In partnership with the management team, S/he will also maintain loss prevention compliance, store visual and merchandising standards. This position is accountable for the store's controllable profit and identifies and implements actions to reduce waste and inefficiencies. Primary Responsibility:
Accountable for store's controllable profit and advises the General Manager on a weekly basis on progress to plan and implements detailed actions to improve store profitability.
Responsible for accurate and efficient processing of all merchandise in accordance with established procedures, deadlines and visual merchandising standards within the store. Provides feedback on the proficiency and areas of improvement for the Merchandising Stock Associates. Identifies areas of opportunity to reduce waste and inefficiencies, takes action, and implements process improvement plans.
Partners with General Manager to manage the assets of the store by monitoring inventory levels and initiating action to correct inventory discrepancies. Ensures appropriate merchandise flow-through and replenishment processes are in place. Is responsible for store's inventory preparation and execution.
In the absence of other managers, leads the store opening processes, including the completion of all morning reports. As the manager of the operations/merchandising team, follows all guidelines and freight processes during designated times. This requires working the opening shift. Will function as the Leader on Duty, as directed by the General Manager, by demonstrating a high degree of knowledge of the Office Depot Inc. sales principles and customer service expectations.
Responsibilities as an External Key Carrier include but are not limited to: ensuring the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of other or in conjunction with other managers. Performing opening or closing responsibilities. This includes activation and deactivation of the store's alarm system. Responsibilities also include all cash handling, daily store balancing and system process for opening and closing of the store.
Ensures merchandise presentation guidelines are met, including the completion of all EBW (Ends, Bulks and Wings) and POG (Planogram) changes and updates. Ensures the completion of RCC (Returns Consolidation Center)/buyback transactions, daily recovery, and daily tasks. Responsible for weekly ad-set, proper pricing, and signage in store, maintains brand standards, and visual merchandising standards.
Responsible for loss prevention compliance. Ensures adherence to loss prevention policies and procedures. May Process daily cash office transactions and assist with reconciling any overages or shortages from the previous day. Partners with Shrink Captain and champions safe working environment.
Completes all applicable management training related to position; including (but not limited to) Anti-Harassment and Discrimination and Code of Ethics. Adhere to OSHA and Worker's Compensation guidelines.
Obtains and maintains Sales Leader certification and other position specific certifications as required. Completes all management training; including (but not limited to) Anti-Harassment, Code of Ethics, etc. Adheres to OSHA, Worker's Compensation, wage and hour, I-9 compliance and other legal requirements.

- Complete daily route and all appropriate paperwork. Communicate obstacles in Tier meeting that prohibit us from meeting our established goals.
- Complete daily pre and post trip checklist
- Actively seek to support implementation of and contribute ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement to the delivery processes.
- Communicate customer feedback to sales and/or supervisory personnel. Contribute ideas and suggestions for improvement utilizing LEAN practices
- May be assigned to participate on LEAN or Safety committees

Qualifications

- Experience in the use of pallet jacks, hand trucks and forklift preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Accident free driving record reflected during a rolling 36-month average
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), only required for operating delivery vehicle exceeding 26,000 lb. Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)
- Department of Transportation (DOT) qualification
- Experience using POD or tablet device in the scanning of customer products.

Overview
At Office Depot, Inc., every leader is responsible for growing total sales and services within the location. The Sales Supervisor, at the direction of the General Manager, will drive the overall services culture within the location. This Sales Supervisor is accountable to achieving sales plan for all services including copy and print, technology, subscriptions, and business services by articulating areas of opportunity and devising and executing action plans to resolve. The person in this role has accountability for driving the store's overall sales training to ensure appropriate Office Depot, Inc. selling techniques are executed.
The Sales Supervisor is also a -Key Carrier- and will be considered the Leader on Duty in the absence of other supervisors or management. All Full-Time Sales Supervisors must be able to work a flexible schedule that aligns to business needs, which includes the ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. In addition, Full-Time Sales Supervisors must be able to perform External Key Carrier responsibilities which include but are not limited to opening and closing responsibilities and be scheduled for those respective shifts.

Primary Responsibilities:
. Leads, coaches, and inspires associates while fostering a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty and exceptional customer/client service delivery. Proactively observes, coaches, and provides feedback to associates to enhance their proficiency in this area. Creates and supervises a sales focused environment through the training and development of associates. Provides input to the General Manager on the assessment and development of store associates, ensuring that all have completed and maintain their certification(s), as applicable (print, tech, etc.)
. Deliver exceptional customer/client service by observing, listening, interacting and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and issue resolution. Helps foster a culture which drive sales through teaching associates to be product experts and customer focused. Is a business services sales leader and a role model for superior customer service by demonstrating an understanding and high degree of proficiency using the Office Depot, Inc sales principles.
. Contributes to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, AOV (Average Order Value), and customer satisfaction improvement across all categories. Collaborates with General Manager on velocity services and executes on new services product launches, including services and product protection plans. Is responsible for driving merchandising sales contests.
. Responsibilities as an External Key Carrier includes but are not limited to: ensuring the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of others or in conjunction with other managers. Performing opening and closing responsibilities including activation and deactivation of the store's alarm system, cash handling, daily store balancing, and other system processes.
. Assists General Manager with managing inventory/inventory levels, assets and expenses within the store by applying financial controls and routinely reviewing all operational processes including receiving, data entry, cash handling, and payroll control. Will also assist with handling merchandise flow-through and replenishment processes.
. Consistently maintains store appearance to company guidelines and keep in a neat, clean, well-stocked environment. Adhere to all standards related to signage labeling, planogram integrity, and merchandise presentation.

Education & Experience:
. Level of Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachrlors Degree preferred.
. Area of Study: Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or another related field preferred
. Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in related field
. Type of Experience: Minimum two years of experience in retail, including management and/or supervisory in a sales driven, customer-oriented company. Sales experience in a services industry a plus.
