Do you have at least one year of Supply Chain and Demand Planning experience? Looking for the next step-up in your career? The Associate Merchandise Planner will create and analyze item and product store demand forecasts and inventory plans for Batteries Plus store nationwide. Located at our corporate office and national headquarters in Hartland, WI, the Associate Merchandise Planner is key member of our corporate Supply Chain team. You will identify trends that affect future orders, inventory levels, and in-stock percentages, report metrics and partner with planning analysts, and partners with our retail store operations, product management, category management, and supply chain teams.
The Associate Merchandise Planner will have at least one year of experience in Demand Planning and Supply Chain management, advanced Excel skills, a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Business Administration or related field, and a passion for the analysis of data. Responsibilities:
Store Level Inventory Planning
Identify trends that will affect future orders, inventory levels and in-stock percentages
Understand how sales trends, promotional activity and shipment patterns will affect in-stock percentages and profitability, making appropriate adjustments to allocation plans
Report metrics and partner with the planning analysts to ensure best practices are being used on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
Review and maintain project plans to make sure all participants deliver as expected and initiatives are completed on-time and on-budget
Process and manage the store level orders to vendors and optimize sales while minimizing store to store transfers
Vendor Management & Reporting
Serve as the subject matter expert on stores inventory planning and provide system and process assistance
Make purchases from outside vendors and provide performance metrics to internal teams
Review and manage store forecast and allocation process
Present order flow analysis to optimize sales & inventory and ensure product availability
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in Demand Planning or Supply Chain experience, or equivalent relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Finance, Math, Business Administration, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office
Prior experience using supply chain software systems
Experience in planning, forecasting, and replenishment
Passion for analysis of data with demonstrated strong research and problem-solving skills
