We are looking for a Snow M&D Product Developer to join our Volcom Team in Costa Mesa, CA!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Maintain the development and quality of assigned styles by serving as the liaison between the Snow M&D team and Supplier.
Responsible for managing all aspects of the product development calendar, execution of product, and on-time delivery of assigned styles
Monitor and maintain development communication with Suppliers
Create and maintain style Bill of Materials within the company's PLM system
Monitor fabric, print, and color development approvals of assigned styles
Assist with maintaining the sample production cycle to secure on time sample delivery
Responsible for base round of costing negotiations by providing targets to, and gathering costs from, product vendor
Ensure that all product is accurately ready for seasonal integration into the company ERP system
Work closely with compliance team to ensure assigned styles meet all quality and sustainability standards
Collaborate with production and warranty teams to monitor and correct any quality issues with assigned styles
Provide styling, fit and construction comments during development (in conjunction with Design & Fit tech team)
Stay in tune with internal rules & regulations that accompany the production of our product
Assist with yearly trade show and sales meeting prep
Travel required for seasonal development with vendors (international and domestic)
Other duties as assigned to support Snow M&D teams when necessary
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
At least 2 years' experience in apparel product development; snow apparel preferred.
Extensive attention to detail and follow through related to calendar, vendor relations, and inner dept relations
Understand design and construction methods of apparel and/or accessory products
Highly motivated team player with initiative
Word, Excel. Required knowledge at intermediate level
Illustrator 10, CS, CS2. Preferred knowledge at intermediate level
Full Circle and/or PLM. Experience preferred but not required
A Merchandising or Bachelor's degree is preferable but not required
