The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on an EDI Onboarding Associate to join our Group Protection Operations Team supporting Workplace Solutions in our Omaha, NE; Atlanta, GA; Dover, NH; Charlotte, NC; Boston, MA or Phoenix, AZ offices.

Background Details

The Group Protection Operations Team will help you grow your technical knowledge and establish strong partnerships (internally/externally) while working in this fast-paced environment.

As an EDI Onboarding Associate, you will be responsible for delivering on EDI onboarding and implementation assignments & projects. You will support pre- and post-sales activity in providing guidance regarding compatibility of proposed onboarding approach with EDI processes. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, facilitate automated EDI processing, and provide a superior onboarding experience for the customer. This opportunity will provide the ability to grow within the group insurance industry while gaining new skills and building strong working relationships. What you'll be doing

  • Monitor EDI requests and ensures timely responses in gathering necessary information, addressing questions, and providing appropriate layouts/file formats for EDI processing.

  • Act as a liaison between Account Management, internal EDI resources, and third-party partners to ensure all stakeholders understand optimal policy setup, per EDI guidelines, to facilitate efficient automation and onboarding.

  • Participate in pre- and post-sales calls with brokers and customers; outlines pros & cons of onboarding approach in terms of compatibility with automated EDI processing; proactively advises on potential changes in approach that can enable automation.

  • Implement standard inbound file feeds for both new customers and ongoing maintenance request including not limited to demographic/eligibility files.

  • Coordinate with internal EDI resources and third-party partners to validate appropriate file configuration and ensure successful initial & on-going transmission and processing of files.

  • Provide ongoing File Support to installed customers, including technical troubleshooting for Level 2 File Support requests.

  • Act as a testing resource for general strategic initiatives.

  • Work with the third-party benefit administration partners to expedite resolution of any escalated file issues; collaborate with partners to research root causes and recommend improvements to processes/file formats to avoid future issues.

  • Identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to positively influence the team and quality while supporting and promoting change management and departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility.

What we're looking for

Must-haves:

  • 4 Year/Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors)

  • 1+ Years of experience in EDI processing and automation directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role OR 1+ Years of experience in Group Protection in customer facing roles directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written)

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated strong customer service experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions and work with concepts such as averages and/or variances

The pay range for this position is $42,300 - $75,500 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Sr. Data Engineer/Sr. Analyst, Application Development to our Customer360 Master Data Management and Search Services teams within Lincoln's Workplace Solutions organization. This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives related to the assigned area(s) of application development responsibility. The candidate must have experience leading teams within an operational organization by suggesting new and innovative ways of gaining data processing efficiencies and participating in architectural and modeling discussions. You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving the cloud-based enterprise data platform. To ensure the technology components of the platform are correctly configured and optimized to meet the functional, non-functional, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience securely moving and processing large volumes of data across on-premises and cloud environments.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the development and maintenance of ETL data pipelines in a state-of-the-art AWS environment, encompassing the full data pipeline lifecycle, including acquisition, transformation, management, export, and analytics.

  • Gain expert-level understanding of the entire MDM and Search technology portfolio.

  • Provide first-level support for production issues and complete RCA.

  • Maintain best practices to facilitate optimized software development, continuous improvement/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and Observability.

The Role at a Glance

This position will provide leadership and support for the oversight of Lincoln Funds' vendors, coordination of financial operations for Lincoln's insurance company separate accounts, and Lincoln fund of funds trade operations. This position will serve as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Perform a variety of due diligence tasks and oversight functions to monitor the internal control processes and functions performed by third-party service providers (such as the fund accounting agent, custodian, security pricing / valuation vendors, independent auditor)

  • Negotiates service provider contracts; develops and maintains service level agreements; measures service provider performance against key performance metrics

  • Coordinates with Vendors and internally on new fund launches

  • Contributes to the direction of the development of business continuity plans

  • Contributes to the strategy development of the Separate Account Financial Operations functional areas

  • Assists the Manager in developing the Separate Account Financial Operations organizational goals, objectives, and operating procedures. Implements into production

  • Designs and implements effective internal control processes and procedures to ensure accurate separate account financial reporting and compliance with federal securities laws

  • Stay current with technological innovations, updating administration capabilities and capacity in a cost effective and efficient fashion.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting

  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting, financial reporting/analysis experience in mutual fund, insurance, or public accounting environment

  • Mutual fund and strong investment knowledge preferred

  • Working knowledge of general ledger and fund accounting systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications/Macro experience preferred

  • Candidate must have strong leadership skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be technically savvy and have strong financial analysis skills

  • Must be able to balance multiple priorities and to communicate with all levels of staff in the organization

The Role at a Glance

This position will provide leadership and support for the oversight of Lincoln Funds' vendors, coordination of financial operations for Lincoln's insurance company separate accounts, and Lincoln fund of funds trade operations.   • Bachelor's degree in accounting

The Role at a Glance

This position will provide leadership and support for the oversight of Lincoln Funds' vendors, coordination of financial operations for Lincoln's insurance company separate accounts, and Lincoln fund of funds trade operations. This position will serve as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for assigned area(s) of responsibility.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions

  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility

  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality within assigned area(s) of responsibility

  • Perform a variety of due diligence tasks and oversight functions to monitor the internal control processes and functions performed by third-party service providers (such as the fund accounting agent, custodian, security pricing / valuation vendors, independent auditor)

  • Negotiates service provider contracts; develops and maintains service level agreements; measures service provider performance against key performance metrics

  • Coordinates with Vendors and internally on new fund launches

  • Contributes to the direction of the development of business continuity plans

  • Contributes to the strategy development of the Separate Account Financial Operations functional areas

  • Assists the Manager in developing the Separate Account Financial Operations organizational goals, objectives, and operating procedures. Implements into production

  • Designs and implements effective internal control processes and procedures to ensure accurate separate account financial reporting and compliance with federal securities laws

  • Stay current with technological innovations, updating administration capabilities and capacity in a cost effective and efficient fashion.

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

  • Financial/Regulatory Reporting 40%

  • Fund of Funds Trade Operations 30%

  • Vendor Oversight 30%

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting

  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting, financial reporting/analysis experience in mutual fund, insurance, or public accounting environment

  • Mutual fund and strong investment knowledge preferred

  • Working knowledge of general ledger and fund accounting systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications/Macro experience preferred

  • Candidate must have strong leadership skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be technically savvy and have strong financial analysis skills

  • Must be able to balance multiple priorities and to communicate with all levels of staff in the organization

The pay range for this position is $67,000 - $120,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
