NGEN is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) portion of NGEN, the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.

Leidos is seeking a Mid-level Desktop Support Technician to support a government site in Norfolk, VA as one of the key members of the Field Services team. The candidate will be responsible for direct desk-side support to the customer, troubleshooting and repairing IT devices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the resolution of customer tickets according to established Service Level Requirements (SLRs)

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizen

  • DoD Secret Clearance

  • HS diploma with 4+ years of prior relevant experience

  • Valid DoD 8570 IAT Level II: Security+ or higher Certification

  • Must demonstrated expertise in IT Enterprise Operations

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, version 10

  • Experience with HP Service Manager, Remedy, or similar Service/Help Desk ticket management software

  • Basic network troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs for up to a 100 feet at a time; must be able to lift 25 lbs vertically using ladders

  • Must be able to work in confined spaces, such as raised floors or communications closets; must be able to work in noisy environments, such as data centers and operations centers; must be able to stand or sit for 8 hours at a time

  • Must be able to utilize basic hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches while rack mounting active and passive equipment using small screws and brackets

  • Must have normal color vision to identify different colors of wires and cables; must have correctable vision to 20/20 or better so you can see objects and information displayed in schematics, test equipment, and computer monitors; must have depth perception to be able to judge distance between objects to work safely on ladders and in confined spaces; must be able to use and read digital test equipment such as OTDR (optical time-domain reflectometer)

  • Must be able to drive personal or corporate vehicle (depending on availability) to different locations to work on projects and troubleshoot; valid state license required

The GIS / Cartographic Analyst - Journeyman will work within a government/contractor team environment providing Digital Nautical Chart and Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion, Production and Review as well as provide support to existing and developing mission areas. Future needs and capabilities, as well as developmental assignments, are included.

Cartographic analyst duties includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Digital Nautical Chart and or Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion production by performing Cartographic and GIS analyst functions

  • Extracting features from a variety of sources including but not necessarily limited to rasterized nautical charts, digital hydrographic survey data and ortho-rectified imagery

  • Updating source and source catalogs and information

  • Data Conversion/migration

  • Script writing / generation to improve efficiency of the production process

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Requires HS and 3+ years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience in geography, cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) which includes skill in ArcGIS applications

  • Experience in creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and features

  • Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques and NGA digital data formats

  • Ability to analyze imagery and non-imagery source information for application to NGA hydrographic products and databases

This is an exciting opportunity to perform human geography production to support a broad array of Human Geography products to customers throughout the IC, NSG, and ASG. These customers rely on the accurate and timely delivery of these products to support policy decisions and mission planning and execution.

Primary Responsibilities.

The candidate shall use an understanding of geography, research, GIS, and data conflation and management skills to produce the broad array of human geography products including attributed data, maps, including written reports. Production phases for HG projects and products may include research, discovery, evaluation, extraction, creation, geo-enabling, quality control/review, metadata attribution, source citation, service enabling and dissemination. The Contractor shall participate in technical exchanges with Government, partners, and contract personnel located at their site and virtually around the globe. The technical exchanges will focus on Human Geography production to customer standards and feature extraction/attribution issues related to Human Geography production. Maintain staff to support the creation and development of Human Geography products. Enabling activities in support of Human Geography production (i.e. writing SOPs and how to guides, training coworkers, etc.)

Basic Qualifications.

a. 1-3 years of demonstrated experience supporting DoD or the IC's GEOINT Mission.

b. Knowledge of Human Geography concepts.

c. Experience in the research, discovery, and extraction of geospatial and non-geospatial information.

Job Summary

Provide hardware engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design and other technical hardware issues. Procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment. Provide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial. Deploy, install, and implement hardware at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS). Prepares specifications for hardware by analyzing documented and derived system requirements. Conduct site surveys. Prepares engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages. Organize and direct hardware installations. Configure (and document configuration of) computers, networking devices and various peripheral equipment. Prepare site installation and test reports. Ensure that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user's requirements. Prepare reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging hardware technologies. Provide specific input to the hardware components of system design to include end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions

  • Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors

  • Ensure that problems with operational hardware have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user's requirements

  • Assist with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides

  • Conduct site surveys; assesses and documents current site network configuration and site unique requirements

  • Develop hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timelines

  • Train site personnel in proper use of hardware

  • Recommend specifications for hardware acquisitions

  • Prepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages

  • Prepare drawings documenting as-built configurations at each site

  • Prepare site installation and test reports

  • Configure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment

  • Prepare installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides

  • Organize and directs hardware installations across multiple sites

  • Design and verify test harnesses/simulated interfaces for all test and integration phases

  • Analyze and recommend hardware specifications for project-unique or modified commercial hardware

  • Assist with building simulations of proposed systems and provides hardware throughput analyses to system engineers

  • Prepare Mean-Time-Between-Failure and Mean-Time-To-Repair analyses

  • Analyze operational data to identify choke points, failure modes, and other data for design or maintainability improvements

  • Plan all phases of hardware project to include schedules, budgets, and maturation of technical performance parameters

  • Organize and direct teams to address critical system failures that potentially derive from hardware component failure or misconfiguration

  • Work closely with system engineering and test engineering to develop and validate hardware portion of test plans, test procedures, throughput models, failure analysis, and risk analysis

  • Develop proposals for the program manager to reduce or avoid customer costs in up-front acquisition costs or operational/disposal costs

  • Direct the work of other hardware engineers on a project requiring a variety of hardware engineering activities and tasks

Security Clearance requirement:

  • Must possess active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance to be considered for this role.

