A Day in the Life of a Regional Marketing & Communications Director:
As the Regional Marketing & Communications Director (RMCD) you will be responsible for managing and implementing advertising, marketing, and communications campaigns/programs for Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA. You will ensure campaign success by measuring specific metrics such as lead targets that impact occupancy. Your role will work directly with the National Marketing & Communications team and create and maintain necessary campaigns to engage multiple target audiences to include: prospective and current residents, government partners, partnering organizations, prospective and current employees, and other audiences.
Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Responsible for research, development, and implementation of strategic marketing plan(s) to meet and sustain targeting occupancy and other business objectives.
Administration of customer relationship management software. Responsible for analysis of performance, system enhancements, and training to ensure efficiencies.
Collaborate with the regional leadership team to evolve innovative strategies based on market conditions and property data that will directly impact occupancy.
Manage all marketing and communications channels to ensure pricing and product are promoted promptly and adequately.
Create and maintain all regional/site marketing collateral and assets to include: videos, photography, virtual tours, floor plans, site maps, brochures, websites, etc.
Management and ongoing enhancement of marketing programs/products to include: search engine optimization, search engine marketing, social media marketing, etc.
Develop an engaging brand presence on regional social media channels. Strategy development to implement content, including optimization, paid and promoted campaigns, contests, and/or contracted agency strategies.
Set-up and continually monitor reputation management for each community and assist team members with strategies to improve while overseeing review responses.
Public relations for initiatives and events specific to the region to increase local media pick up and improve media relations at the regional level.
Facilitate and collaborate with communications on resident communications needs specific to the region.
Administration of other marketing analysis tools to include but not limited to: Google Analytics, rating & review platforms, social media management tool (such as SproutSocial), media analysis and insight reporting (such as Meltwater), and more.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure that the property has proper curb appeal, appropriate signage, models are clean and set up accurately, and all marketing opportunities are leveraged.
Regularly review and understand the market landscape to stay abreast of competitor strengths, weaknesses, and marketing initiatives.
Continually research and make recommendations on new opportunities and marketing channels in the local market.
Oversee and provide training to local and regional teams to reinforce roll-outs and company best practices.
Create and maintain marketing budgets for individual communities and/or region.
Regularly communicate with key stakeholders to include: asset managers, regional executive team members, government partners, etc., regarding marketing performance of any particular asset and/or overall portfolio.
What You Need for Success:
Multifamily or military housing marketing experience preferred.
BA/BS degree required.
Attention to detail, time management skills, exceptional initiative & follow-through skills.
Analytical skills with previous experience developing strategic marketing plans.
Proven track record of achieving marketing goals and demonstrating results from previous positions.
Proven track record in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with management team.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with senior executives and in teams.
Superior interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; ability to thrive in a cross-functional, team-based environment is critical.
Ability and willingness to travel.
Must be willing to work flexible hours when necessary.
Expert proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Graphic design experience is a plus.
