Summary The primary purpose of a Teller is to control and account for all funds received and deposited daily as part of commissary store operations. in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility. Additional positions may be filled from this announcement. Responsibilities Position responsibilities include: Count change fund, set up cash drawers, and verify the accuracy of each drawer. Turn on the master cash control processor and set up the office terminal(s) for the day's business. Issue change to cashiers. Operate cash register when needed. Check cash register drawers to prevent extensive fund accumulation. Bag and seal cash and checks, make up change list for secure pick up and deposit. Physical requirements:??????? The work is primarily sedentary but does include some standing, walking and occasional bending. May be required to lift and/or carry money boxes or bags. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must possess one year general experience OR two years above high school OR a qualifying combination of experience and education by the closing date of this announcement. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of a Teller. Appropriate education may be substituted for or combined with experience. This education must be from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