Qualifications:

Twenty (20) years' experience as a HE is analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions is required. Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Airborne Sensor Operator (ASO) supporting a USSOCOM manned ISR program that will be based OCONUS. Leidos will provide contracted aircrew for an ISR aircraft providing imagery and multi-source data for both real-time and after-action analysis. The ASO will be responsible for routine and dynamic target area assessment using full motion video while providing analysis and distribution of multi-source information via on-board aircraft communications systems. THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

The ASO will be required to execute all assigned preflight, flight, and post flight duties as required to safely and effectively operate an assigned sensor suite supporting a variety of USSOCOM missions. This includes, mission planning, pre-briefings, mission system inspection, operation, troubleshooting, post-flight inspections, debriefings, intelligence product preparation and distribution, and mission documentation. The ASO may also assist with performing sensor upgrades and maintenance.

The O/MUSV program is based in Port Hueneme, CA, and is responsible for delivering cutting edge autonomous vessel technology to the US Navy. Deckhands work rotating 12 hour shifts, on a 28 day on/28 day off rotation. Duties include preparation, preservation, and cleanliness of navy watercraft, watch standing at sea and in port, and pre/post mission craft readiness functions. Provides basic facility maintenance support and cleaning duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Crew Member (Deckhand) shall be experienced in basic seamanship duties and capable of performing as line handler, watch stander and ship's crew as required.

  • Reports to Master and Ops Coordinator for unmanned O/MUSV ship, working at-sea and/or dockside environments.

The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking Multi- Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) All Source Analyst for a vacancy at Beale AFB. This position is part of a large Military Intelligence Program supporting the USAF Air Combat Command's (ACC) ISR mission.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Applicants will coordinate multi-ISR domain mission activities with AF Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) Enterprise stakeholders.

  • Coordination with AF DCGS Analysis and Exploitation Teams (AET) on current operations, multi-ISR discipline support to current Analytic Lines of Effort (ALOE), long-term and short-term analysis in support of Air Operation Center (AOC) mission planning and ISR operations, foreign military capabilities and defense issues; and the development of request for information (RFI) responses.

  • Applicants will support AF DCGS Mission Management Team (MMT) members to verify requirements are met and comply with AF DCGS tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and applicable AF and Intelligence Community (IC) directives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant intelligence experience. Additional years of related intelligence experience maybe considered in lieu for a degree.

  • Completion certificate from a commercial, military, or US government all source analysis training course or a specialized intelligence career field.

  • Minimum of three (2) years' experience in exploiting and reporting data from multi-domain analytical sources and sensors; data mining and research applications; and familiarity with IC databases and reporting standards.

  • Familiarity in one or more of the following is highly desired: JIRA/Confluence, Space or Human Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and DoD / IC sensors and applications.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), demonstrated problem-solving experience and the capacity to work independently and part of a team to provide multi-faceted intelligence products and support to operational units, Joint Commands and IC components is essential.

  • Extensive familiarity with applicable DoD and IC directives, analytic tradecraft standards and reporting cycles is also required.

  • TS/SCI access eligibility on employment start date is required.

Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) are the first line of defense for our Service Members' mental health, and we need flexible, ready-to-serve counselors willing to jump in at a moment's notice.

Leidos seeks passionate licensed mental healthcare providers ready to embrace a flexible PRN-type schedule, stepping in where needed across military installations and communities to safeguard and enhance mental well-being. MFLCs proactively provide counseling services, preventative in nature, to address and provide solution-focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges. Interested counselors may support either adults or minors in a wide variety of assignments including but not limited to being embedded with a military unit, supporting military families, or working within a school setting.

What is Mission Ready Reserve (MRR)? Mission Ready Reserve MFLCs are trained and available counselors ready to serve when called upon. Working as a Mission Ready Reserve MFLC allows counselors to focus wholeheartedly on their passion for helping others, without by administrative burdens. Mission Ready Reserve counselors are assignment ready and taking an assignment is at the discretion of the Mission Ready Reserve counselor.

The Mission Ready Reserve Team has a backfill (fill-in) position for an existing MFLC that is taking a leave of absence. In this position the MFLC serves Service Members and their families at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas. This is an interim position from with the MFLC Program and provides an opportunity to positively impact those who serve our Nation while getting to experience what it is like to be an MFLC.

With additional opportunities to support other short-term assignments throughout the program year.

MRR MFLC Service Oriented Model:

MRR MFLC responsibilities include:

  • Face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families (individual, couples, family, and children).

  • Recommending appropriate referrals and handoffs based on your experienced differential clinical skills to military and community resources according to the needs of military service members and their families.

  • Offer presentations to address social skills development and social emotional learning that is crucial for childhood early development.

  • Build rapport with service members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events.

  • Help families and children with challenges that are particular to the military community, transitions, reoccurring moves, frequent separations, deployments, and more.

Environment: At the direction of the Department of Defense (DOD), duties are performed in multiple indoor locations (approximately 60%) and outdoor locations (approximately 40%). The indoor locations are located within a military installation, a school setting, or a child development center (CDC) setting controlled by the DOD. The outdoor locations frequently involve traversing over uneven grassy, gravel, and/or dirt areas, ascending/descending stairs, and exposure to the weather. CDC settings frequently involve sitting on the floor to interact with children for up to two hours at a time. As a Mission Ready Reserve MFLC, you may experience various environments depending on the assignment.

Licensure Portability

Great news! Under the recent National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), licensed Military and Family Life Counselors may provide non-medical counseling services to military families at any location in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or a territory or possession of the United States, regardless of which state the counselor is licensed in. Within the scope of the MFLC program, a counselor may hold any independent and clinical license recognized by the Secretary of Defense as an appropriate license for the provision of non-medical counseling services.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)

  • The candidate must hold a valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist).

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance.
