Cracker Barrel is seeking a Sr. OD Specialist to join our Talent & Leadership Development (TLD) team here the Home Office. This Specialist will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet Org Development initiatives, needs and program goals and measuring the achievement of established goals.
Consult with all levels in the organization on workforce planning, development and interventions including team effectiveness, new leader assimilation, succession planning, performance management, development assessments, calibration assessments, leadership development, skill development programs for targeted field leadership roles.
Conduct research and analysis to provide a research and data-based foundation and metrics for organizational development initiatives and programs.
Lead organizational development processes and initiatives. At the direction of TLD leadership, partners with Executives and Operational and HR leadership to develop, implement and execute organizational development processes, initiatives systems, tools, and resources. Manage the daily execution of assigned responsibilities. Analyzes data resulting from these systems and processes to identify and recommend changes.
Individual coaching and performance improvement process. At the direction of TLD leadership, utilizes assessments, multi-rater feedback, and other competency tools and development resources to coach and facilitate individual (Officers and below) performance improvement. Assists leaders in identifying most critical performance areas or skills needing development and developing a plan of action for closing gaps. Analyzes performance gaps to identify new learning and development content in partnership with the Training department.
At the direction of TLD leadership, researches and analyzes operational performance and HR data and information to measure the effectiveness of organizational development programs and initiatives, identify performance gaps and potential opportunities, and provide recommendations on
improvements or key focus. Research best practices in succession planning, leadership development, assessments, performance management, employee engagement, etc.
At the direction of TLD leadership, develop and / or execute team effectiveness sessions, focus groups, employee forums, leadership and career development programs, tools and resources. Audit and evaluate training and development programs conducted by vendors for potential usage by CBOCS.
A thorough understanding of the principles, theory and practice of organizational development, including leadership development and performance and change management.
Excellent skill at consulting and building rapport with clients at all levels.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel.
Strong project management and planning skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Advanced analytical and decision making skills with a high degree of detail-orientation.
Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning techniques.
