The Mission

The Leidos National Security Sector provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide. Your Main Goal:

  • Responsible for overall network engineering support for the EBS-C Development and Production environments including planning, designing, and evaluating components of the network.

  • Duties include providing specifications for network architecture, evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments for the Continuous

  • Integration/Continuous Deployment network.

  • Support includes monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network equipment in both an IL4 and IL6 environment.

  • Works independently at the direction of the Solutions Architect to accomplish daily goals for maintaining the performance and security of the networks.

  • Develops solutions for the EBS-C networks that require collaboration with other technical experts on the team such as Software Developers, Database Administrators, Solution Architect and Project Manager. . Resolves technical problems that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge to support the EBS-C networks

  • Communicates and Collaborates with the Solutions Architect, Software Developers, 1901 group technical experts and Project Manager. . Reports to EBS-C Solution Architect and EBS-C Project Manager

What Sets You Apart:

  • BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply network principles, theories, and network concepts and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas as applicable to EBS-C.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Requires CompTIA Security You Might Also Have:

  • Knowledge of EBS-C

  • Conducted SAP/ERP migrations or other Software Applications to the Cloud

  • Practical application of SAFe principles to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully utilize respources for completion to the development and production environments of the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipeline.

  • Works with our 1901 group Program Manager and the project team to ensure that the EBS-C PWS Task 7 CI/CD pipeline runs within scope, time, and budget constraints.

  • Interfaces with Leidos Solutions Architect and functional leaders, prime contractor, and other support personnel within the EBS-C team.

  • Ensure quality deliverables are provided on time.

  • Responsible to ensure direct reports complete Leidos administrative requirements such as time charging and required training on time.

  • Reports to Leidos MDS Portfolio Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires full understanding of concepts, principles and industry practices within the Program Management discipline and has deep understanding of industry practices and standards as applicable to EBS-C.

  • Must be U.S. Citizen.

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Managed other Cloud Migration programs.

  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP applications and Programs.

  • PMP certified.

Your Main Goal:

  • Works with Journeyman and Subject Matter Expert Database Administrators to design, structure, produce documentation, upgrades, operational guidelines, and protection of the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment environment.

The Project

Your Main Goal:

Your Main Goal:

  • The Senior Cloud Engineer will work closely with junior and journeyman cloud engineers to ensure that the Enterprise Business Solutions - Convergence Cloud Environment is configured, and hardware installed correctly to support the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment.

  • The Senior Cloud Engineer is considered an expert who is responsible forensuring that junior and journeyman cloud engineers conduct the administration and support of the network in both development and production system environments.

  • The candidate will ensure both IL4 and IL6 networks are properly updated and supported through the monitoring of performance, appropriately allocating storage, and ensuring critical patches have been installed foroptimum performance.

  • The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for the EBS-C system infrastructure, implementing best practices to Identify issues and recommend solutions that result in fixes for physical and the virtual systems.

  • Support duties may include updating and supporting systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space, implementing critical patches, reviewing systems performance logs to identifyanomalies, and troubleshooting issues.

The successful candidate will collaborate on an interdisciplinary team spanning industry, academic, and national laboratory partners that seeks to develop a wireless sensor network for infrastructure sensing. The development cycle spans conceptual development through field demonstration. Knowledge of passive microwave sensor devices and networking methodologies, demonstrated automation and testing using state-of-the-art RF/microwave techniques, and hands-on experience working with RF and microwave propagation systems are highly desired. The successful candidate will be capable of leveraging analytical models, finite element modeling, and other simulation tools for device modeling, sensor network development, and instrumentation automation.
