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities when required

• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples

• Resolve and document any problem specimens

• Handle and dispose of medical and chemical waste

• Comply with applicable environmental health and safety policies and procedures

• Operate automated instrumentation under supervision if necessary

Education/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• No relevant experience is required

• Previous medical or production experience is preferred

• Proficient computer and typing skills

• Must pass standardized color vision test

• Comfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples

• Ability to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time

• Strong eye hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sight

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• High level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solve

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work overtime when needed

LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Cincinnati, O. The position, Specimen Processing Specialist, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm, and rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

• Communicate effectively with client office staff

• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems

• Meet department activity and production goals

• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Accurately identify and label specimens

• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities

• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated

• Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1 year relative experience required (lab/accessioning, production/manufacturing/warehouse/medical/healthcare environment)

• Previous medical or patient facing healthcare experience is a plus

• Comfortable handling biological specimens

• Ability to accurately identify specimens

• Experience working in a team environment

• Strong data entry and organizational skills

• High level of attention to detail

• Proficient in MS Office

• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

• Ability to pass a standardized color blind test
