JMT's accounting Department is seeking a team-oriented assistant to join their group. This is a temporary position that has an opportunity to become a full-time role. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative duties for the accounting department. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Pay range is $18-$20/hour, or commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Copying/Scanning/Mailing

  • Filing/indexing documents into the electronic document management system

  • Data Entry

  • Subconsultant invoice review and processing

  • Sub payment research

  • MBE Tracking and Processing

  • Payroll Rosters

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Accountants with various other tasks

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Passion and strong work ethic

  • Ability to prioritize

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

  • Excellent Team player

  • High degree of Professionalism and strong people skills

Preferred Experience

  • Administrative experience in an Accounting department.

  • Knowledge of Project/Cost accounting

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
