Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Technical Art Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the art development pipeline, proficiency in Houdini, Blender, and Adobe Suite tools, as well as experience with Python programming. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of artists and engineers on cutting-edge projects that support LM MFC efforts. Responsibilities include:
-Assist in the development and creation of 3D models, textures, and animations using Houdini, Blender, and Adobe Suite tools
-Write Python scripts to automate and streamline art development processes
-Collaborate with the art and engineering teams to develop and implement art assets and visual effects
-Assist in the creation of concept art, storyboards, and other visual materials
-Maintain and update art asset libraries and documentation
-Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently in final semester of Technical Art masters program at UCF
- Learned experience in HLSL shader programming, rendering pipeline and art tool creation
- Successful completion of Digital Asset Portfolio Development curriculum in technical and common art
- Successful completion of Interactive Entertainment Capstone I and II
- Proficiency in Houdini, Blender and Adobe Suite tools
Desired Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Modeling and Texturing Experience
- Familiarity with game engines, such as Unity or Unreal Engine, is a plus
- Experience with Python programming for automation and scripting

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
