The HR Business Process Manager-Workday Payroll is responsible for the support and implementation of HCM areas in Workday to include based processes, programs, and solutions to support current and future business requirements. Support the portfolio of Workday initiatives which include planning and execution of projects. Collaborate with all HR functions to identify best practices and efficiencies and work with IT and/or third-party solution providers to implement changes.
- Utilizes a strong knowledge of the company's business systems, industry standards/trends, and best practices to identify opportunities to improve business processes.
- Serve as the HRIS partner supporting HCM areas in Workday, including Payroll, Time, Absence, Compensation
- Serve as a strong consultative partner to HR Business Partners and HR COEs in service delivery
- Oversee the portfolio of Workday initiatives. Manages cross-functional project teams and vendors. Drives consensus and alignment with all stakeholders.
- Design and maintain system configuration for Workday, including Supervisory Organization, Custom Organizations, etc.
- Maintain master data values in Workday (ex: Pay Groups, Earning, Deductions, Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Position locations). Test, validate, and implement Business Process changes in Workday
- Work to meet expected business performance goals by providing full range of customer service Provide input to Workday Team Lead, Workday Team Members, and clients as appropriate
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process acumen
- Analyze current business/workflow processes and requirements within HR to align technology with strategic initiatives.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Business, or related field plus 5- 7 years experience in business process design and project management.
- Masters degree in Business or HR Information Technology Preferred
- Workday HCM Payroll Required
- HR functional experience Preferred
Certifications
- Workday Payroll Certification
- Workday Time Certification
- Workday Absence Certification
Knowledge and Skills
- Proven project management skills.
- Extensive expertise and industry knowledge related to information technology.
- Strong relationship management skills (collaboration, influencing).
- Excellent customer service skills
- Skilled at business process design and simulation.
- Strong HR analysis skills.
- Implementation experience with Workday, Ultimate Software, SAP SuccessFactors, or other HR/Payroll System.
- Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
- Ability to accurately collect information to understand and assess the clients' needs and situation.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
