Responsibilities Serves as a Supervisory Store Associate in a commissary store at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility. The primary purpose of this position is perform as a first line supervisor for Store Associates.. Service as a first line supervisor for store associates Front end operations including patron identification, customer inquiries, check out and cash control. Non-perishable stock control including transporting items and stocking shelves. Meat display and case stocking. Produce inspection, display and rotation. Account maintenance, supply and computer operations. Contractor performance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume and supporting documents must show that you meet the qualifications for the grade level or levels for which you are applying. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-06 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Examples of specialized experience include: Plan, direct or assign work for employees. Knowledge of multiple departments within a grocery store in order to evaluate work, provide instruction and conduct on the job training for workers. Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations. See the OPM Qualification Standards for more information.
