The Role at a Glance

We are excited to be hiring a Business Continuous Improvement Consultant in our Workplace Solutions (WPS) Continuous Improvement team. We are on an exciting journey to transforming our WPS Group Protection and Retirement Plan Services businesses through continuous improvement processes. You will have the opportunity to lead complex programs/initiatives in our Group Protection and Retirement Plan Service business areas following the DMAIC process. These transformational changes may include improving manual processes, implementing robotics, technology upgrades, or introducing other new opportunities. The team you will be afforded to work on is an experienced and dynamic team! Lincoln's business teams are evolving and embracing transformation across the board, and you will help create the roadmap for what solutions are put into place for years to come.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions

  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit

  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives

  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects

  • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of assigned area(s)

  • Serves as a subject matter expert and consults with management to understand the complex business needs and desired outcomes of programs and the individual project workstreams

  • Leads and directs program meetings with stakeholders from multiple work streams to map current and future state processes, define program scope, determine complex plans, execute agreed deliverables, and evaluate outcomes

  • Manages expectations of various internal/external stakeholders and provides regular status updates

  • Serves as a liaison across departments/teams to coordinate delivery of projects and ensure alignment of efforts with other organizational initiatives, including system releases and upgrades

What we're looking for

Must haves:

  • 3-5+ Years experience in insurance industry and/or continuous improvement that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)

  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed, and logical discussions/presentations

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate knowledgeably and credibly with senior management and internal constituents

  • Ability to think critically, analyze complex information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution

  • Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Nice-to-haves:

  • Green belt or Black belt

  • Change leadership, value stream mapping and workflow

The pay range for this position is $67,000 - $120,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.

The Group Protection Operations Team will help you grow your technical knowledge and establish strong partnerships (internally/externally) while working in this fast-paced environment.

As an EDI Onboarding Associate, you will be responsible for delivering on EDI onboarding and implementation assignments & projects. You will support pre- and post-sales activity in providing guidance regarding compatibility of proposed onboarding approach with EDI processes. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, facilitate automated EDI processing, and provide a superior onboarding experience for the customer. This opportunity will provide the ability to grow within the group insurance industry while gaining new skills and building strong working relationships. What you'll be doing

  • Monitor EDI requests and ensures timely responses in gathering necessary information, addressing questions, and providing appropriate layouts/file formats for EDI processing.

  • Act as a liaison between Account Management, internal EDI resources, and third-party partners to ensure all stakeholders understand optimal policy setup, per EDI guidelines, to facilitate efficient automation and onboarding.

  • Participate in pre- and post-sales calls with brokers and customers; outlines pros & cons of onboarding approach in terms of compatibility with automated EDI processing; proactively advises on potential changes in approach that can enable automation.

  • Implement standard inbound file feeds for both new customers and ongoing maintenance request including not limited to demographic/eligibility files.

  • Coordinate with internal EDI resources and third-party partners to validate appropriate file configuration and ensure successful initial & on-going transmission and processing of files.

  • Provide ongoing File Support to installed customers, including technical troubleshooting for Level 2 File Support requests.

  • Act as a testing resource for general strategic initiatives.

  • Work with the third-party benefit administration partners to expedite resolution of any escalated file issues; collaborate with partners to research root causes and recommend improvements to processes/file formats to avoid future issues.

  • Identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to positively influence the team and quality while supporting and promoting change management and departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility.

What we're looking for

Must-haves:

  • 4 Year/Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors)

  • 1+ Years of experience in EDI processing and automation directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role OR 1+ Years of experience in Group Protection in customer facing roles directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written)

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated strong customer service experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

The Role at a Glance

As the Retirement Plan Document Auditor , you will be joining an experienced and dynamic team consulting on and reviewing 401(a)/(k), 403(b), and 457(b) retirement plan documents for new and takeover plans, as well as client-requested and IRS-required restatements and amendments. As Auditor, you will perform a thorough quality-review of team members' work to ensure each plan's design meets our clients' needs, while observing Lincoln's service offerings, and adhering to legislative and regulatory compliance standards.   • Serving as a technical resource for team members on plan design, compliance, and problem resolution

  • Retirement plan design and administration credentials such as QKA, QKC, QPC, and/or TGPC

  • Experience with document generation systems such as ASC, FIS Relius, ftwilliam

  • Implement standard inbound file feeds for both new customers and ongoing maintenance request including not limited to demographic/eligibility files.

