Provide individual tutoring to student on a drop-in or appointment basis; small group tutoring with permission from the Director of Student Success; assist student in improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems, work on study skills, and offer test-taking strategies.
Other assistance might include review class material, discussing the text, predicting test questions, formulating ideas for paper, working on solutions to problems, memorization techniques or occasional skill lab assistance. Tutoring is a supplement to teaching. Tutors are not expected to know everything about the subject for which they tutor.
