Position Overview:
At the TCS Network Defense team within CACI, we are dedicated to safeguarding national security through cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. We are seeking an Email Engineer to join our ranks and support our cybersecurity team. This role focuses on email expertise, with the opportunity to grow and learn in cybersecurity.
Job Description:
As an Email Engineer supporting cybersecurity, you will be a key member of the Network Defense team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain secure email systems and related technologies. This position allows you to leverage your email expertise while gaining valuable cybersecurity experience through close collaboration with our Network Defense team.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Security Technology Design: Design and implement secure email architectures, including selecting and configuring email gateways, filtering systems, and encryption technologies.
Anti-Phishing Measures: Implement solutions to detect and prevent phishing attacks.
Spam and Malware Protection: Configure and manage spam filters and antivirus solutions.
Encryption and Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Deploy encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive information within emails and implement DLP solutions to prevent unauthorized disclosure of confidential data.
Incident Response Support: Provide necessary access and logs to support incident response teams and assist in integrating and sending data to SIEMs/SOARs.
Policy Development and Compliance: Develop and enforce email security policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards and internal security requirements.
Continuous Monitoring and Configuration: Implement tools and processes for continuous email traffic monitoring, ensuring policies, configurations, and systems operate as intended.
Collaboration with IT and InfoSec Teams: Work closely and collaboratively with IT teams, email administrators, and the Network Defense team to integrate email security measures with overall organizational security strategies. You will be supported by these teams and other team members.
Core Strengths and Skills:
Strong knowledge and understanding of email security architecture, protocols, and controls.
Expertise in implementing and managing email-based data loss prevention.
Experience with threat detection and response tools, ensuring a vendor-agnostic approach.
Ability to stay positive and adapt quickly to changing business requirements.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to visualize strategic solutions.
Strong understanding of email security issues and threats and how they can manifest in complex environments.
Understanding of email security fundamentals and common protocols (DNS, SMTP, IMAP, IMAPS).
Navigating DNS and other networking dependencies for mail.
Strong communication, consultative, influencing, and presentation skills.
Required Skills and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in information systems, related discipline, or equivalent training.
5+ years of related work experience in an email role.
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot email infrastructure services.
Experience with email incident response processes and procedures.
IAT II certification required
CSSP Infrastructure Support Certification within 120 days of starting on contract

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$74,600-$156,700
