GENERAL FUNCTION
This crucial position will function as the -right hand- of the SVP, Logistics and Distribution Planning by leading highly visible and important projects that support the mission of the logistics team. Will work closely with the SVP in driving the rhythm-of-the-business, team connectedness and project execution. This is a strategic and visible operational position providing counsel and project support to the organization's most senior leaders. This vital managerial role collaborates with the Operations, Transportation and business partners to assess, identify, plan, and implement key business objectives. Additionally, collaborates across all sales channels managing projects and reporting.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify inefficiencies that impede business group success and provide solutions/recommendations: identify opportunities and industry best practices to create cross group collaboration and synergies
Organize and present business cases to top management, coordinating with the different functional leaders and with finance team, to make sure the data are analyzed properly and that the results are consistent, well-summarized and in line with the leadership expectations
Collaborate with all sales channels to ensure alignment on objectives and consensus on expected outcomes. Work directly with the Operations and Transportation teams to implement improvements
Provide insight and advice to the leadership team around operational excellence, headcount, resource planning, participate in overall group strategy decisions and assist in implementing policies
Strategic project management: holistic view and priority definition of all North America projects and improvement plans. Assure proper coordination and alignment between all the projects and company strategy. Define the best communication strategy to the projects sponsors and collaborate with the different project teams on expected execution and timelines
Act as the logistics focal point towards the business leaders of many different organizations regarding future strategy definition and all Integration Projects.
Lead cross functional teams identifying resources and assigning responsibilities to guarantee successful and timely execution of projects
Develop tools and reports to enhance visibility and efficiency of product flow, and build project plans, designed based on the inputs of different teams.
Coordinate the development of following year Budget in partnership with Finance, NA Leadership team and Corporate functions to guarantee efficiency and effectiveness of the initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
8+ years experience within a complex logistics organization
Extensive knowledge of key transportation and warehousing processes and related cost drivers
Ability to build strong relationships
Ability to handle and communicate sensitive information
Project management of cross-functional projects
Travel may be required
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
8-10 years' experience within complex logistics organizations, including some managerial role involved in logistics network management
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
