Reporting to the Vice President, Public Policy, the Director of Regulatory Affairs is a new position that will be the primary lead for (1) identifying, assessing, and responding to system-wide regulatory risk; (2) supporting high risk regulations through planning and implementation in conjunction with key stakeholders; and (3) proactively analyzing and forecasting financial impact associated with regulatory risks and changes.

Education Qualifications:

Key ResponsibilitiesThis position will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining a system-wide risk management identifying, assessing, and responding to system-wide regulatory risk

  • Understanding current organizational processes for identifying and implementing regulatory change

  • Elevate high regulatory risks and opportunities using a consistent method of assessment

  • Monitor the federal rulemaking cycle(s) to identify regulatory risks and opportunities using a risk assessment model

  • Develop and tailor consistent communication products to support strategic information sharing and financial risk awareness

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to proactively analyze and forecast financial impact associated with regulatory risks and changes

  • Establish database/file system for storing and sharing information

  • Report to and advise Vice President, Public Policy regarding regulatory affairs.

Required Qualifications

  • A Juris Doctor or Master's degree in business administration, health administration, public administration, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of six (6) to eight (8) years of experience in a complex health related organization or a consulting firm; demonstrated knowledge of trends in healthcare delivery, operations, and policy analysis will be essential; experience in interpreting and assessing regulatory risk across diverse marketplaces will be strongly preferred.
