Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position requires either Java and/or .Net/C#
Understand the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Ensure work meets project standards
Provide technical leadership and application development
Provide continuous process improvement focused on delivering high-performance APIs and reusable microservices to guide modernization, integration, and interoperability of key systems
Utilize and evangelize Agile software development practices
Design, develop, and test Azure cloud-solution based upon software specifications, user/business requirements, and design standards
Implement ETL solutions using data integration tools
Manage modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures
Effectively visualize data to efficiently answer business questions
Design and develop code that is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault tolerant
Prepare required documentation, including ETL data mappings, data dictionaries, processes, programs, and solutions as per established standards for data governance
Execute ETL processes and SQL queries
Continuously improve speed, efficiency, and scalability of solutions delivery
Design, develop, and test applications/dashboards based upon software specifications, user/business requirements, and design standards
Establish metadata, consistent data definitions, and associated business rules to monitor overall data quality

Required Skills and Experience
Must be able to take ownership of work as a highly motivated self-starter
Must be able to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, manage time efficiently, and work in a small team environment
Must have strong knowledge and experience with application implementation, development, and maintenance
Must have Java and ETL experience
Must have data analytics experience
Must have J2EE Development and Design Experience with Spring and SpringBoot and backend services development
Must have experience with Java/J2EE Eclipse RESTful/SOAP APIs implementation
Must demonstrate technical leadership and application development
Must possess MS SQL Server database design and development experience
Must possess Junit 4 Test Case Writing experience and knowledge
Must have experience debugging and correcting errors in computer programs
Professional Certifications
None
Formal Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical degree
Years of Professional Experience
8+ years of Java or .Net/C# development
Security Clearance Requirements
Must possess or be able to obtain a Public Trust (MBI)
Citizenship
U.S. Citizenship Required

This is a Florida based position. However, it is remote so other locations may be considered except applicants from CA, CO, NJ, NY will not be considered.

Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with Agile methodology and DevOps to include version control, automated builds, automated testing, and continuous integration with tools such as Jenkins.