  • Provide ongoing File Support to installed customers, including technical troubleshooting for Level 2 File Support requests.

  • Act as a testing resource for general strategic initiatives.

  • Work with the third-party benefit administration partners to expedite resolution of any escalated file issues; collaborate with partners to research root causes and recommend improvements to processes/file formats to avoid future issues.

  • Act as a liaison between Account Management, internal EDI resources, and third-party partners to ensure all stakeholders understand optimal policy setup, per EDI guidelines, to facilitate efficient automation and onboarding.

  • Participate in pre- and post-sales calls with brokers and customers; outlines pros & cons of onboarding approach in terms of compatibility with automated EDI processing; proactively advises on potential changes in approach that can enable automation.

  • Implement standard inbound file feeds for both new customers and ongoing maintenance request including not limited to demographic/eligibility files.

  • Coordinate with internal EDI resources and third-party partners to validate appropriate file configuration and ensure successful initial & on-going transmission and processing of files.

  • Provide ongoing File Support to installed customers, including technical troubleshooting for Level 2 File Support requests.

  • Act as a testing resource for general strategic initiatives.

  • Work with the third-party benefit administration partners to expedite resolution of any escalated file issues; collaborate with partners to research root causes and recommend improvements to processes/file formats to avoid future issues.

  • Identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to positively influence the team and quality while supporting and promoting change management and departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility.

  • Implement standard inbound file feeds for both new customers and ongoing maintenance request including not limited to demographic/eligibility files.

  • Implement standard inbound file feeds for both new customers and ongoing maintenance request including not limited to demographic/eligibility files.

  • Provide ongoing File Support to installed customers, including technical troubleshooting for Level 2 File Support requests.

  • Act as a testing resource for general strategic initiatives.

The Role at a Glance

As the Retirement Plan Document Auditor , you will be joining an experienced and dynamic team consulting on and reviewing 401(a)/(k), 403(b), and 457(b) retirement plan documents for new and takeover plans, as well as client-requested and IRS-required restatements and amendments. As Auditor, you will perform a thorough quality-review of team members' work to ensure each plan's design meets our clients' needs, while observing Lincoln's service offerings, and adhering to legislative and regulatory compliance standards. Quality reviews include evaluations of all complexity levels of new and existing plan documents and related materials to complete the entire plan-level review, discussion, document generation, and delivery process.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing detailed reviews, evaluating plan documents for compliance and qualification, and identifying potential risks and/or financial liability to clients and/or Lincoln

  • Serving as a technical resource for team members on plan design, compliance, and problem resolution

  • Fostering positive relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and retention of plan assets, while meeting all required internal, regulatory, and legislative deadlines

  • Leading or participating in projects to champion and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental and enterprise initiatives

  • Following team processes and procedures, while evaluating and recommending improvements to increase client satisfaction and team effectiveness, promote efficiency, and maintain high quality standards

  • Partnering with the team's director and technical leaders to establish department guidelines and capture and communicate challenges and trends

What we're looking for

Must-haves :

  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in retirement plan document consultation, preparation, and quality assurance

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 +years of related experience in lieu of Bachelor's)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations (IRS, DOL, ERISA, etc.) related to qualified and non-qualified retirement plans of varying types and plan design

Nice-to-haves:

  • Retirement Plan services certification through industry organization (ASPPA, NTSA, CEBS)

  • Retirement plan design and administration credentials such as QKA, QKC, QPC, and/or TGPC

  • Experience with document generation systems such as ASC, FIS Relius, ftwilliam

  • Working knowledge across all types of DC plans, ie. 401(a)/(k), 403(b), and 457(b) plans, including church and governmental plans

The pay range for this position is $67,000 - $120,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
