GENERAL FUNCTION
The Senior Manager Recruiting leads a team of recruiters providing a consultative recruitment approach; driving consistent communication with business leaders, providing market analysis, executing creative sourcing techniques, candidate assessments, and other talent related activities. This position will also be responsible for recruiting store level field positions in a designated geographic area.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a team of Recruiters. Responsible for coaching and developing for performance to achieve goals
Leads store level hiring across retail brands, develops and maintains a network and pipeline of talent. Responsible for store level hiring for the New York city retail locations.
Leads special recruitment projects as assigned including relationships with Executive Brand Leadership, confidential assignments, project recruitment & talent identification
Participates in regular strategy meetings with hiring managers and HRBP's, providing consultative approach on talent
Participates & leads regular business or brand meetings on Recruiting KPI's, projects, key focus areas
Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on hiring techniques and legal issues regarding hiring practices
Builds and maintains proactive partnerships with all internal and external client groups in order to understand the business needs, staffing needs and issues, and offers solutions through creative and effective sourcing resources and tools
Develops and executes recruitment strategies to proactively search for a diverse pool of candidates using various recruiting methods to include cold-calling, networking/relationship building, social networking sites, and internet
Provides guidance through the interview, offer, and hiring process.
Gathers competitive intelligence, industry trends, and labor market conditions and creates search strategies based on findings
Successfully manages and tracks assigned postings, prioritizes and closes searches against a timeline according to established benchmarks and metrics
Generates reports and data for special projects, new proposals and general corporate information
Implements and enforces consistency with recruiting policies and procedures
Ensure performance of the recruiting team against the Talent Acquisition KPI's.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
7+ years recruitment experience including agency, in-house or high-volume recruitment
Minimum 2 years' experience managing a team
Previous experience in Project Management
Knowledge in recruitment procedures
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Relationship building skills with ability to take initiative, prioritize, influence, negotiate and partner effectively with individuals and all levels of the organization
Experience with change management and the ability to be flexible in work style and responsibility
Strong analytical skills, the ability to report and understand data
Self-motivated and results driven with the ability to influence others
High level of energy, creativity and independent thinking
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or Master's degree
Experience in Retail, Consumer, Healthcare or related industries
