POSITION SUMMARYThe Credit and Collections Clerk performs all activities related to the collection and maintenance of the company's open customer accounts receivables balances. Directly responsible in researching credit information and solving payment issues for new and existing customers as well as assist them in solving problems that will enable and motivate payment of past due balances.

Essential Functions Statement(s)- Monitor and contact assigned Customer List with past due balances daily.- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip tracing, phone contact, and written correspondence to secure payments.- Document all correspondence on accounts after each contact with the customer.- Research account discrepancies and advise other departments for help in resolution.- Review sales orders on credit hold for approval and release.- Contact appropriate departments to advise of account holds.- Report all accounts to Credit Manager when further actions are needed.- Customer Account Reconciliation and issue refunds when applicable.- Help conduct credit reviews for inactive or new customers.- Manage risk creatively driving win/win situations between Employer and Customers.- Maintain quality customer service and a positive company image.- Consistently improving productivity and efficiency through process improvement initiatives. - Assist with projects as needed.
