The Space Division at Leidos has an opening for a Structural Test Engineer to work in our Decatur, AL test facility. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the team to perform structural qualification testing on large hardware with up to 4 million pounds of load.
Primary Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for assembly, integration and test activities for space structures, systems, and hardware. The candidate is required to perform test planning, test execution, scheduling, and resource management. They will perform trade studies, lead tooling and ground support equipment development, lead logistic and transportation planning, create test plans and procedures, support engineering review boards, and interface with customers routinely. The candidate will work in an office and test stand environment. Candidate will be required to ascend/descend stairs, work in a non-environmentally controlled test stand, and be able to lift up to fifty pounds
Basic Qualifications
Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field.
Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of related experience in the aerospace or structural testing.
Extensive understanding of hydraulic systems, load control systems, instrumentation, and data systems.
Candidate will be required to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs in the test stand.
Candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, design engineers, analysts, manufacturing, project management and customer representatives
Experience with MOOG Control systems
Experience with HBM Data system
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, and ability to work with multiple interfaces
Experience in launch vehicle hardware and physical integration

Leidos currently has an opening for a Lab Assembler to work in our Ladson, SC facility. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our new Ladson, SC facility will produce a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.
The Lab Assembler will be responsible for the rapid manufacturing of the consumable products used in our Trace detection systems. This is a repetitive manufacturing environment with a handful of variations.In this role the assembler must be able to read and interpret associated documentation while preparing raw materials for various steps of the process.Some of these steps will include washing, baking, measuring, and mixing of required materials.This person must be detailed oriented and safety conscious to maintain proper ratios and safe handling of the product.Once all required steps are complete samples will be tested and submitted to quality control for verification. The final step will be packaging into small containers with serialization and lot tracking applied.The ideal candidate will be a positive, energetic, self-motivating individual who is ready to learn and contribute to the Leidos mission.

Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and schematics
Utilize various tools to measure, weigh, and mix raw materials
Produce samples, test articles, and finished goods

Proper handling of hazardous material to include storage and disposal
Handling of materials to include removal and replacement of 55 gallon drums

Conduct quality checks on own work and may execute buddy checks on others work
Maintain workspace cleanliness and organization utilizing 5S methodologies
Follow manufacturing guidelines and procedures

Basic Qualifications
BS degree and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience
Demonstrated experience with AWS, Networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole (from an administration and troubleshooting perspective)
Experience with on-site oversight and integration support of hardware, software, networks, and systems including the handling, installation, and utilization of systems and equipment.
Knowledge of and experience working with DevSecOps tool chains
Experience preparing technical documentation
Experience working in a team environment with the ability to mentor junior team members
Ability to configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems
Ability to proactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies
US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

The Junior Systems Engineer will work in a matrixed organization at Leidos-Dynetics, supporting the Enduring Shield Program on a team consisting of three other Systems and Reliability engineers. The candidate will join a diverse team of systems engineers within.A candidate with experience in other systems engineering areas such as Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Analyses, Model-Based Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, and Risk Management will be treated preferentially. However, a BS in Systems Engineering (SE) or in Electrical Engineering (EE) is what is required for this position.
Primary Responsibilities
The Junior Systems Engineer will work with other reliability engineers on large programs associated with the DoD, DARPA, NASA, and commercial applications. The selected candidate will perform RAM analyses such as reliability prediction, Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), reliability block diagrams (RBD), Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), obsolescence, etc. The selected candidate will also perform Systems Engineering duties such as developing requirements specifications derived from customer needs, interfacing with program management and design engineers to support the program's systems engineering needs throughout its design life cycle, including modeling system behavior, defining the system architecture, dictating system interfaces, performing requirements verification, helping develop test programs, and maintaining configuration management.
Basic Qualifications
