This role is part of the Universal Service Programs team with direct responsibility to interact with various teams in and out of the Company to optimize the value of participating in state and federal Universal Service Fund (USF) mechanisms. Part customer service superstar, part analyst and part project coordinator, the Associate Program Manager, Compliance role supports the Company by ensuring compliance and mitigating risk in all universal service fund related customer activities, delighting end users and internal customers along the way. This role is responsible for assembling information required for and submitting various internal/external reports or data, understanding and communicating clearly to others various USF requirements and processes, and supporting key initiatives for the team or business partners as assigned.
What you'll do in your role.
Daily monitor, record, review and/or take action on USF (customer and general) activities in compliance with USF program and business requirements, utilizing reports and other information to complete analysis to impact accounts, submit invoices, and/or submit compliance reports as needed
Support customers, frontline and business partners by timely and accurately responding to inquiries and participating in conference calls providing USF program compliance and other information as appropriate
Maintain record of all USF program related information in secure and organized manner, including implementing and maintaining databases as well as data tracking tools that monitor activities and enable swift reporting of key metrics/information
Based on business need, provide regular and ad hoc reporting of USF data essential to business success including to and for frontline, business partners and leadership
Monitor applicable rules and requirements and comply in all activities, raising potential issues of non-compliance to leadership immediately and partnering to resolve matters, proactively communicating real or perceived barriers to compliance with stringent deadlines
The experience you'll bring.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
2+ years Wireless Telecommunications Industry required.
Microsoft Office Suite experience, including 2+ years Excel required
1-2 years Customer Service experience required.
1-2 years Finance and/or Analytics work experience required
Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint Experience preferred
Billing System Experience preferred
Regulatory work experience preferred
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
High School Diploma or GED
