Do you have at least one year of instructional design experience? Are you a jack-of-all-tradesInstructional Designer? The Instructional Designer supports company training initiatives by designing and developing online learning courses for training for our 700+ franchise and corporate owned retail store associates nationwide.
Located onsite at the Batteries Plus national training facility in Pewaukee, WI, as a member of our Training and Learning & Development team, the Instructional Designer will work closely with our other instructional designers at both our Pewaukee training facility location and our corporate office and national headquarters in Hartland, WI. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of instructional design experience and developing training materials as well as a Bachelor's Degree. Responsibilities:
Act as point of contact to stakeholders to support and assess existing projects and programs
Manage the training design process timeline for new requests and change requests
Use sound ID theory to create and provide on-going maintenance of webinars, job aids, instructor led training, computer based training and videos
Initiate new material and/or modify existing materials to develop curriculum for various product, operations and technical training
Support the development and design of the Train-the-Trainer program
Design classroom training and blended learning as needed
Facilitate webinars and instructor led training programs on an on-going basis
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or direct experience equivalent
1-3 years of experience developing training materials or coursework and the creation of CBT courses, blended learning and traditional ILT
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of instructional design, adult learning and learning styles, principles and theories
Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360 and other instructional design technologies such as Camtasia, Captivate and PhotoShop software applications
Knowledge of video software
Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office products
Basic understanding of HTML
Basic understanding of LMS, including creation and administration of courses, offerings and reports
