The Team
Core Data Services team is at the center of Data and Analytics initiative. We are in the beginning of our journey to build enterprise data platform capabilities to be a true underpinning of any data needs for the enterprise. Our mission is to make reliable data available and enable value creation by the data community of engineers, analysts and decision makers. Core Data Services team consists of Platform engineering team, Data Engineering, Data Enablement and ultimate owner and operator - Operations team.
The Role
Data drives everything we do at Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Marketing teams need the right data signals to market the right event to the right fan at the right time. Product and business leads need easy access to key metrics to measure the health of their business. We are constantly building new products that rely on data to power user experiences, and these products in-turn generate new, valuable data. With so much of our business depending on the comprehensiveness, availability, and accuracy of data, it is critical that Ticketmaster and Live Nation have the right team in place to manage it.
We are looking for a strong Project Manager who can thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on supporting development teams that deliver applications and services supporting Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence & Analytics Platform teams. We are seeking candidates who are proactive, self-starters and have a proven track record of delivering world-class products, preferably in data intensive organizations. The ideal candidate should be an accomplished professional who possesses the passion, experience, skills and abilities to help extend our data accessibility capabilities.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more engineering teams
Collaborate with Product and Tech Leads to establish prioritization, planning and execution process that ensures delivery of projects in a fast-paced environment.
Identify and quickly resolve changes in scope, schedules and resource requirements
Identify and communicate risks; work with subject matter experts to develop and implement risk mitigation plans
Prioritize and track issues and create remediation plans for resolution of impediments in priority order
Coordinate with interdependent teams, aligning roadmaps and deliverables to meet deadlines. Establish and develop relationships and partnerships with internal and external team members
.Understand and maintain focus on business value and KPI project is seeking to impact
Maintain accurate project reporting information and up-to-date project assets and metrics
Ensure open and clear communication regarding product releases, roadmaps, and challenges.
Remove team impediments to increase the effectiveness of scrum team members
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
3-5 years of experience in Agile Project Management, preferably in data intensive organization
Certification in one or more project management frameworks (CSM, PMP, etc.) required or applicable experience managing a data engineering team with direct responsibility for delivery of business value.
Demonstrated experience establishing Agile Project Management process within an existing team
Demonstrated experience with large-scale, complex, cross discipline technology projects, including scope definition, schedule development and management, communications and stakeholder engagement activities
Excellent knowledge of agile techniques, artifacts, values and principles
Passionate about continuous improvement and the benefits that these techniques can bring to the organization
Excellent communication and presentation skills with technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
Ability to lead efficient meetings through preparation and stakeholder subscription and an ability to guide a group towards agreed upon objectives
Able to adjust delivery approach, language and level of detail to meet audience needs; foster relationships even under difficult circumstances
Deep experience with data driven decision making and business metrics
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills (at all levels internally, externally and cross-functionally)
Detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
Able to manage competing priorities with little supervisory input
Flexible and responsive to changing situations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to inspire and motivate teams
Self-motivated and focused achieving results
Desire to work in fast-paced, multi-task, fluid environment capable of reacting instantly to changes in a competitive business environment
Working knowledge of both Jira and Confluence or similar tools
