The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella, and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.

THE ROLE

The Site Experience Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of the event productions by performing the technical and physical aspects related to show production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Defining the project and creating Project Plan

  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management

  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project

  • Create task lists and deliverables with their targeted completion and assigned owner

  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, staffing etc) required to complete the project

  • Determine what the technical requirements for the project include ie power, lighting, audio

  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities

  • Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required

Staffing the project

  • In consultation with the director, schedule staff with appropriate skills for the project activities

  • Manage project staff onsite at warehouse and at festival grounds

  • Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project scope and plan for completion

  • Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate or required

Implement the project

  • Execute the project according to the project plan

  • Develop forms and records to document project activities and targeted goals along the project timeline

  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project

  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project

  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards

Control the project

  • Write reports on the project for management and executives.

  • Monitor budgeted project expenditures

  • Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures or responsibilities set forth by senior management

  • Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date and accessible

Personal skills

  • Ability to adapt to change.

  • College Degree, preferable.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Good team spirit;

  • Open-mindedness.

  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, operation, with appropriated certification.

  • Excellent Computer skills: knowledge of CAD, PDF, Adobe, Google Sheets, MS Office.

  • Provide own laptop and cell phone.

  • Two plus years of touring experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years minimum festival or concert tour experience

  • Must possess valid and current driver license

  • Must possess valid and current U.S. passport

  • Must possess valid and current credit card for hotel incidentals

  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklift, boom lift, scissor lift etc.

  • Ability to use hand tools, saws, etc.

  • Knowledge in basic lighting

  • Must be highly motivated and possess superior interpersonal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of web and mobile technologies as well as two-way radio

  • Must possess working mobile device, preferably smart phone

  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 75lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments

  • May work in drastic temperature climates

  • Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours and travel to events, as required, to meet deadlines
