Recruiting Profile
Dal-Tile is currently seeking an eager and motivated Technical Supervisor to join our TEAM! As an Technical Supervisor, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as evaluates new processes, manager quality control, glaze preparation, technical operations, process reliability and improvements
Major Function and Scope
Lead a world class organization that fosters safety and health as a core value, specifically when it pertains to work process, work conditions, and organization.
Support implementation of safe work practices.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing an effective manufacturing process.
Perform in-process quality audits that ensure product integrity, material specification, and process excellence, communicating all non-conforming items to applicable Supervisor and Molding Department Manager.
Participate in product and equipment investigations. Perform root cause analysis and help create corrective action plans with the team on non-conforming items. Assist in developing approved project improvements to implement in the process.
Assists in performing proper start-up checks for new models and runs ensuring best quality results, reporting non-conformances to on-shift Supervisor immediately.
Leads the daily activities of the cleaning crew verifying thoroughness and increasing efficiency.
Coordinate with maintenance team on tasks, ensuring follow-through.
Implement and maintain 5S, standard work boards and other lean manufacturing principles.
Partner with Molding Department Manager and Molding Process Manager to support troubleshooting
Experience and Knowledge Required
5+ years quartz industry experience required. Strong technical background in mold processes preferred.
Competencies
Core competencies include strong communications skills, organization, data analysis and interpretation, and ability to prioritize. Ability to train, coach and problem solve. Good computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
