Supports initial and ongoing staff assessments and identifies requirements for ongoing education for the Sterile Processing department technicians. Provides the monitoring of core competencies, providing input on employee evaluation and supports the internal audit and quality processes. The incumbent serves as the primary resource person for departmental skills and expert knowledge to sterile processing staff in their assigned areas; assists with an interdisciplinary approach to achieve excellence and continuity of sterile processing with a defined emphasis on staff education and practice. Work Experience: 4 years experience as a sterile processing technician. Demonstrated strong skills in the IMPRESS or equivalent web-based instrument tracking system. Ability to provide education to adult employees and experience in written, verbal, and multimedia methods preferred.

Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
