MANAGER - GUEST SERVICES ANCILLARY SALES - House of Blues

Job Summary:

THE ROLE:

The Guest Service Ancillary Manager is responsible for leading the team that generates upsell revenue such as premier parking, lawn chair rentals, reserved lawn seating, Fast Lane, future ticket sales, ticket upgrades and other upsell revenue streams during the day of show.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Communicate with the venue's core team about staffing, upsell availability and overall execution of upsell programs during the show.

  • Communicate with the box office manager during the day of show to troubleshoot any opportunities that arise with guests, upsell availability or equipment.

  • Lead a team of ancillary/upsell sellers

  • Manage -cash to card- (reverse ATM) cashless system

  • Manage lawn chair rental program

  • Maintain inventory of ancillary products throughout the season

  • Secure and reconcile day of show ancillary sales

  • Work with onsite, day of show corporate sponsorship leaders

  • Provide suggestions to venue leaders based on day of show experiences and feedback from teams and guests, such as new, creative trends, revenue streams for pricing strategies, best practices and team execution for both presales and day of show

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must present unexpired original document(s) establishing identity and authorization to work in the United States

  • A clear pre-employment criminal background check is required.

  • Ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people

  • A love for selling things

  • Excellent guest service skills

  • Excellent team building skills

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership

  • Must have evening and weekend availability

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, outdoors, in all weather conditions

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

  • Reliable transportation required

  • Must attend in-person employee orientation and complete required online training

  • Other duties as assigned by the General or Operations Managers
